Imaya managed to bite back a chuckle at her twin's very loud, very rude sigh of relief, when the little blond down the bar declined her matchmaker-offer. Jericho was such a strange little ducky, she thought with a grin, shaking her head at her brother while he rubbed at his eyes. He liked his freedom a bit too much, with the drinking and the woman...kind of like she did, but sans the loose chicks. She wanted to see her twin happy, settled down, and not so darn serious all the darn time.
Was that too much to ask? The ability to live long enough to see her family happily? Granted, Hell would probably freeze over by the time that Jericho DeVoux found a woman who could tolerate his snarky behind, but a girl could still hope.
When she heard her name, the psychic turned her attention back to Jake, another grin sliding onto her face. Hot damn, the guy had definitely filled out from the last time she saw him...but he was different at the same time. Not being a really big fan of anything changing in her life, she was half tempted to illicit that blush that he always wore around her, if only to remind herself that Jake Jordan was still the same. He wasn't scarred from war, or wary to the point of barking at everyone around him, like Jericho. All of her childhood friends should stay remarkedly the same, sans the obvious need to get old.
Yeah, so she knew that all that was a bit psychotic, but so what? A girl could dream.
”Excuse me? YaYa isn’t bothering anybody,” She interjected, stealing one of Jake’s fries with a wink. ”She’s just watching out for family. And if Blondie over there can’t hack it? Too bad for her.”
Jericho just sighed again and threw a ‘you want another daughter?’ look at Curse. If the blond lady went after his twin, he just might sit back and watch the fight, he thought with a little roll of his eyes. When the younger Jordan girl came tromping in and Jake showed such joy at seeing her, a small smile played across his lips. He hadn’t really known Tellie Jordan when they were kids, as she was younger than him, but he offered her a nod of greeting nonetheless.
Imaya, on the other hand, was a bit more enthusiastic. While Tellie and Jake hugged and spoke, the younger DeVoux twin started to wave at Tellie with a happy ‘hey, girl! You’re so freaking pretty now! If you’re old enough, we SO gotta party sometime!’
Yes, that was his sister; happy to the extreme.
