Home it was good to be home again and see some old friends once again. Karlie and Damon had been away for sometime and it was a good get away helping his momma who is getting up there in age with the resorts in the Bahamas. It was any girls dream come true right living there? He was sure Karlie had fun there, but she was happier here around her family and friends. He knew she planned to go see her sister and that devil cat. He swears that beast is a hellhound in disguise dressed as a cat. He and it never got on. He couldn’t believe the on goings they have missed when they were away.
Things seemed to be spiraling out of control. Simi had got married, Ryder had made some sort of deal, Sebastian was back home, Tristan back from the dead, Lexi taking in kids not to mention Simi being pregnant, Tameryn his daughter handling two kids, nerd getting divorced, and Makayla being weird. Then the other kids having drama’s of their own. The Drama never seemed to end. Reah was happy to be home around the family as well. He knew he couldn’t shelter her from their families curse forever, but perhaps it was time for her to start getting trained up too. He was trying to teach her how to handle her powers, but she needed more training then just her powers.
Their family had targets on their backs all around ‘come and get Me.’ to the evil kind. Damon used to always tell Lexi she had a tattoo on her butt. Sometimes he did wonder if they all had invisible tattoos there. Perhaps they do have some sort of tattoo there who knows. All that mattered now was that they were home and they could help with things that need to be dealt with. He was glad to be closer to his babies again. He loves being around them. He had Reah all the time except when she as at School, but he missed his other lil girls and sons too.
Today he was spending time with Reah, while her momma does her own thing. Who knows maybe flying out to see her sister, or chill with some of the other kids he didn’t know, but right now. It was daddy and Reah time and he was telling her to hurry it up and get dressed or he was going to hang her upside down by her toes and leave her here. When the little pumpkin got dressed, they were going to head out. He was sat in the kitchen reading the newspaper and sipping his coffee while he waited for his lil girl, he called after her “REAH!” he yelled “Are you almost ready… What do you want to do today?” He asked not knowing if she could hear him or not, but hey it was worth a try right?

How long were they off seeing her Grandma? Reah couldn’t even remember but what she did know was that she had missed home terribly. Her heart had ached to finally be home to see her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephew. As much as she loved being in a foreign country, meeting new people, she missed her family more. So finally after enough time; Reah and her parents were back in the United States where they belonged. Sleeping in her own bed and knowing that her siblings were close was a great comfort to the nine year old, more than it probably would for family’s that weren’t as close as them.
The short time they had been gone seemed to change all the people that Reah had grown up with. People were married, others were having babies, and even Kayla was being extra nice. It seemed to unnerve a lot of people how her big sister was acting but she didn’t. This was her big sister, she always had a soft spot for her. Kay was the one that taught her how to prank a person and the best way to scare the crap out of Ben when he was half asleep. Maybe that’s why she enjoyed the attention from her sibling, it showed her that she was truly loved by the firstborn Rhys-Damara. There was such a gap difference in age between the two that you would think they wouldn’t get along, but Reah and Kay seemed to break that stereotype. If anything the youngster almost seemed to be idolizing her big sister, wanting to be like her when she grew up.
Most days Reah liked to shadow her momma; bake and cook and do her lessons with her. But today was daddy daughter day and she couldn’t be more excited! There wasn’t many times that it was just the two of them. If they were it was when he was putting her through training, helping her control her powers that seemed to becoming more erratic then usual. She had been playing it off to her father when he would ask why she was having a hard time with them and she would always lie. If there was one thing you would ever learn about the young girl it is that she hates to worry anyone about her. It could have something to do with her parents babying her, but when it was something she knew that they’d freak out about she tended to try to take care of it herself. Her own version of individuality. The only person that knew she was having problems was Kay, and she wanted to keep it that way while they tried to figure out what was wrong.
Quickly Reah attempted to get dressed putting on countless outfits until she found the one she most felt like for that day. It took a few tries but she felt she finally came up with the perfect outfit. A dark purple sun dress with her black ankle boots and neon striped socks. She had her own sense of style which was honestly something she was quite proud of. Not many nine year olds were allowed to make up the outfits that she did and she could only hope her parents didn’t mind. ”Just a second!” she yelled out to her dad who, as usual, was rushing her. You think he’d learn after raising five girls he’d know not to rush them. Reah skipped to the bathroom to fix her hair as she ran the brush through it a few times just like her momma did. You always have to look your best, wasn’t that something she was told once. Hey she was a kid, they could get over it.
Humming quietly to herself she made her way into the kitchen, kissing her father lightly on the cheek. ”Ready daddy,” she said in her quiet singsong and completely innocent voice, ”What do you want to do today? She moved quickly to the fridge as she pulled the door open with a hard tug and grabbed the bottle of juice that she could always be found drinking. Setting the juice down on the counter Reah reached for a glass out of the dish drainer. Just as she had it in her grasp it slipped, tumbling down to the kitchen floor. On instinct she used her powers to stop the glass and it did work for a few seconds. When her hand was within reach of catching it she got a sharp pain in her temple, her hand reaching up to press the area and make it go away when the glass smashes in midair, as if there was a pressure on it that finally exploded. Reah cried out as she shot back, away from the broken glass not wanting it to cut her. Pressed up against the counter she rubbed her temple again softly as she stared at where the glass was, confused by what had just happened. She hadn’t done anything to the glass other than hold it in place, why would it shatter like it did? Her mind was reeling over the events, ”I-I’m sorry daddy!” she pleaded as she looked wildly over at him. [/blockquote]

Damon was one that always tried to rush the girls. He wondered if it ever would work. None of them it had so far, and Kayla was the worst of them all… He swore that it just made her procrastinate more… Especially when Karlie was taking her out… He had yelled up at Reah to see what had been taking her only to get a ‘just a second’ Damon hated how long it took the girls to get ready, but that should have been expected with all the others he had raised.. So he had made his way to the kitchen and did random things while he waited for their youngest. He did love his coffee after all so at least he had that as he waited.
Finally after it seemed like forever and a day Reah made her way down stairs. He had been sat there sipping his coffee and reading the paper. There always seemed to be bad news in the papers he really didn’t know why he bothered reading them … “ What was taking you so long little missy?” he said peeking out from behind his paper. She had went to the fridge to get some juice.. She asked him what he wanted to do today.. “ Hmmmmm maybe we can get some ice cream? How’s that sound.. Take a stroll around town and see if anything has changed while we were gone?” Damon commented looking over the paper and watching what she is doing….
“ I was thinking if we went to lunch maybe we can call your sisters and see if they want to join us if they are about… I don’t know if Kayla is back in New York or not.” He didn’t know where that girl would be she is always on the go. Tameryn is probably busy with the kids so she probably wouldn’t have been able to come, but he could text them if Reah does like that plan… She was getting some juice and the glass had slipped but he missed what was going on reading some story.. She had caught it and then a few moments later he head the glass shatter and put the paper down to see what happened.
Reah was leaned against the counter rubbing her temples making Damon arch a brow. “ What happened Reah? Are you all right?” He asked concerned more for his daughter then the glass. She had apologized to him so she must have thought he’d go off on her.. “You didn’t get cut did you?” He asked trying to eye her over to make sure no shards got on her. He was curious as to what had happened especially with her rubbing her temples.

As she entered the kitchen Reah could already tell that he was irritated that it took her so long to come down. Oh well, she thought, she was his little baby he would get over it. Oh boy, she must be hanging out with Kayla far too much if she was thinking like that. She made a mental note that she needed to hang out with Tammy or Nerd soon, then maybe it would balance it all out some more. ”I was getting dressed, I can’t very well be going out in pajamas daddy,” she giggled as she turned to look at him with her bright chocolate brown eyes. She was getting her juice as she listened to him, her face bright and happy with the idea of seeing what their little town had gotten to be since they went to visit grandma. ”That would be great! Will we get it at that little shop we always used to go to?” she continued moving on with getting her drink as she just listened to him. Reah brushed a loose string off her dress as she turned to stare at him, a small smile creeping up on her face. ”Do you think they’d actually show up?” she questioned him while she pondered this. She really did miss her sisters, heck all of her siblings were hardly ever around. The older ones besides Kay she hardly remembered. Most of them were off doing their own things and might show up for some of the holidays but that doesn’t really count as family bonding. Truthfully Reah always felt out of place with her older siblings, she was so much younger then them that she hardly had much in common with them minus the DNA. Hopefully that would change eventually, she really did miss having her whole family together. While they were many it always felt wrong and out of place when just one was missing. ”Yeah if they want to come that will be fun! I can catch them up on all the cool things we saw at Grandma’s!” she chirped happily while finishing up her juice. That’s when it happened, one second the glass was floating in midair like she always would do but then that sharp pain started. Why was it doing that all of a sudden? Reah was scared, she’ll admit that to anyone. The pain in her temple wasn’t the worse part but it was the fear that she caused that glass to explode. It wasn’t normal, she knew that and she sure as hell knew that her father knew that as well. ”I-I…it slipped and I caught it but then…” she hissed as she finally put both her hands up to rub her temples. That shooting pain was going straight from the sides into her eyes, like a headache times one hundred. What was with that pain? Why did it have to happen around daddy? She was doing good about it, since Kay found out about it and the nosebleeds they were doing their best to keep it under control but it did it so quick this time. On such a little thing too. Ever so slowly the pain started to diminish as she gently opened her eyes and looked down at herself. ”No daddy, I don’t think I did…” she muttered quietly as she inspected her bare arms and face. When her hand reached her nose though she knew what she would find as the nosebleed started just like it had been. Quickly she put her hand to it, trying to wipe it away before he could see it. Silly little girl thinking she could hide something like that from her daddy who was kneeling not a foot away. Hissing slightly she gets up, trying not to let him see as she tried not to get cut on the glass but not letting him see her nose. ”I’m fine…” she said as she moved away, knowing this was stupid he was going to follow but Reah didn’t want to freak him out more. Damon seriously wasn't very patient one would think after all the girls that he'd be used to the wait. She had told him that she couldn't go out in her jammies. " And why not dumpling?" He asked wanting to see what she'd say about that! The other girls always were ones that always had to keep up their appearance, but even with no make up and in sweats they still were gorgeous girls like their momma. They got that from her. She was one that liked to keep up he appearance to, but she'd look amazing even dressed in a rubbish bag.
Damon told her that they could get some ice cream today and see the town and see how much it has changed since they were gone and if she wanted they could try to contact the siblings and see if any of them want to stop in. " If you want to got to that one we can go there." He said with a grin as she continued to get her drink. " I don't know they might they haven't seen you in a while so it would be good for us all to catch up and get to see one another if they can't we should def plan some sort of dinner party or something a family reunion of sorts." He knew she would like that.
"I am sure they'd love to hear all about grandma's." the family had always been close, but with everyone off on their own agenda's they didn't see each other as much anymore. With a reunion maybe they could. He'd have to get with his wife on that one. She was more of a party planner then he ever was. As he was sat there reading his paper all of the sudden there had been a crash and a shatter and the glass was broken into shards all over the floor and it happens kids break things, but she did this with her powers.
He was worried about her and not the glass it can be replaced, but if something was wrong with her she can't be replaced and he wanted to make sure she was okay and a was asking her all these things like any worried and concerned parent would do. " You're sure you didn't get cut." He asked inspecting her bloody nose and getting something to put on it. She told him that she was okay. " How long has this been going on Reah?" He asked curious. " Does your mother know?" She would have told him right? That's right he had seen the blood he wasn't blind. She had been trying to wipe it away, but he seen it. " Why wouldn't you tell me about that Reah? " He asked especially if it has happened more then once. He wated to see if this was her first time or not.
