OOC: today's outfit (right picture)
Maric had left Beaumont about two hours prior. His goal to hunt down one of the Winchester sons. Namely Ryder. He could admit that finding the address hadn’t been the easiest task. No doubt, the man had taken certain precautions while settling down. Maric could respect that. Any man would go far to protect his family. But if one looked closely it wasn’t hard to sniff out the trail that had been left behind. It had taken time, but his research had proven successful. Looking up at the large house, a thoughtful expression lay heavy on his face.
The rain poured down, the sound of rain meeting the muddy ground occasionally overshadowed by flashes of lightning in the sky. The weather had taken a turn for the worse since Maric had gotten into his car and headed for the outskirts of the town. While he preferred the sun, this posed a perfect excuse for him to go knocking on their door. For the time being the mission was to scout the surroundings and vaguely to get to know the inhabitants of the house. Had the Winchester son lived on his own the house would have been much smaller. So there was no way the home was occupied simply by one man. There would most likely be a wife. Maybe even kids.
Exactly how many it was that lived there, he didn’t know. Hence why he was planning his moves all the more carefully. One of the most foolish moves to make when faced with a skilled opponent was to go in blindly. And if there were, indeed, children in there… Honestly, Maric was unsure of how to proceed if that were the case. His target was Ryder Winchester, nobody else. With a bit of luck he would figure out a way to keep the man’s family out of harm’s way. However, luck never seemed to be on his side lately.
Maric had hidden his car further back; as his excuse was to be that his car had broken down. That his phone wasn’t getting any reception and that this house was the first one he’d come across. His soaked clothes would partially represent that what he said was true. His phone would take care of the rest. He’d taken the SIM-card out in the car. He’d simply prepared in every way possible. Letting his right hand find its way to his hair, he ruffled it a little. Making it a bit more tousled than it already was. Hopefully, whoever answered the door would see him as credible.
Walking up to the door, Maric looked around one last time before rising his hand and pushing the doorbell. He could faintly make out the ringing from the inside. But it was quickly drowned out by the smattering rain and occasional thunder.

Spread a bit of Sunshine..
It was always good to have a project. Something you could do to whittle the time away or keep your mind preoccupied when you didn't want to think.
Thankfully, their new home provided the new Mrs. Winchester with just that.
There were walls to cleaned, a nursery to be painted, a garden to be planted and at least a few million other things that kept her from dwelling on the ticking of the clock every second that Ryder was away. The fact that it was all her's to do with what she liked was an added bonus. The feeling of achievement she felt after each job done was inspiring and she found herself blasting through the list of minor things in record time.
So quickly that she soon found herself staring up at the old fashioned chandelier and frowning.
The thing really was filthy and it needed a good cleaning.
Unfortunately, she'd also promised Ryder that she wouldn't be getting up on any ladders so that left her in a quandary. Should she or shouldn't she? That was the question.
Nibbling on her bottom lip, the petite blond rubbed a hand over her rounded stomach and sighed. Tucking an escaping lock of hair back into the handkerchief holding her braids out of the paint, she glanced out the window at the rain and then back at the chandelier.
Ryder would KILL her if he came home to find her on a ladder.
The dirty thing was REALLY bugging her though.
Just as she had decided that it had to be done, the sound of a tap on the door made her foot pause on the first rung. Freezing in mid motion, she frowned and glanced towards the front doors. Who on earth would be out in this storm and in their neck of the woods?
Only someone out of their mind, thats who!
Grumbling a bit under her breath, Simi blew out a sigh and glared at the chandelier. With a disgruntled "humph" she shook her head and headed for the entryway. After all, it simply wouldn't do to leave someone out in the pouring rain now matter how insane they might be.
By the time she reached it and swung the heavy mahogany open, a typical bright smile was in place to greet the stranger on the other side. Little did she know she had dust bunnies on her clothing, a streak of paint on her cheek and black hand smears on the pockets of her bib overalls where she'd tried to wipe grim away.
"OH!! Hello!!!!" she chirped by way of greeting, casting a look around to make sure the fellow was alone. "Can I help you??"

A cold shiver went through his body. The soaked clothes plastered against his skin. There wasn't much to fake, really. He only hoped that whoever opened the door didn't have the guts to send away a stranded stranger. It would probably be the wise thing to do, but not the humane options. And humans often acted on emotions rather than wisdom. It was more than often the very thing he relied on. Humans were more predictable than they thought.
As the door finally swung open, Maric looked up to meet the bright smile of a blonde woman. His gaze fixed momentarily on the smeer on her cheek before he met her eyes with his own. "I'm sorry to intrude, m'am." He began. His hands drawn back under his jacket as though seeking cover from the rain. "My car broke down, and your house was the first I stumbled across." A friendly smile appeared on his pale, cold lips.
Maric was careful not to draw any suspicion as he took a look into the hallway. It was just a curious look. He soon let it return to the woman who'd opened the door. "So, I was wondering if I could use your phone? Please? You'd be a lifesaver."
From what Maric could tell, the woman wouldn't turn him away. She didn't seem the kind. But for all he knew, she was a hunter as well. His eyes fixed on the wedding ring she wore for no more than a second. Either that, or her husband would have no doubt told her to be careful around strangers. They probably had demon traps in the house somewhere. Silver, always close at hand. And other weapons against all the other supernatural beings they fought. Luckily for him, he was a hundred procent human. That would probably earn him some credibility.
As the cold crept further and further under his skin, Maric swept his arms around himself. Trying to stay warm. His eyes watching and waiting to hear the woman's answer to his questions. If he wasn't able to get to Ryder through her, he'd have to find another way. So far, all the other options were much less friendly. Seeing as she was pregnant, that posed a lot of problems. He didn't want to hurt anybody else, if possibly. But if he had to, he would. He was far more worried about drawing the demon's anger on himself than he was for a pregnant woman he didn't even know. She would be just another casualty in the war.

Spread a bit of Sunshine..
The man looked utterly miserable. Standing under the porch and out of the rain, he still shivered from the cold of being soaked to the bone. Simi felt her heart contract for him but it still didn't mean she was stupid. She had teethed on stories of how the most innocent of looks could hide the deadliest of intentions and her mama hadn't raised no fool.
"Um... actually, I am in the middle of some major remodeling but you can step into the foyer if you like. The rest of the house is a disaster but you can at least use the phone from there and be out of the rain." she said casually, blue eyes scanning the area behind him and then casting a quick protection barrier as she retreated into the house, leaving the door open a bit.
It was one her mama always used with inviting a stranger into the house and as long as he meant her no harm, it wouldn't harm him. However, if he was wishing to hurt her, it would fling him back outside the moment he put his plan into motion.
"My brother and some of the workers should be arriving soon so maybe they can help you out with your vehicle if nothing else!"
Stepping over to the hall table, she picked up the cordless from where she'd dropped it earlier and turned to face the stranger. As she did so, her expression was open and friendly but there was an air of cautiousness about her.
"Theres a little shop in Beaumont that does really good work. I think my husband has it programed in at number six." she drawled out in her soft southern accent. "With any luck, they can get out here in the next thirty minutes or so..... By the way, what did you say brought you out here?? This isn't a road most people travel... Are you lost or something??"
Tilting her blond hair, Simi gave him an innocent look that belied the ready stance of her body in case of trouble. Although six months pregnant, she still trusted in her own magic to ward off any real threats to her or the babes.
