Ariel never reemerged, not that Vincent had really expected her too.
He sat silently, sipping at his coffee and dwelling on all that had happened to him recently. It seemed that everything, from the demon attack, to all the meetings and conversations with hunters and their allies, to this very trip of his had all led him to this one point. And, he had to admit, that this single moment of his life, this one short conversation with Ariel, had done much to bolster his faith, and to make him realize that maybe his cause wasn't really so hopeless after all.
Smiling, he set the now-empty mug down on the table, dropping a couple of bucks as well as a tip for the waitress. Whistling softly to himself, the priest stood up and strolled casually out of the small diner, feeling at peace for the first time in a long, long time.
Alright, he thought to himself. On to the next...
((Finished.))
