Kayla was of course being Kayla and was trying to yank his chain a little and she was told he wasn’t in the mood for her shit baring his teeth at her frustrated. “You are never in the mood for me, Ben. What else is new?” She said rolling her eyes at him. “And you know I am not scared of you so don’t be making threats you won’t go with, Winchester. I know you wouldn’t smash up your baby just to get out of the drive way so take a flipping chill pill before I rip your boxers up over your head.” She spat at him. Seriously, what the fuck was his deal and where was the bloody fire. Seriously.
He had mentioned something being up with Ryder and having to leave and she just glared at him. “Yeah, like I believe that Benjamin. Ryder’s car is right over there. What the fuck is up with him? He is here! Did you lose a bet? What is up with Ryder? ” She thought it was a lie and he was just making an excuse to bail out on x-mas knowing she was coming. Kayla eyed him. “Tell me what is going on Benjamin? Don’t make me kick it out of you. I want to know Damn it! I am not moving my car till you tell me.” She was being demanding on the fact she wanted to know. She as was kind of expecting him to smack her or something being all demanded. They both really set each other buttons off.
She wasn’t here and no one called her saying there was an emergency at the James Estate if she had she would have been here quicker. Why did things on holidays always implode…? Seriously, it was as if things were out to get them every year. Could they have one peaceful holiday? Demons or something were always out to get them maybe they are like death it never takes a holiday and drama seems to never take a holiday with the people around her it is always something. Do they ever wonder why she doesn’t want to come home at times? Seriously. She was going to scream at him if he doesn’t tell her what is going on. She wanted to know what disaster she was about to walk into.
Hell did he and Ryder get into a fight and have a falling out? Where the hell was he off to? If bad shit was going down Ben should be here and not off somewhere else doing god knows what. If he is going to do something stupid fat chance, she is going to let him do it. She could sense how mad he was she could feel the anger radiating off him, but she wasn’t backing down not with out a fight and if he wanted to throw down with her so be it she will kick his ass if she has to.

God DAMN, but he didn’t have time for this! Of all the night he could have met up with Makayla and her cutting sarcasm, it had to be this night. Gritting his teeth against the need to scream, the Hunter just shook his head and stalked to the trunk of his car. He shoved the key into the corresponding lock with enough force to scratch the delicate paint around it; a sure sign of his agitation. He’d worry about the dings and nicks later, he thought with another irritated growl. He had more important things to take care of.
Yanking a duffel bag out of the trunk, he quickly started to stuff various things in, movements jerky with the depth of emotion he was feeling. Only absently did he hear what Kay was saying, and it took him a few minutes to comprehend. When he did, he had to close his eyes and take a deep, calming breath. Knowing his childhood enemy, if he ignored her, she wouldn’t leave his ass alone. The sounds of voices from the house warned him that people were getting ready to come out, and he cursed. He couldn’t afford for one of them to stroll in and stop him from completing his newest mission, so he had to act quickly.
”Oh, you know; just the usual Winchester shit,” He said, voice rough with emotion. ”Ryder blamed me for his fiance’s death for years, but we managed to reconcile. After shit went down with Chey, we had a talk, traded some hits, and now he’s talking to me. Everything was okay,” He shoved ammo and a few pistols into his duffel, along with his grandfather’s journal, passed down to him like the Impala. ”That is, everything WAS okay. Turns out that Ryder managed to get shit ass drunk and sell his soul in exchange for Cristine’s life. And the kicker? He doesn’t know how much fucking time he has.”
Shoving his arm through the strap of his back, Ben straightened and slammed the trunk shut. If Kay wasn’t going to move her car, he was going to hoof it. He didn’t have time to play gossip girl with the woman; he had a fucking demon to find and kill. A voice in the back of his head warned him, told him that it would be a long shot; that Ryder would probably be in Hell before he could find out which demon owned his soul…but he had to do SOMETHING.
He just wasn’t built to sit inside and cry about his brother’s stupid mistake. He had to act, he had to fix things. He couldn’t lose his little brother…not again.
Stomping through the snow, he shoved passed her. ”Go inside, Kay; you can get the rest of the story later. I got somewhere I gotta be. Tell Dad to watch the Impala.”

Kayla really didn’t intend on moving her car really, she wanted to see if he would actually smash up his baby to get out of there. She was being right demanding wanting to know what was going on and where the fire was. It had to do with Ryder that was all she knew. Who knows maybe there was something she coulda done to help. She watched him ruffle threw the trunk shoving things into a duffle bag. A brow rose at him. What was he doing now? She had this feeling he was trying to ignore her drown her out or something and she just glared daggers into the back of his head as she waited for an explanation. She half expected him to snap at her telling her it none of her business or something sarcastic, but he finally told her it was the normal Winchester shit and how he had been blamed for Cris’ death. Why had he been blamed? She didn’t know that entire story, but listened, slowly moving closer.
He explained how things had been good between him and Ryder after the Chey stuff, and now Ryder had made a deal for Cris’ life and the kicker was that he didn’t know how much time he had left. She didn’t know how he could get that shit faced that he could forget something like that. She shook her head at that and was a little shocked at that. So Cris must be here causing some shit eh? She could only imagine how Simi is feeling and how upset she is, and she should go in and see how her family is handling thing. Kayla swears their family is marked for drama to drop on their door steps. She winched as Ben slammed the trunk to the impala. He had pushed past her, she was sort of taken a back by that and couldn’t believe he did that and then was telling her to go inside and telling her to tell his father to watch the impala.
She could hear the commotion in the house and someone was bound to come out anytime now and she knew that and she didn’t care if they heard her bickering with Ben. “ NO!” She told him sternly. “ I am not going inside, Ben! I am not telling your father to look after the impala either. Some place to be? What the hell Ben. You are not going anywhere!” she had said and started to march off after him. “ I know you Winchester you are going to go do something stupid and I am not having it!” She told him. She really wasn’t. What was he going to do? Hurt his family more and sell his soul. Hell no. She knew most demons lie, and she wasn’t going to let him make that same stupid mistake! She wasn’t going to let the demons get both of their souls or take Ben’s and not give Ryder back his. The deal was made they are going to have to find some other way out of the deal. They are not getting his as well. Jess needs both her uncle’s and she wasn’t going to let this clown give up his. “ Don’t be stupid, Ben!” She told him.
She let him walk a little way and she continued to follow him. “ I am not letting you run off and sell your soul too. What is it with you Winchesters doing stupid shit!“ Kayla would beat his ass and break his legs if she had to just to keep him from making a mistake. They had one Winchester to save they didn’t need this one to do the same and need saving. She tackled him into the snow banking . “ Don’t make me hurt you, Benjamin. You know I will. You will thank me for this one day!” Everyone really has been threw a lot and she knew if he comes back saying he sold his soul it would break Chey’s heart and she couldn’t have that. She just couldn’t. He may think he is doing the right thing trying to trade, but it is the foolish way about things. Ben is all fired up on revenge so she knows that is what he is thinking of doing. Hell let the others come out here and pull her off of him for all she cares if he tries to go, she will kick all their asses to stop him from trading his life away. She didn't even know what was going on inside the house. There wasn't any crashing and bangs and windows being blown out.
-hope this works-

Damn it, why was she always the one to show up when he was the most volatile? He couldn’t have seen Simi’s crying face, or the authorative glare of his father; no, it had to be KAYLA. Kayla, his childhood enemy, teenage frenemy and adulthood verbal sparring partner. It had to be her that showed up! She made him so damn angry, especially when she looked at him with that irritated glare, as if all of this were his fault. How could it be his fault? He’d saved his brother, dammit! What should he have done; let Ryder die alongside his fiancé? He’d tried to get to Cristine; tried to make everything okay…but he’d failed. He understood it and did his best to live with the fact every damn day. Wasn’t that enough?
Gritting his teeth against the urge to start yelling, Ben raked a hand through his hair until it stood up wildly. He was so damn angry, and hearing that no-nonsense voice didn’t make the urge to strangle something any better. What was it about her that made him so…so…damn it, he couldn’t even think of a word! Tense? Irritable? Ready to buy stock in duct tape?
His knuckles were white as his hand gripped the strap of his duffel back. He didn’t turn around when she spoke, instead tilting his head so he could pitch his voice over the groaning trees around them. ”I’m gonna do what I have to for my brother, Kayla. He can’t go through what my dad did…he shouldn’t have to. I’m gonna try to fix this in any way that I can.”
With that, he turned back toward the road and started walking. His friend could rant and rave at him all she wanted to, but he wouldn’t listen and she wouldn’t be stupid enough to try to make good on those threats. Makayla Rhys-Damara was a tough chick, but she’d never try to go at him in the mood he was in.
…At least, that’s what he THOUGHT. A grunt escaped him as a lithe body tackled him from behind, sending him sprawling face first into the snow. For a moment there, he could only inhale ice in shock, until he surged up underneath her with a roar.
”What the FUCK is wrong with you?! Get off me! What I’m gonna do is beat the shit outta you! Leave me the hell alone, Kay; this’ none of your goddamn business! Go into the fucking house and stop this!”
He ground his teeth again as he stood and brushed the snow off his pants and shirt, mumbling to himself all the way. ”Fucking crazy…none of your business…do what I gotta do…”
((Bah, I hope THIS works. XD ))

((Okay Jay Let me know if this works for you or if you want me to edit it up anymore in anyway. I did the whole roll him in the snow thing trying to make him say he wouldn’t go cuz it did seem so Kayla. I hope you like it isn’t too suckish. I always worry it will be .. I am a worrywart.))
Kayla surely would not listen to him yapping at her to go in the house. Was he nuts? She wasn’t going to let these demons con the souls out of both Winchesters. He said he was going to do what he has to do to save his brother. What was it with these Winchester men being such shit brains? Seriously did Ben really thing they wouldn’t just defy both of them and take them both. “ Your Being a fool Benjamin Issac Winchester.” she had called after him using his full name. Just to peeve him off more. What the heck? She got that he wanted to save his brother, but he is being a fool about this and not thing. Sure, she would probably do the same and would love someone to try to stop her from making irrational decisions. Kayla would do anything for her family. Mess with them and she will kick your arse to the moon if she had to.
Ben kept walking off. She couldn’t let him make a deal and the family and friends having two Winchesters to bury it wasn’t right. There had to be another way there had to be right? Jessica can’t grow up without both uncles and she knew their dear mother and sister wouldn’t be able to deal with that. It would break their hearts and she knew it and she had to at least try to stop him right? She could then at least say she tried. She knew he was fuming, but she still was going to try. Kayla had tackled him into the snow with a proof sending him face first into that snow banking. He had surged up from underneath her, and started getting mouthy with her. Kayla just rolled her eyes at him and listened to him rant mocking him.
“ You want to hit me. Here I am give it your best shot, big boy you damn will know I have no issues kicking your ass. Don’t tell me to go inside. I am not going and I made that damn well clear! “ She spat. She herself was getting heated that he even thought she would back down and head inside when he is being dumb. She gets why he wants to go, but seriously what was he going to accomplish being heated and a big dumbass? It will get him dead! Kayla slapped him. “how dare you say this is none of my business., Ben!” She growled at him. “ You all are like family to me and you expect me to go in the house when you are about to be insane and do something completely moronic! Talk about what happened to your uncle and daddy, what is it with you Winchesters and being thick head!”
Would he actually be bold enough to hit her? Hell he damn well knows she will hit him back and she will fight dirty . It is Makayla Rhys -Damara here she don’t back down. She pushed him over into the snow once again kicking his legs out from under him and shoving his face into the snow. “ Tell me you won’t go, Ben and I will let you up. Don’t make me steal your pants and make you walk naked you know I will. I am sure the ladies out their would love the show and frozen man hood on display.” She seriously would if she had to. “ I get you wanting to save your brother, but listen to me BEN! STRIKING A DEAL FOR YOURSELF IS NOT THE ANSWER!” Kayla yelled. Hell she would go at him all night if she had to till he gave in. “ You can keep on telling me it is none of my business. I am looking out for you and the rest of our families. Think of your mother, think of your sister and little Jess, Ben. You have to be smart about this!” She didn’t know what she could do to get threw to him. She didn’t want him to do it.
Would the rest let him do it if they knew he was a man on a mission. What would his brother say? She is doing her best to try to make him see their has to be another option, but this Winchester was really thickheaded.

One minute, Ben was stomping quite irritably through the snow, triumphant in the fact that he’d faced a mouthy Kay and lived to tell the tale. But in the next, he found himself grabbed, screamed at, smacked and force face first into the snow. It was JUST how he’d wanted to make his exit; playing the little kicked puppy. Huzzah and Merry Christmas! For a minute after Kay slapped him, he could only look at her in shock. Out of all the times they’d yelled at one another, traded glares and shot insults, this was the first that she’d ever been truly physical. For all of her haughty nature, he’d never thought that she’d had it in her to actually hit one of her family…and, for that matter, that she’d care so much about him. Hadn’t they practically hated each other since the moment they’d met? With all the fighting, the insulting and the ego-bruising, he’d always had the feeling that he was her least favorite person on the planet. So why did she care if he tried to save his brother by sacrificing himself? Why did she care? He was about to shoot back a reply; ask her when he’d become family and managed to crawl out of the ‘dumbass category,’ but he never got the chance. Quick as all hell, she was kicking his legs out from under him and forcing him into the snow. Dammit, that was the SECOND time she’d managed to do this! WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG IN THE WORLD? He struggled against her hold, gagging on a mouthful of dirty snow, before rearing up beneath her. With a move that was almost practiced, he managed to throw his weight to the side, catching her off balance, and force her onto her back in the snow. Once she was down, he threw a leg over her, pinning her legs, and snagged her wrists before she could land another hit. Fuck, but he’d never noticed how damn feisty she was. She was quick to cut him with her words, sure, but all of this physical violence…it was so unlike Kay, that he couldn’t help the surprised look that came onto her face. He’d known that she was tough as nails, but…damn. To take on a seasoned hunter who was obviously emotionally crazy wasn’t exactly the smartest thing in the world. Then again, given who her father and uncles were… ”Who the hell said I’m gonna strike a deal with anyone?!” He snarled in return, leaning over her so that he could glare right into her eyes. He was breathing heavily now, too pissed off to care about the fact that his pants were soaked and he was up close and personal with his frenemy. ”I just need to find out who owns Ryder’s soul, Kay. What the hell should I do? Go cry in the corner ‘cause he’s going to Hell? I have to do something, Goddammit! I can’t just SIT there and hope that things will work out. If I can find the demon who made the deal, I could track down the shit who owns his soul and see if I could kill it. But…hell, you’re right; if the price is my own soul, I’ll trade it willingly. He’s my brother, Makayla. What else should I do?”At that point, his voice cracked and he clenched his teeth. Damn her. Damn her for not leaving him alone and letting him do what needed to be done!

Kayla had this feeling in her gut that was what Ben was going to do. Go make a deal to save Ryder and that would just turn into an even bloodier mess and she really couldn’t let that happen. She just couldn’t. Kayla was one to call you out when you are being dumb. She couldn’t stand to see the family suffer more. She knew the ones inside had to be suffering and not knowing what to do. She couldn’t let more being thrown onto that roaring fire so she did what she had to do. What a Christmas this was beginning to be. Why were holidays never peaceful in this family? What did they do to deserve this kind of crap? Shit hit the fan and it wasn’t about to get worse… Ben seemed to be a little shocked that she actually slapped him. It is as much of her business as it is his! It maybe his brother, but her cousin is involved in this debacle so she has all the right in this matter and wasn’t going to let him be a fool. No way in hell… hell would ice over before she lets any more of the Winchester’s piss their souls away as if it was yesterday’s trash. She really hoped Simi was okay. She hoped the rest of the family was okay too and they are all in good hands with the family around.
She had tossed his ass in the snow again telling him not to go and how she isn’t going to let him do it. She just wasn’t she would beat his ass to a bloody pulp, steal his pants, break his legs. Do whatever she could from making him do the same thing that Ryder had done… She maybe not be all up in the hunting game, but hell she is smart enough to know most demons lie and will trick you any way they could with the fine print of the contract. They would find a way to get Ryder out of his deal without anyone having to give up their souls. The hunting world needs the Winchesters in it. She had been shoving his ass in the snow and before she knew it, he had her pinned in the snow. What… Now the table had been turned, and she was struggling against him… Trying to get out from under him. If it were anyone else she might have found it kinky, but this this brought up bad emotional memories for her as she continued to struggle against his hold. He snarled at her saying who said he was going to sell his soul. She felt a lump in her throat and froze for a moment trying to regain her composure and to stop thinking about the horrific events in her life as she let his voice pierce threw her thoughts of the past…
It took her a moment this was Ben Winchester, he wouldn’t do that would he? No, way! Her heart was thumping so load in her chest that if he wasn‘t so pissed off he would probably feel it that is how close they were. Would he notice how she froze and tensed up for a few minutes there? “ I… I… know you, Winchester… “ She had stuttered before regaining her composure him glaring at her, she breathed heavily but, didn’t stop her from struggling against him. He is a male and stronger then she is… He made sure to get her arms and feet. Damn him. He asked her what the hell he is supposed to do sit in the corner and cry and all that take he had been rambling off and it was awkward how close and personal they were. “Get off me you big oaf. You weigh a ton.” she said as she continued to struggle. “No you’re not supposed to cry in the corner, but you should stay away from the crossroads, Winchester. You Winchester’s make rash decisions when you are all in grr mode. I want you to think about what you are doing, Benjamin…“ yeah she knows he hates that, but hell, she does it to tick him off by calling him Benjamin…
He was all willing now to trade his soul willingly to save his brother asking her what else he should do. “No, you’re not pissin’ that way I won’t let you.” she told him firmly. “You want to find what did it fine, but soul trading is a no go. You are not throwin’ another log on the fire that is already blazing. I am not going to let you both go down in the pits. It’s so not happening. You have to think, Ben. I know you have a brain in there somewhere buried behind that inflated ego of yours. You can’t do that to your mother and sister you just can’t trade away your soul. It is not right. There has to be other ways. I am not going to let you be a stupid anus.” she really couldn’t let him do that. She had to try her best the only way he is going to get away from her is knocking her out. Would he do that? He threatened to beat her, but would he really? She is thinking it was a bluff. She stopped struggling against him.
Thinking maybe it would make him a little off guard his voice had cracked he last spoke so she knew he was all-emotional. She noticed that, but she wanted him off her. What could she do? He has her hands and feet and her heart was racing, but was it because she was still panicked or something else. She would chalk it up to still being panicked.. Ben Winchester wouldn’t really hurt her. If he had he would be stupid because the others would go after him. She could feel her clothing now being saturated with the snow melting beneath her. Would this Winchester stop being pig headed and just listen to what she had to say already?
((hehe, I was so gonna have her either lick him to get him off her or bite him in the nose, but figured I shouldn’t because he was all emotional and stuff.. I figured he is heavier then her so he had more of an advantage struggle wise. Her hands and legs are down so nommin at woulda been the only option besides her verbal wit. ))

GOD DAMMIT! It was just his luck to have the most stubborn, annoying woman on the planet to catch him at his emotional peak! He was wasting time trying to defend his actions to her! Why was he even doing that, anyway, dammit? Kay could whine, scream, insult and make him face plant in the snow all she wanted; he HAD to do something to help his brother!
A sharp jab at his elbow made him grunt and glare down at her. For a second, he saw something in her face that not even her words could hide. Was Kay…scared? His brows furrowed as his mind took an aside from the crazy thoughts running through his mind. It wasn’t like he was slobbering all over her, but given the way she was struggling against him…no, she couldn’t be afraid of him. She knew that he’d never hurt her; she was just trying to throw him off, so she could get rid of the ‘cooties.’ That was their way, ever since they were kids.
”Kay, I’m fucking going, whether you like it or not. I don’t need your permission!” He snarled down at her. His hands tightened around her wrists for a moment, before he caught himself. And with another low growl, he finally pushed himself off of her and lumbered to his feet.
For a minute, he just looked down at her, rage and confusion ripe on his face. He just didn’t understand why the hell she cared so much…and why she didn’t trust his better judgement. Didn’t she know that selling his own soul would be a last resort, given that he knew someone else in his screwed up family would take the same route as his? He’d try to find the demon who owned Ryder’s contract and take them out; it was the only real way to ensure that his brother would stay on earth.
But this woman…this GODDAMN woman just didn’t trust him to do that! Well, there was only one way to do this; kill two birds with one stone.
Leaning down- and praying that Kay wasn’t about to get petty and kick him in the balls for his trouble- he caught hold of her wrist and yanked her up. She fell against his front, and he couldn’t help but think how good she smelled…but the thought quickly faded as he glared down into her angry face.
”This’ how it’s gonna go, Kay,” He growled down at her. ”You don’t trust me to not sell my soul? Fine. You’re coming with me to the damn crossroads, because I’m going to find out who owns Ryder’s contract. So we both win; you make sure I don’t pull a Dad, and I get you off my damn back. Let’s go, Makayla. MUSH.”
With another snarl, he yanked her toward her car, snatching up his duffel on the way.

Kayla had been in panic mode for a while there, but she calmed down. Had he seen it that glint of fear and panic on her face. Kayla was the one that tried not to fear anything except maybe her daddy, but this brought up a round of bad memories. She didn’t want Ben to pull something stupid so she had to try to stop him she just couldn’t let him give up himself when there had to be another way besides everyone selling their souls. It didn’t solve anything. She yelled and screamed at him until she couldn’t and he was the one telling her how it was. She glared at him. He had pulled her up by her wrist and she had fallen against him. They seriously hurt a lil from where he had gripped them and squeezed them but she wasn’t going to moan about that. “Damn you, Winchester. My knickers are all wet.” She told him with a huff. It wasn’t something he needed to know really, but they were… In addition, not in a sexual way either. One thing for sure was he smelled good, and that was something that shocked Makayla, but shook her head from them thoughts as they wandered back to her wet clothing and him barking at her and to move it. Her clothes were soaked just like his had to be. He was telling her to mush and grabbing her arm pulling her towards the car and her lips twisted into a snarl “Must you?“ she had stated as he was dragging her off towards her car. Part of her wanted to be an arse and kick him into the snow banking again for dragging her. Yeah it would have been funny, but he was in no mood and she knew it… They had to get to a crossroads to find out who has his brother soul. She would make damn sure he didn’t do anything stupid. She had pulled her keys out of her jacket pocked and unlocked the door. “I suppose you want to drive,” She said dangling the keys in front of his face. If she drove she would drive him all over creation just where they couldn’t find a crossroads or something and be a wise ass, but he might freak at her so she was playing nice. Right now Kayla was driving and decked out cherry red sleek little peace of muscle. A supercharged Shelby Cobra. Its like her it’s got bite, and her daddy did love them. She was shocked he wasn’t making a fuss about her moving it again and taking the Impala she was waiting for it as she dangled the keys… Waiting for him to take them, once he did she slipped into the passenger side of her car. It was odd being on this side of the car. “ You be nice to her or I will bite you Winchester.” she told him and then they were off on the mission. It has been a while since they have been in a car together she really can’t remember the last time they were. She thought about slipping into the back and changing her clothes seeing as they were all wet, but she didn’t know if she could trust Ben to keep his eyes to himself so she didn’t bother changing just yet, and turned up the heat hoping that it would take some of the wet moisture out of her clothes. ((we can start the next one now, i think )) -FINISHED-
