A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Coming from a somewhat well to do family, Stuart was the disappointment of a son who, instead of following a career of law like his father, chose instead to become an elementary school teacher. Redemption however took the form of Sarah Coleridge, a woman he had known since childhood, and whose life he was always somewhat thrust into. Their parents set them up… and only three months after they started dating, they were engaged, and three weeks after their graduation, they married. Their marriage however was not good, and Stuart was never what you could be called happy. Despite his charming, bubbly personality, he was often subdued at home and haunted by the knowledge that his wife was cheating on him. He never loved her, but it still hurt. Then he met Delilah, spunky, full of life…. A whirlwind affair became love, and love became a tragedy when Sarah found out and it was revealed that Stuarts Delilah was in fact a minor, and there was every chance that he could lose his job, and his respect, if they continued the affair, despite Stuarts having demanded a divorce. To ice the cake… Delilah fled after the confrontation. Stuart sent months looking for her of course – the young man had never been in love and here it was plain as day. The down trodden man had become filled with a zest for life again… a zest that had apparently over spilled when nine months later her was presented with a baby boy . Now, nearly six years on, Stuart Penbrook lives and works for his son Noah, an eternal bachelor in a rundown apartment, he’s trying the best he can…. But he fears its not good enough.
