(Just so you know, I had to change Lexi's husband around since Max is not playing with us any longer. Due to not wanting to infringe on his creation, I had to change her husband around a bit so his name has been Tristian in this verse!
) It felt good to talk to Athrun. There was something to be said about old friends and the trust they shared. Lexi had very few of those that would truly understand her situation and although Athrun might not completely understand... He'd been around them all long enough to catch the drift at least.
"Simi and Ryder returned home from Hawaii a few weeks ago... They are working at setting up their own household and preparing for the twins birth. God.... It seems unreal.... I'm going to be a grandma for petes sake. I'm really to young to be a grandma.... "
Reaching for her glass, Lexi finished her drink and then waved at the bartender for another. While he poured it, she ran a hand through her hair and sighed.
"Tristian is off on business. I took a few days off work so that I could clear my mind and do somethings with the kiddos.... I'm beginning to think it was a bad idea because I'll ive done is think... Brooding has never been a strong point for me."
Glancing over at Athrun, the pretty auburn haired beauty tried to smile.
"It always seems to be one thing or another doesn't it?? I thought my life had turned boring until about six months ago.... I guess we really do need to be careful with what we wish for. I just wish Bastian would come home and that we could find a way out of this demon deal for Ryder....I hate to see my kids hurting and I never wished for this life for them.... "
