Okay so I guess I have to make this clear. Chevrolet Winchester was born to one of the most well known hunters of all time and because of this she grew up around some of the most amazing hunters of all time. Though her uncle Sam and her Gramps, Bobby, were amazing, that wasn’t all she meant. From the day a twelve year old Chey walked through the doors of the Hunters Academy, she spent all her days with the children of world renowned hunters. A lot of the people at the Academy, especially the people Chey got close to, were new to her life. That rule didn’t apply to the Blairs. Chey’s history with the Blairs actually started about 7 years before she was born. See her brother, Ben, ran away from home one day, only to be met by one Alexis James, the same Lexi James who married Max Blair and had 2 children, Sebastian and Simone. Lexi helped Ben back to his mother but Ben and his Mom Lisa remained quite close to the Blairs. So once Ryder and Chey were born, they practically grew up with Sebastian and Simone. Going to the Hunters Academy only made it certain that Chey would see Simi and Bastian a lot more often and she certainly didn’t mind that.
Now? Now school was over. Now Chey was a whole twenty one years old and all the amazing times they’d had at the hunters academy seemed like a distant and some what strained memory. Now it was just your ordinary January evening. It was bitterly cold, maybe not as cold as some places but it was cold for Austin at this time of the year. Chey had spent the afternoon working. Serving various hunters, making drinks and food and spent a lot of time playing with her boss’ beautiful kids. Kayla had spent about an hour telling Chey how their cousin Simi was coming to stay with them tomorrow. Karlie had laughed and told Chey how the silly thing managed to break down in the middle of a storm so she was stuck for the night but she was coming down the next day. Chey knew Simi stayed with Karlie a lot but she hadn’t really seen her lately, in fact she was starting to wonder if she was being avoided. By the end of it, her shift was starting to drag, it was abnormally quiet and Chey had practically cleaned every inch of the bar as well as beating her own top score on the pacman machine in the corner. Karlie had a serious pacman problem, it was hilarious.
In the end the boss lady told Chey she could knock off early and Chey practically bounced out of the store, grabbing her purse and her jacket and kissing her best girls goodbye before heading out the door. The cold hit her like a truck. It felt heavy and thick and the wind in her face made her eyes clench shut. She pulled her jacket tighter round her and started walking in the direction of her home. It was times like this she was mad at herself for actually caring about the environment and not driving to work. Oh well it was just a bit of cold. She was a big girl! SHE COULD DO THIS!! The suddenly gusts of wind every now and then were sending her long, dark espresso locks flying all over the place. She didn’t particularly care. The curls in her hair were the only thing about herself that she spent a large amount of time maintaining. She wasn’t like some girls that would spent hours getting ready, however she would occasionally spend more time than she should on her hair. Naturally it had a curl to it and it was easy enough to just leave it. But it wasn’t like she was going to be seeing anyone but her mom and dad for the rest of the evening so she didn’t care.
Well that’s what she thought. Chey had looked up as she continued to walk down the road and spotted a scarily familiar face coming towards her. The one and only, Sebastian Blair. Chey’s lips instantly turned up in a grin. “Hey stranger!!” She said, walking right up to him, suddenly praying her hair didn’t look a TOTAL mess. Then quickly after that praying she didn’t look a total mess. See the thing is, Chey has had this thing for Bastian since she was fifteen years old. Of course back then she just thought he was hot. But he was her friends brother. In the same way Chey knew Jess always had a thing for Ben but just settled for shamelessly flirting with him because he was her brother. It was practically forbidden by girl code. It wasn’t till Chey was twenty and Simi exposed her crush during a drunken game of truth and dare and well, since that point Chey had barely even seen him. Chey then did something that was very rarely seen from the miniature Weechester. She ran and Sebastian and threw her arms up and around him, pulling herself off the ground and practically tackling him.

Bastian was heading back to his car. He had been at the gym, but had to park a few blocks over. There had been a lot of break-ins lately and there was no way he was putting the Stang in the line of fire. If someone so much as put a scratch on his baby he was liable to break their neck. The Stang was his baby. It was a classic and it was in mint condition. He didn’t want to think about someone breaking the window or keying the paint. It would very possibly bring a tear to his eye. Not that Bastian would ever admit it. No, if anyone ever saw a gleaming tear in his eye it would be because something flew into it. It was irritated and watering. Bastian didn’t cry. At least no one would ever know he did. If he ever did, which at this point, he never had. Not even when his dad died. At least not in public. He’d had to be strong for his mom and his sister. Nope, no one would ever be able to say that Bastian Blair cried. He wiped some more sweat off his face with the hand towel and threw it over his shoulder. He was wearing a black t-shirt with red basketball shorts along with red and black sneakers. Yes, he was color coordinated, but come on he had to look good? The sweat gleaming off his skin accentuated his muscles. His tanned skin was smooth and he had been eyeing a cheeky little blonde that had been glancing over him for the last block or so. She’d come out of the gym as well. She had curves in all the right places, and a belly button ring. Bastian was just about to say something to her when someone called out to him. Before Bastian could look said person had tackled him, sending him several steps backwards. He knew who it was. They’d known each other all their lives. He frowned for half a second as the blonde pouted and walked away, but then wrapped his arms around the woman, lifting her feet off the ground, and spinning her around before letting her go. “Well, if it isn’t little Miss Chevrolet Winchester.” He grinned at her. “Who is now all sweaty since I just left the gym.”It had been while since Bastion had seen Chey so he gave her a once over and was surprised to find himself thinking that she had grown up into a pretty damn fine woman. Long dark hair, legs that went on forever, and a killer body. He whistled at her. “Looking good Winchester. Ben must have a hell of a high body count these days. How many guys has he killed for coming onto you?"

Completely unaware of the blonde she’d just scared away, Chey grinned impishly with about the fact she’d bumped into Bastian again. As she’d leaped onto him, he’d wrapped his arms around her and spun her. A giggly ‘weeeeee’ came out of the little Winchester before her feet touched the ground again. As she moved her hair back into place she noted how tall he looks in front of her, Those entire nine inches made a huge difference right now. He was around the same height as her brothers and the fact that they always made her feel so incredibly short was the main reason that she trained herself to walk in heels. A lot of people don’t understand how Chey can not be girly yet wear heels and dresses and make herself look pretty. She wasn’t exactly a tomboy she just wasn’t all pink and glitter and fluffy as girls like Karlie and Simi.
After being informed she probably sweaty now, Chey looked down at herself and laughed. “Nahhh I think I got away with it!” She said, sniffing slightly to make sure she didn’t smell. Chey hadn’t even realized he’d been looking at her until she heard the whistle he shot her way. Her eyes suddenly moved up to meet his as she listened to what he said. Chey started to blush and Chey NEVER blushed. Guys generally couldn’t say things like that without Chey thinking it was… lame. But the way it made Chey blush was so bizarre. She chuckled slightly and started to speak. “I’m not sure of the exact body count but…. Nah, I don’t really get that much attention from men!” Roughly translated, she avoided it. She’d never really looked for it. It did occasionally find her when she was in her teens and then she hit college and well, she only had eyes for one guy. Sometimes she wondered if guys were worth it. She couldn’t be a sleep-around kinda girl and she couldn’t bare the idea of getting close to people since…. Bleh I’m going way off topic aren’t I?
Stood there out in the cold Chey had turned the compliment on Bastian. “What about you? Actually, you’ve always been hot and you’ve always known it!” She teased, raising her eyebrows slightly. “But seriously Mr Blair, how long has it been? I’ve missed you!!” Oh god she hoped Simi never told him she had a silly school girl crush. Chey really trusted Simi not to say anything and she still did so she was sure she didn’t. Besides she was only young, she could be forgiven that right??

Bastian seriously doubted that Chey wasn’t getting attention from men. More than likely either A. She was getting attention and completely oblivious or B. Ben or Ryder scared them off before they could show her any attention. Hey, Bastian understood. He had a sister of his own. Finding a guy that was good enough for her was like finding a needle in a haystack with no metal detectors handy. A pain in the ass. He grinned when Chey boasted his ego. What? Like he was really going to argue? Bastian knew he was a damn fine looking man. He was also a damn fine hunter and knew how to get the ladies. Chey however wouldn’t be one of his conquests. Not only had he known her too long for that, but he had no intention of being on the Winchester warpath. Not that he couldn’t take on Ben and Ryder, but they were his friends and so was Chey. As hot as she looked standing there, Bastian would never think to make Chey one of his one night stands. He had too much respect for her. He was a play boy, not a dick. “It’s been a while,” He nodded to her and smiled wider when Chey said she’d missed him. “Well who wouldn’t miss me?” He gestured to himself. “I mean come on. Once a woman meets me, they never forget.” He winked at her and laughed. “So what do you say we go grab a cup of coffee and catch up?” He asked her. “You can tell me what’s been going on with you and those crazy brothers of yours.”He probably would have suggested dinner, except he was still sweaty and figured that the restaurant wouldn’t want him sitting there half dressed and smelling of BO. No, coffee was the safe bet for now. They could grab a cup and walk around for a bit. He had missed Chey, but he’d never tell her that. Hell he’d probably never tell anyone that. Except for maybe Simi and his mom. Besides, even if he couldn’t sleep with her, Bastian could definitely enjoy the view.

Now, in Chey’s head, she wasn’t the kind of girl guys liked. She never saw herself as ‘that attractive’. When you grow up being called Porky and being told you were ugly by your big brothers, you failed to have much self esteem. Then going to school at the hunters academy she found any guys that did like her and when she did, they were far too scared of her dad or brothers to even say it. With everything that happened when she was away at college, Chey had just tried to stay out of the way of guys and the drama that was known to come with them. Hell the only thing Chey was trying to do was prove she was good enough to help. She wanted to be a hunter no matter how lame it could be. With the boys it was easy. They were expected to be hunters. What annoyed Chey more was that everyone was perfectly okay with girls like Jess hunting. Why were they good enough and she wasn’t? Grr it just annoyed her so damn much! Chey had asked Bastian how long it had been and said that she missed him and apparently that just gave him a change to be a total big head. He asked who wouldn’t miss him and said that once a woman met him they never forgot. She just rolled her eyes real obviously. “How do you manage to get your head through the door Mr Blair.”
Bastian had this bizarre way of making Chey giggle like a thirteen year old with a crush. She wasn’t a thirteen with a crush. She was a twenty one year old with a six year old crush still playing on her mind. She wasn’t sure if she could still say she had a crush on him, not that she would ever admit if she did come to that conclusion. He’d suggested that they grab a cup of coffee and catch up. The idea was far too tempting. Cold weather and a long day at work meant that coffee was in serious demand. The catch up with Bastian would just be the cherry on top. He then said he could tell him what was going on with her and her crazy brothers. Chey’s eyes went wide all of a sudden. “Yeah we REALLY need a catch up!! Do you even know about Ryder?” Chey knew that she hadn’t told him but obviously Simi had known that he’d been walk about and she was his little sister so she could have let him know. She didn’t know. The Winchesters tried desperately to make sure that not a hell of a lot of people knew about Ryder being missing and well Chey was the only one in the family that knew where he was and she made sure no one knew that nugget of information. It still hurt Chey a little that her dad’s first instincts when Ryder left had been ‘the demonic community can’t find out’ not ‘where the fuck has my son gone’. Chey saw the logic sure, especially if they knew Ryder was heart broken and alone, can you say vulnerable.
It was as she was thinking about catching up with Ryder that Chey realized that she hadn’t actually spoken to Simi properly in ages!!! She’d seen her with Karlie occasionally and there was the odd text and phone call but nothing solid. She made a mental note to ask Jess if she’d heard from her, she wouldn’t ask Bastian just in case she caused the poor boy to worry. Despite the fact that Bastian had complimented her earlier, Chey would never expect him to actually find her attractive let alone even want to sleep with her. The little brunette turned up her mouth in thought for a moment and suddenly pointed behind her. “Best coffee in the state, this way! I swear it’s beyond words!” She said with a small wink. She was recommended to the place by her boss’s, and Bastian’s cousin’s, husband and well the way Damara was with his coffee you KNEW it had to be good. The only coffee she had ever had that beat it was in t a little place in New York, not that her dad even knew she’d visited anywhere that far away. God bless her friends in states far enough away that daddy didn’t get suspicious when she was away for a couple of weeks. Chey waited for Bastian’s go ahead to move. God did he have to look so good stood there? Totally unfair.

Now And again we try To just stay alive Maybe we'll turn it all around 'Cause it's not too late It's never too late Bastian watched Chey who was practically buzzing with excitement. Seriously he didn’t know how she did it. The girl was like the energizer bunny in a Play Boy bunny’s body. Maybe he had better make sure that the barista slips her decaf when they get to the coffee shop. It wouldn’t be sneaky or anything. He’d probably be saving Chey from jumping bout of her shoes and jumping off walls. When Chey mentioned how big his head was, Bastian could only grin. Yeah he had an ego. He had damn good reason for having one as well. At least he admitted it though he figured some people could see that as conceded. Okay, well technically he was. There was no point in modesty. Not when you were Bastian Blair. “There’s nothing wrong with my head, Ms. Winchester.”For some reason Bastian couldn’t stop his eyes from roaming over her body. She was hot. There was no way to deny that. Chey had grown from awkward and angles, knees and elbows into long legs, sensuous curves and a killer smile. Not to mention the eyes he found himself getting lost in. Bastian chided himself. Chey was not a girl to just call in bed with to add as a notch on his belt. She was an old friend. Someone he would watch out for, and probably kill someone for if Ben needed any help doing it. He rubbed a hand on the back of his head, trying to keep his gaze on her eyes. That was the safest place to look. Except those were damn gorgeous too, and he found himself lost for a moment until Chey mentioned Ryder. “Ryder? What’s going on with Ryder?” The way she said it made it sound like there wasn’t any good news following that statement. She quickly went on raving about a coffee shop nearby and they started walking down the street towards the place. Bastian had been doing his own thing up until a few months ago, and now he his priority was finding Simi, who for some reason was avoiding Bastian and his mom. He didn’t want to bring that fact up to Chey just yet. Though if he recalled they had been pretty close at one point. Maybe they had spoken and she knew what was going on. When they got to the coffee shop, Bastian held the door open for Chey and then followed her in, grinning. “See my head fits through doors just fine.”

Bastian had insisted to Chey that there is nothing wrong with his head. He totally had an ego bigger than her bit she didn’t mind in the slightest. She grew up around egos that were even possibly bigger than his. Besides, with the way he looked right now, standing before her, she would happily make that ego bigger. Hell, speakin’ of bigger she’d love to make his…………. Never mind! Chey hadn’t even noticed the way his eyes would occasionally wander over her. Chey knew she wasn’t exactly the same girl she used to be. Hell Bastian had known her since she was little. She just really hoped he just remembered her skinny dorky looking phase and not the puppy fat phase. Not that either were a hell of a lot better than the other really. She wasn’t exactly dressed up; jeans, boots, tee and jacket. But if she needed them, Chey definitely had the assets to turn men to putty. It wasn’t like she didn’t know how to use them, she just didn’t have the confidence she had 3 years ago.
Chey had mentioned the Ryder thing and Bastian had picked up on it and questioned it. Chey sighed lightly. She was so excited to be around Bastian again but she knew this would come out some way or another. “Do you remember that girl he was seeing? Christine??” Chey’s hands moved together and she started to nervously scratch at the back of her right hand. Chey didn’t even know when she did it anymore. There were few times she did any real damage to her hand and you knew there was something seriously going on if she drew blood. You’d start to notice it if you knew her, she’d scratch her hand and if she couldn’t scratch her hand it’d be her arm or her shoulder, sometimes even the side of her face and her jaw. “There was an accident… Well technically a hunt went wrong…. Ryder got hurt and Ben didn’t know Christine was in there… Ben just about saved Ryder’s life.. But Christine..” She sighed again, this time more heavily, the fact still weighing heavily on her heart. “We umm… well Ryder blames Ben… He left and we…. Haven’t seen him since!” Well that put a damper on the mood.
For a moment then, Chey had felt different. Happy, bubbly, more like the person she used to be. It was totally bizarre that seeing Bastian again had managed to bring out the side to her that few people had seen for a rather long time. Her girlies got the happy, smiley Chey, but the Chey that wanted to jump up and down on the spot and squee had been gone for a while. Six months was a longer time than it seemed. Six months of death, disaster, and disagreements. How could it all seem so much easier after six minutes? Six minutes of looking at Bastian in all his sexy, sumptuous…. GAHHH CHEY! STOP CHECKING HIM OUT!!!!! Simi would probably kill her!! Not to mention Ben killin’ him!! Really, she should stop.
Once they’d reached the shop, Bastian held the door open to her. Ever the gentleman!! Chey slipped in past his arm, the heat nice and not overwhelming. She’d stepped past the door way when she heard him say his head fit through doors just fine. Chey turned on her heels to view him, this big infectious grin on her face. “Wow… So it does!” She said, a look of shock spreading across her face but the grin still there. There was a spring in her step as she headed to the counter, her hand stretching out to beat the peek of baseball cap, sitting on the head of the guy behind it before stealing a chocolate coffee stirrer. “Hey Ryyyyyan. You know what I want!” Yeah she came in here far too often. Her freidn behind the bar rolled his eyes. “Large caramel latte, extra foam and whipped cream with chocolate sprinkles”. Ahhhh it was music to her ears. If there was one thing better than coffee, it was coffee with caramel. Chey’s eyes gleamed with excitement as she turned to Bastian and waited for him to order something.

Bastian listened quietly and patiently as Chey told him what was going on with Ryder and Ben. The look of shock on his face was mild, but he really couldn’t believe what Chey was telling him. Ben was a self righteous jerk, who thought he was always right and probably was God’s gift to women. If the stories were true he was exactly like his father. All that aside, Ben was nothing but loyal to his family. He would kill people over Ryder and Chey. He couldn’t imagine that Ben would do anything to purposely hurt Ryder or anyone he cared about.
It wasn’t his business to get involved in though. He felt a bit bad for Chey though. He knew they’d all always been close. She hadn’t been a part of it, but Bastian had no doubt she was in the middle of it. Well at least she seemed to be doing okay with it. Chey had seemed to have felt a bit down for a moment before becoming all giddy again.
Not really knowing what to say, Bastian just let Chey tell him what she wanted to. Not that Chey had ever really been secretive about things. Bastian just watched her as she ordered her coffee or desert as it sounded like. That was one hell of a sweet drink.
“I’ll have a coffee, black,” He told Ryan. The barista’s eyebrows went up at that.
“What size?” He asked.
“Medium,” Bastian replied.
Ryan raised an eyebrow at him. “We don’t have medium. We have Tall, Grande, and Venti.”
Bastian rolled his eyes before giving Ryan a flat look. “Okay I don’t want your smallest cup, and I don’t want your largest cup. I want the cup size that’s in the middle. Got it pretty boy?” He let a bit of aggression come out in his words, and it was all it took before Ryan got an unsure look on his face and scrambled to make their orders.
Pulling his wallet out of his back pocket, Bastian paid for the drinks and guided Chey over to sit at a table. “I’m sorry about Ryder and Ben. I’m sure they’ll come around. Maybe they just need some time.” It came out awkward, but honestly, Bastian didn't know what else to say.

Chey’s drink practically could have been a desert it was true. First thing in the morning it was all about getting as much caffeine into your body as humanly possible but right now, after a long day at work and the excitement of bumping into the gorgeous Mr Blair she wanted something yummy to get her taste buds tingling! Her drink was usually her pick-me-up and the fact that the barista’s saw her coming proved she needed picking up far too often. He made Chey seem completely crazy as he then went to order a Black coffee. Chey then looked between the two as Bastian bitched Ryan about the size. She had to admit she was with him on that one. Why didn’t every shop just use ‘small, medium, large’? Surely it was easier?? And if someone said medium you should know what that is and not have to have them say it the way you have it listed. Despite the fact Ryan was Chey’s barista friend, Chey loved the way Bastian put him in his place and then continued to call him pretty boy. Chey noticed the blush on Ryan’s face of pure embarrassment as he put their order through and then Bastian had paid. Chey hadn’t even registered he was paying until he had. “Stupid head! I would have paid! Mine cost like twice what yours did!!” Though three times was probably more accurate.
As Bastian guided her to a table, Chey happily moved along with him. She slipped herself down into the seat and turned to face Bastian. She forced a small smile at Bastian as he re-established Ben and Ryder as the subject of conversation. He’d said he was sorry and that he was sure they’d come around. Chey had shrugged slightly, not letting her smile fade as her nose wrinkled. She’d become an expert at keeping that smile on her face. “Thank you. Honestly I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going to happen. But it doesn’t matter!! I love my brothers but right now… I have Bastian to talk about!!!! So tell me, what’s going on with you?” She hadn’t seen him since before she’d gone off to college and she knew how much she’d been through in those short years so Bastian had to have something to tell her right?

I'm on the front line Don't worry I'll be fine The story is just beginning I say goodbye to my weakness Hold on to no regrets And now I know that I'm aliveStupid head? Bastian raised an eyebrow at that. He knew Chey was an excitable girl, but stupid head? He couldn’t help but laugh. He didn’t understand how she’d managed to keep her childlike ways for all these years. Most of them had lost any sense of wonderment by the time they were fifteen. Chey though seemed to hold onto it as though it were a lifeline running through the core of her. Hell maybe it was. Bastian hadn’t seen her in so long he didn’t really know her anymore. “No worries about the cost, Winchester. I’m a Blair remember?” He shook his head. Bastian’s family had a lot of money and paying for a coffee was nothing. Not that he was a spoiled brat or anything, but he was raised that you paid for a lady when you were out together. He didn’t dare say date, because this wasn’t one. It was two friends getting coffee. Even if it was true that Bastian wouldn’t be opposed to seeing this friend naked and writhing beneath him. Bad thoughts Bastian, bad thoughts!Even if the Winchester brothers weren’t talking at the moment, Bastian knew that if he slept with Chey they would have no problems banding back together just long enough to kick his ass. Scratch that. Just long enough to put Bastian six feet under. Besides it goes back to that whole, not being a jerk thing. It wasn’t something he would do to Chey. Still he’d have to be dead not to fantasize about it. Bastian shook his head when Chey asked about him. Sure there was a lot he could tell her about, but for the moment his focus was only on one thing. “Not a whole lot, honestly. I’m just trying to find out what’s going on with Simi.” He sipped his coffee, letting the bitter liquid coat his tongue as he gaged Chey’s reaction. There was no way Simi could drop off the grid like this without help and he knew she and Chey were or at least once had been good friends. He really didn’t keep up on all the latest gossip. “Have you heard from her lately?”
