The holidays had seemed to go and pass with a BANG... drama tended to filter out of the woodwork around that time always... It was something Deklan was starting to get used to and damn drama is so not going to get in the way of spending Valentines Day with his wife this year. Last year he had been laid up for, his birthday and he thought they should do something special and decided to book them a get away for valentine's day and well for his birthday...

Deklan was taking her to New York. Sure Paris would be nicer, but he wasn't sure if she'd want to leave the country... much less go on a trip, but Dek was sly and talked to their big boss and explained to him what he had planned and if they both could get it off. He hoped to god Chey wouldn't throttle him for putting her in for a vacation, but the way he seen it. It is much needed and overdue.

Life had been a bit hectic for them with the stuff going on with Cooper and Maggie, and then Riley and Marie. It was as if they could never get a break and kept ending up with people staying with them. He was waiting for more of her family drama's to spill into their laps...but this was not going to be the holiday it was going to happen no way they are getting away on a romantic vacation and that was final.. Tickets were booked and everything. He hoped that she liked the surprise.

Deklan was even telling their little tot not to go into the hospital this year like she had last year. Not that she'd listen, but hey, it had been worth a shot eh? Deklan had told her that he was going out for a bit and went for a drive to get the plane tickets and went to pick her up some flowers to go with the surprise vacation. He wanted to spring this on her before they left so she could help pick the hotel they will be staying at and they could go shopping and what not in New York. It would be a lovely time. He even got an extra ticket on reserve with flier miles in case they want to take the little bean.

He himself wasn't sure how Jessica would do, but knew her momma would miss her so so much being away fro a week so Kayla said she could take her if she becomes too much... since she herself had a loft in New York and was usually between the two a lot. So things were settled with that front... Deklan pulled up to their house and walked in the door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Just because he loves her and thought, they'd accompany the surprise well....

"HONEY I AM HOMEEEEEEE!" Deklan called and the little beanie came and clung to his leg going daddy wanting a piggy back ride, but he gave her the flowers and told her to go give them to momma and watched her waddle with them to Chey it was the most adorable thing in the world to him and he loved that girl to bits and pieces.. In addition, in the flowers with the card were the tickets. Hell, if she even wanted to go to the ballet while they were there they could. He wanted to make things special for them.

It was after all more then just valentine's day for them and he didn't forget as was some guys would. Like his ex best friend that used to date her... Deklan always had to tell the dude when it was her birthday and other important things regarding them! Thankfully he hasn't heard from that jackarse in a while.........
