Indeed she was right in guessing that both his parents and the rest of the family currently descending on the ranch all her a rather furry alter ego, and right then the two of them were having fun letting people in, Pattrick Pettelli holding Dionne Pettelli tight against his side, and letting the family know in hushed whispers that Curran did indeed have his girlfriend here, and given the giggling and chasing that was currently going on, she knew about them. For those who cared it was a relief – for the younger cousins about to take over the bedrooms and entire house – well. It was probably a good thing Elle knew, less she soon find herself surrounded by cubs.
Upstairs, Curran butted the back of her legs for his head and shifted back, becoming the grinning young man with tousled hair and azure eyes that she knew so well in a matter of seconds. Curran stretched out his arms above his head, cracking his shoulders – after transforming his bones always felt a bit strange, his muscles tight form the two transformations, not unlike the morning after a tough workout. Smiling at her through the reflection in the window, curran reached around to grab his pants, slipping into his boxers quickly and pulling his jeans over the top in a matter of seconds.
His fingers fumbled with the buttons however when she spoke, slowing until he was no longer fastening them, but rather looking up at her. At first his smiled in her belief in magic once more, for Curran had always believed in such things. Perhaps growing in the world he had, with the knowledge he had this was always going to be – but there was magic in the everyday as well, in the daylight and the night, in the simplicity of the seasons. There was Magic even without knowing about such things as pixies.
But his face fell, his expression troubled when she spoke of werewolves – Curran did not think himself as such. He and his family were loupe garoux, a lifetime away from the werewolves that lost their mind and killed. Jeans hanging loosely from his waist, half fastened, Curran took a step forward and took Elle into his arms, pulling her against his bare chest and resting his head on her own, breathing in the smell of her, the vanilla scent of her skin. He took her in deeply, as if taking the scent to memory (which he sort of was), but also because he wanted to be there for her. He wanted her to know that he always would be, that.... that if her father had been true and a werewolf had killed her mother he would never let her get hurt again. Not for as long as he lived – and Curran has a few many years ahead of him.
“No, Elle. I could never hurt you.” He said softly into her hair, shifting his hands from around her waist to cup her face, the pads of his thumb moving softly over her cheeks. His eyes looking straight into her, her eyes that were so fathomless, eyes he could lose himself in for all eternity if he was not careful. There were not words to describe her eyes, were not words that could do them the justice they deserved.
And thus, topless and grinning, with his dark dishevelled hair, Curran Aiden Pettelli gave his girlfriend her half of the deal and kissed her again in such a way he was not sure he could ever stop.
At least... until the door opened and a small body came running into the room, blonde pigtails flying behind her. “Ewww! Currans trying to eat someone!”

★ ★ ★ ★ Elle gasped when Curran caught her in his arms to embrace her, and her heart jump-started immediately; the whole sensation of sinewy muscle and balmy bare skin and powerful attraction enough to make her swoon. Within his embrace she could feel the fierce protectiveness that came from his animal side and the blonde swore that if she could stay in these arms she would never, ever be afraid again. Elle’s sapphire eyes were wide open when she nodded quietly that she believed what he said and her heart and soul were just as open; a blank diary that was waiting for Curran to etch his words in. And his kisses. And his touches…
She lifted a trembling hand up to his heaving chest, placing her palm across the muscle that encased his beating heart. Elle closed her eyes and echoed what he had done; breathing in the moment, committing it to memory… the smell of snow on him, the feel of his frame against hers, the love poem writing itself on her spirit. Curran’s tender fingers found her chin and he tilted her face up toward his. Now Elle opened her eyes; immediately loosing herself within the two hypnotic orbs of cerulean so completely that if he asked it of her, she would do just about anything right now.
Elle was drowning in his eyes when Curran brought his mouth down over hers, and she let out a quiet sigh of unreserved rapture and let her hands wind around his hips so she could draw him closer. His lips were warm and sweet even though his kiss was more feverish than she’d ever experienced. She felt a little like he was devouring her, and well, she was more than happy to be the meal. It was almost too overwhelming; the taste of him; the way his lips consumed not just her kiss but her heart. Not too mention the fact that he was definitely wearing fewer clothes than any other boy she’d kissed and the sensation of his lean hips against hers was waking up the dragonflies in her stomach.
The blonde let one hand drop to innocently hook a finger through the belt loop on his pants, but the other remained firmly curled around his hips; not only because she wanted to be as close to him as possible, but a little because her knees were quivering and threatening to give out from underneath her and she wasn’t going to let a thing like fainting end the mouthy embrace.
A soft whimper of displeasure was loosed from her lips when Curran suddenly pulled away at the sound of the little girl’s voice, and now that he wasn’t holding her firmly against him the slender blonde let her body go limp; falling backwards in a mock faint so that he would have to catch her. “And he was doing a fine job of the eating…” She said in a dreamy sigh and a grin that was just as dreamy stretched across her lips when she tilted her head to look at the young female. “But thank heavens you came in at just the right moment. What a shame it would have been to get eaten before I’d had a chance to meet the cousins…”
Elle giggled a little and let Curran pull her upright, quickly moving to stand before him so the pig-tailed pixie didn’t get a glimpse at his Christmas boxer shorts and announce that to the group downstairs. One arm was absently folded behind her back, a finger artlessly playing with his belt loop again as she reached her other hand out to shake the child’s hand. “I’m Elle…and I guess you are one of the cousins.” She smiled; shaking the girl’s hand with too much gusto on purpose to draw a little laugh out of her. “Curran is absent his manners today I think…must be because he’s so hungry.” Elle continued the joke with the girl, lowering her voice to a whisper. “Will you get me out of here before he gnaws on me some more? Maybe introduce me to the other cousins? If you do I think there may be some pie in the future for my little hero…”
Elle chuckled and turned back to Curran. She stole a quick kiss from the side of his mouth and let her eyes drop to his unfastened pants before lifting them with an impish look expression. “You think she noticed? I hope she doesn’t say anything before I’ve met your father properly. Oh dear, what will your mother think?”
But the question became a giggle when the impatient little cousin grabbed her hand to tug her away and Elle winked at Curran as she was led towards the sound of merriment below.

Elle was driving this poor guy crazy as he caught her, grinning over at his little cousin, Lila and offering the little girl sly wink. Now she had her sights on Elle... well Curran would be lucky to have her for himself at all for the rest of the night at least. Lila hated him, but her sister, Amy, though Curran was something of a... well he didn’t know. But she refused to leave him alone – last Christmas had been all about the piggy back rides and stealing cookies – he wondered what she had up her sleeve this year. His thoughts were quickly distracted however as he set Elle back on her feet, realising then that his jean button was still undone – though unfortunately the boy was not as ashamed or embarrassed as he probably should be, especially with Elle now in front of him, hanging on by his belt loops. He could barely speak, swallowing as Lila grinned.
Lila scrunched up her nose and stuck out her tongue at Curran, though she smiled sweetly when the pretty blonde girl, Elle, smiled at her. She smelt good too, like pie and vanilla – she didn’t like stinky people. ”I’m lila!” She grinned, hanging off Elle’s hand. ”Curran shouldn’t be trying to eat you! He’s posed to be vegatabilarian! I’ll tell Aunt Dionne!”She giggled, pulling On Elles hand when she turned around briefly to say something to her cousin. Again, Lila took the opportunity to pull a face at him. ”Yes! Paul and Amy and and Dylan and and Shawnie are downstairs!” With that, Lila pulled her downstairs, past the boring grown up’s who had all gone into the living room and instead towards the kitchen where the cousins were sat.
”This is Shawn and Dylan and and Paul and Amy. Amy’s my sister!”She little girl pointed to each of the cousins in turn. Shawnie was the oldest, a cute looking girl at the far end of her teens with logan brown hair – a trait of the pettelli family it seemed, along with the blue eyes. ”Elle right? It’s nice to meet you”. Dylan was 15 and lithe looking, with the kind of impish features that told you he was always up to no good. His dark hair fell over one of his eyes, and was ruffled not unlike currans with the artfully a sculpted just got out of bed look. The truth was however, Dylan had not been up all that long. He looked up long enough to smile before turning back to the psp in his hands. Paul was the second Oldest at 18, and the odd one out with hair so blonde it was almost white ”He’s my brudder” Lila whispered, before letting go of Elles hand to grab Amy, her twin. Fearfully shy, she was hiding behind Paul’s leg, and waved a little.
Currna chose that moment to walk in then, grinning, and tickled Ella’s side. “Well if it is;t the hair bare bunch...”Curran grinned, ducking as a cookie sailed over his head.

★ ★ ★ ★ Elle’s sparkling laughter echoed through the huge house as the young wolf tugged her down the stairs, past the grown-ups (thank heavens) and into the kitchen were the rest of her siblings were gathered. The curly haired blonde felt a little like she had floated the whole way; a lingering reaction to Curran and the kiss, but also because the little girl was much stronger and quicker than Elle imagined and it was quite possible that her feet actually did leave the ground for a few moments during the spree.
Even downstairs in the kitchen she couldn’t wipe the goofy grin off her face no matter how hard she tried, and clung to Lila’s hand as she was introduced to the cousins, lifting her free palm sheepishly in a little wave at each one of them save Amy, who was hiding behind her brother. For Amy, Elle softened her smile as much as she could and just wiggled her fingers a bit in case the floppy wave should scare the little Loup Garoux more. When Lila let go to tug her twin sister out from behind Paul, Elle absently grabbed a gingerbread man and nibbled on the arm as she drifted over to an empty part of the counter which she hopped up on to perch.
The cookie was stuck in her mouth when Curran walked in and she couldn’t help but smile around it, ducking her head shyly because she was sure her cheeks were as bright red as the icing buttons on the little cookie man. One of the younger cousins, who thought his welcome should be a flying baked good, chucked a cookie at her boyfriend, and that made Elle burst into a fit of giggles. He ducked it easily, of course. Being a wolf and all probably rewarded him with all kinds of neat tricks besides the obvious ability to shift between forms; like super agility, and excellent hearing and probably smell too. The willowy blonde demurely ducked her head lower and sniffed to make sure her nervous panic hadn’t made her extra clammy. No, she wasn’t stinky at all, (thank heavens once more) just plain old pie and vanilla and maybe a little bit of her fruity shampoo.
Swinging her legs just a touch in nervous excitement, Elle finished nibbling off the gingerbread man’s arm as she looked over each one of the cousins, and then Curran, musing over his name for them; the hair bare bunch. She could picture the bunch of them running around in wolf form, wild and free and it only added to this whole fairytale night but made the girl feel so unfortunate to be normal. She would very much like to run around wild and free and naked….okay, maybe not naked but definitely covered in luxurious fur. The fleeting thought crossed her mind. What would happen if Curran were to bite her? Would she turn into a magical creature too or would it just make her belly shiver like it did when he was sitting near her and his breath crossed her neck.
“So…tell me you lot like to get into trouble while the grown-ups are off in grown-up land with their cocktails and boring stories…” Elle said finally, taking a nibble off the cookie’s head now, and only letting her eyes drift to Curran transiently because she didn’t want to get tongue tied now that she had called the attention to herself. “What do y’all do for fun around here besides…throw cookies?” And she grinned at the cousin who had tossed the baked good, giving a playful wink.
