Karlie was so so so worried about Simone. For months Karlie had kept her secret to herself. Karlie had been 13 when she went through the same thing. She knew the fear that filled you and she knew the disgust you felt towards yourself. She knew how hard it was to speak up. Karlie had been lucky that she had an amazing guy in her life when she finally did start dealing with it all. Now Karlie knew that Simi had an amazing family and that she had nothing to worry about telling them but Simi was worried. And Karlie knew that if she told, her cousin would lose faith in her and stop telling her stuff. But after the state she was in this evening, Karlie couldn't keep her mouth shut any more. Her first instinct had been to call their friends. Karlie rang Chey because she knew Chey was more of a level head than her. She didn't tell her over the phone exactly what was going on, just that she and the other girls were needed. Badly.
Chey had already been and gone once, Karlie had handed her some cash and told her some hard liquor was in order. Karlie never really had it in the house. She didnt need it with the kids and you know having a bar. Chey was seriously confused but the one thing about that girl was that she knew when to and when not to ask questions. Karlie stayed in Simi's room as much as possible, watching her sleep. She was so worried about her.
Chey had ended up downstairs with Damon. He didn't know what was going on either but the guy was concerned. Karlie had sneaked Simi's laptop out of the office and tried to guess her password as she watched the little blondie sleep, not moving until the moment she heard that late night knock on the door that MUST have been Jess or Tess.

There was nothing like burning daylight with the motor wide open and a cool hand on the wheel. Miles flew by like it was nothing and the radar detector on her dash signaled whenever any cop was within distances of stopping her. All in all, it was a pretty good day and she'd had a license to fly. Damn, she loved her baby. Sliding sideways up the long driveway, Jessie Coulter grinned as the smell of rubber filled the air but she didn't give it much more thought as she pulled up alongside a a purple challenger and then hoped out to pat her Camaro on the hood. One appreciative look at Simi's baby and then she was popping up the sidewalk to the front door. SLiding her shades up on the top of chocolate colored locks, she took out her phone and quickly checked it before tappign on the door. Expecting no answer, she twisted the knob and then stepped inside. "YO!!! KARLIE!!! DAMON???" she called out, trying to be sort of quiet since the girls were no doubt around and might be napping. "Anyone home?? I hope you got the whiskey!!" Then, trudging towards the kitchen, she peeked inside , spied the coffee and then headed in to grab a cup. That was the one thing about Karlie and D's house... There always seemed to be a strong brew on and lots of sugar ready and waiting. 'HEY!! I'm RAIDING YOUR STASH IN HERE!!" she called out just so she didn't startle anyone. One of the perks of being such a tight knitted clan was that everyone pretty much was at home at each others places and didn't stand on ceremony. Unfortunately, the fact Karlie wasn't running out to greet her had her a little bit concerned. That message had been criptic to say the least and this wasn't looking good.

Tessa had been at her family's home in New Orleans when she got the cryptic text message from Chey saying that they were needed at Karlie's. Something was up with Simi, but apparently, Karlie didn't want to talk about it over the phone.
No more needed to be said. Tessa had grabbed the overnight bag that was always packed and ready, snagged her messenger bag that had her laptop and other researching gear inside it, wrote a quick note telling her parents she had something she had to take care of and she'd be back in a few days. Then she was out the door and into the trusty old sky blue Chevy Tahoe that used to be her mother's.
Tess was on the road and flying as fast as she could manage. She had to keep her emotions in check. Something was up, she knew that much. The 'calling all girls' alert did not go out for nothing. One of the girls was in need and this time it was Simi. Luckily it was only a few hour drive from New Orleans to Karlie's place and Tess was making record time.
Pulling up to the house Tess could see that Simi's car was there and Jessie's was too. She took a deep breath, leaving her bags in the car for now she popped out and slammed the door shut behind her. With long strides she got to the front door and saw that it was left ajar, Jess must have just gotten there too. She pushed the door open while knocking at the same time.
"Hey all. You guys here? It's me, Tess. I'm here."
Tess took a look around. Wondering where everyone was.

Karlie heard the knocking on the door and then quickly after it the sound of Jessie calling through the house. Karlie and silently lifted herself off the chair. The joys of being a mother, you learned to sneak in and out of bedrooms without ever being noticed or waking anyone up. Karlie walked into the study and placed the laptop down on the desk, taking a deep breath before heading off to find Jessie. As Karlie walked past the front door there was another knock and she watched as Tess opened the door and bellowed in. "Hey Tessy!" She said, motioning her head towards the kitchen before walking through and seeing Jessie. "Do you want anything Tess? Chey's already in the living room."
Karlie was doing her best to try and look calm and normal. The girls knew that being called here meant that something was seriously wrong but they weren't going to get anywhere if they weren't calm about it. It was just going to be argument after argument if they didn't approach it right and Simi didn't need that! She needed them to all be there for her and look after her. But more importantly they needed to TAKE THESE BASTARDS DOWN!!!!

This evening was becoming a total blur. So far Chey was doing as she was told so far; texting everyone, getting the stuff Karlie asked for, and then when she arrived she'd taken to cleaning Karlie's living room for her out of boredom. She wasn't really there that long, she'd already put a new pot of coffee on, had a conversation with Damon and helped clear Kayla's toys away. Damon kept telling her not to help but she was there and worried so she had to. Damon had been about to go for a smoke when Chelsea had woken up but Chey promptly told him to go do his thing and she'd sort the baby out. Chelsea was such a little cutey and Chey was getting quite good with her and sat in the living room feeding the hungry little thing. Chey was the youngest of practically every family she knew and so Karlie having her little ones was the first time Chey was ever normally around kids.
The cutie pie had fallen asleep and soon enough, Damon came strolling through and took the little mite to bed, and as he walked towards the door, Karlie came walking through the other way, saying goodnight to the baby before Damon said he was going to head to bed as well. Chey had practically fallen onto the couch, grabbing her phone and placing it on the arm of the couch and waiting for everyone else to come through the door, smiling up at them all. "Hey girlys!" She said, leaning up and holding her arms out for Jess. She hadn't seen the girl in a little while and as for Tess it had been forever and though it wasn't the greatest way to be reunited, she was kinda glad for it. Well for now she was...

Jessies was just finishing up pouring some coffee when she heard Tessa. Moving back out into the hallway, she followed the sound and arrived in the living room just as Tessa walked in from one side and Karlie from the other. Chey was already on the couch so she bounced over, sat her coffee on a coaster and hugged her other best best girl. Then , flopping on the couch, she picked up her coffee, gave Tessa a playful swat with her hand and eyed Karlie. "Well now....... Looks like the gang is all here.... and since I'm sure we are all dieing ot know whats rotten in Denmark..... Some one better start spilling hte beans. What the hell happened and who do we need to kill? I say Karlie drives the get away car just in case we get caught cause shes a mom and she won't get as long in jail." Bringing her coffee to her lips, she sipped at it and watched the expressions play across her face before she suddenly stilled. Holy HELL. Why did she suddenly have a feeling this wasn't going to be a typical female "THat asshole broke her heart" kind of session. She'd been teasing when she mentioned killing someone but ...... "Karlie?? What the hell is going on??" Glancing sideways, she took in Chey's baffled expression and then Tessa's worried one. Setting her cup aside again, she leaned forward and rested her elbows on her knees. "I haven't seen Simi in.... Months.... So I have no clue whats going on.. Last time I talked to her was in.... October? THat was on the phone and she sounded like she was simply busy...."

Tess walked a little further into the house, leaving the entry way and making it into the living room. Then suddenly she wasn't alone anymore. Karlie came in from one direction and Jessie came from the other. All three of them converging in the main room where Chey was already planted on the couch. She gave everyone a quick "Hey," and a wave. Then she got out of the way as Jess made her way to set on the couch, coffee cup in hand. Tessa moved and sat on the arm of the sofa and folded her arms across her chest.
Listening to Jess talk, she raised an eyebrow and watched the faces of the other girls. When Jessie's normally sarcastic banter stopped and she turned serious, Tess chewed on her lip. It was like it suddenly hit them, something was desperately wrong or they wouldn't all be her like this at the spur of the moment, late at night. This was not one of their old time slumber parties.
Nodding in agreement with Jess, Tessa tried to keep herself calm. Deep breaths in and out slowly. She hated this. Hunting down demons and vampires she could handle. One of her girls in trouble... Not so much... And this was Simi, the Jordan kids had shared cribs and play pens together with the Blair kids when they were babies. Simi was the same age as her baby brother Ash and she cared about as much for Simi too.
"Yeah, what the hell is going on."
Tessa spoke quietly, echoing Jessie's words. The low tone in her voice not really hiding the worry she was feeling. She felt like she was about to explode with anxiety.
"Karlie?"
Karlie called this meeting and it seemed obvious the other girls had no idea what was going on either. Tessa shifted her eyes and looked to Karlie expectantly. Waiting to hear what she had to tell them.

Karlieann:
Karlie looked around at all the eager, scared eyes looking upon her but didn't want to have to tell them the horrors of it. Hell Karlie wished she didn't know not to mention the fact she really really wished that poor Simi didn't have to be going through this. Karlie turned and grabbed four glasses, heavily filling each one with a good amount of Whiskey and pacing the room with a sigh! Her thumb rubbed heavily into the center of her palm and she looked up. "Okay, there isn't a way to sugar coat this... You all know me... I don't just 'come out' with things. But im going to have to." Her eyes picked a spot on the cieling and the words slipped out through her lips. "Simi was date raped."
JESS
For a long moment, you could have heard a pen drop in the room. From her seat on the couch arm, Jess stared at her hard and then silently got up and grabbed one of the glasses to toss it straight back.
When she finally broke the silence that had fallen, her voice was harsh and angry. Every muscle in her body was tensed to explode but her words were practically hissed in a tone designed not to reach anyone else who might be in the house.. Just the gathered girls in the living room.
"WHen? Who? How? Wasn't she dating the same guy for like.. Two years or something? How the hell did it happen?? And has the son of a bitch been punished??"
Chey:
Chey wasn't sure she'd seen Karlie like this before. She'd known the girl a long time and she'd seen her go through a lot. Even the way she so casually poured out the drink was something she wouldn't see from the bubbly happy little thing. Chey had a feeling she wanted the drink and so let her fingers slip around the glass and braced herself for what she clearly didn't want to hear and then as it hit her ears, she didwished she didn't hear it. Jessie pretty much covered every question in her little hiss and Chey just looked between Jess and Karlie desperately. "Thats... why she disapeared.... Oh my god!" Chey's hand covered her mouth... She wasn't a godly person but right now she was praying this was a dream.
Tessa:
Tessa reached out and took one of the glasses that Karlie had poured out. Holding it in both her hands, turning it round and round as she waited for Karlie to spit out what she had to say. When the words actually left the other woman's lips, Tessa was in shock.
Jess spoke up first, then Chey said something. Tess took a deep breath then downed the glass of whiskey in her hands. Quietly she just said, "Simi."
Clenching her jaw she looked at each one of the other girls after a moment. Her face set in a serious mask . "Question is, what are we going to do about it? We are going to do something right?"
Karlieann:
Karlie just took a deep breath. "Basically, yeah she was with this guy... And she told him the family secret and he left her... Then he started acting really odd and tried to make things up, invited her to a party and must have slipped something in her drink. She woke up the next morning....." Karlie had to take a really deep breath but was already crying. "She woke up in the bushes out side her house and she knew what had happened. She refused to talk to anyone and she told me if I told anyone she'd leave and never forgive me so i was stuck!!! I wanted to tell you all, hell i wanted to kill the guy or at least let my husband at him but I did what Simi asked but then... tonight it sort of... well she got an email." Karlie had to down her drink, the tears flowing down her face. "Theres pictures... of various guys doing... unthinkable things to her... and then pictures of other girls he's clearly done this to...." Her eyes closed as the next words slipped through her lips. "Dead girls. The message was entitled 'You were meant to be the first'." She didn't even know how to answer her question. "I don't know what to do but i had to tell you guys. I can't cope anymore. I love that girl like my own sister but with the kids and everything its so hard... What can i do? To go after him right now seems like suicide... And she's broken... She's a complete mess.... I need you all to help me!"
Jessie:
God. This was the last thing she'd expected to hear when she'd walked into this room. Hell, the last thing ANY of them had expected to hear. No doubt Tess and Chey had all been thinking this was going ot be a normal "he broke her heart" man bashing episode too.
Karlies words, though, were serious and more than a little choked up. There was no doubt that everythign she said was the truth and Jess felt as if her heart was going to break. Simi, who's always been bubbly and different than the rest of them. The vivacious blond who they'd all kind of sheltered and who'd went off to a normal school while the rest of them had chosen to stay in this life. Simi was so much like Karlie that the two were practically twins so no doubt Karlie was about to loose it too.
"Well... Hell..." seemed to be the only thing she could say for a long moment before she glanced at Tess and then shifted uneasily. She'd never been the real touchy feely sort but she went over to Karlie anyways and put a arm over her shoulders.
"Its allright now, Karlie.. We're all here... and we're going to figure out what the hell to do. No one is allowed to hurt one of our girls and get away with it.... I have to ask you though.. Is there any way we can see the email? Just for clues?? I think it best if Simi doesn't know whats going on right now..... Where is she at? Is she Ok for the moment???"
Karlieann:
Karlie sighed and leaned inwards towards Jess as an arm wrapped around her. She knew that the girls were going to be a lot more usefull than just her but it hurt her heart that she was betraying Simi's trust. She hoped it was something she'd only ever have to do once. She listened to what Jess said and let out a painful sigh. "I've been trying to get passed her passwords since i called you guys!!! I'm not good with computers but I've tried everything I know! And she's upstairs in bed! She cried herself to sleep. I wouldn't say okay but she's unconcious.. its as good as it gets."
Chey:
Chey had been lost for words until Karlie said about the laptop. Chey suddenly perked up! "I CAN DO IT! I mean... I can hack her computer... Who do you think wiped Ben's criminal record? Twice?" She said pulling herself off the sofa and cracking her knuckles slightly. And then something came into her mind, after the amazing night she'd had before she was kicking herself for not thinking it before, but she wondered if anyone should have called bastian.
Tessa:
Tessa got up, went over to the bottle that Karlie had poured their drinks from. She poured herself another one and sucked it back quickly. Folding her arms across her chest she felt awkward a bit. They all seemed to be in shock. Tess looked over a Jess as Jess did her best to comfort Karlie. It wasn't exactly Jess' strong suit, but they were all close enough that Jessie was comfortable with showing some affection. When Chey jumped up on the computer, Tess felt a little chill go down her spine. Did she really want to see this? But, she had to. They had to do something. This was Simi. Tessa stood behind Chey with the other girls and watched as she went to work.
"So, this is the guy she was seeing right? Do we know where he is? Is he still at the college? Are we going to have to track his ass down?"
As she thought about it, she went to head out the door. She had brought her laptop with her. She needed to do something. She couldn't just stand there.
"I'll be right back, going to grab my laptop from the car."
Tessa rushed out the door, got to her car and snatched up her messenger bag with the laptop. Running back into the house she sat back on the couch. Getting her laptop set up and ready to start running searches or whatever they needed to do.
Jessie:
Squeezing Karlies shoulder again, Jess took a deep breath as first Chey and then Tessa seemed to kick into action. It was something that seemed to trigger some relief for them all and they wasted no more time on tears and emotional outbursts. This was what they all did best and what made them one hell of a kick ass team.
Finally.. a plan of action. She could definitely live with this! Stepping away from Karlie, Jess began to pace even as she waited for Chey to pull up what they needed. WHen it was up, she peered with determined detachment at the photos and then grimaced. Son of a bitch.
"OK, so.... Something about this seems off to me though.. If Simi dated this dude for two years and was going to marry him... Why the sudden flip of the switch. Something is rotten in Denmark... I mean, sure.. he may have thought her nuts but to go this far?? I dont' know.. it doesn't compute to me... "
Running her hand through her hair, she talked as she walked and every once in awhile glanced over at the others to get their take.
"God... Poor Simi.... No wonder she's been acting so funny.. I just thought she was busy... Not taking calls and all..."
Karlieann:
Karlie could only shrug at the million things being said. "I dont know. I don't know anything. If i knew the answers it'd make it a hell of a lot easier but i dont!!! All i know is EXACTLY what i've told you all!" She sighed before looking at Chey. "I'm going to check on her guys. Do you wanna come get the laptop?" Chey:
Chey had nodded at what Karlie said and followed her down the hall way. As Chey was pointed at the laptop, she took the little macbook back to the living room sat down, opening it and letting her fingers do all the work. It was easy as hell to get around the simple password and before she knew it her fingers were tapping in the details of Simi's email and clicking the email with the subject they were told about earlier on in the evening. As the pictures slowly came up on the screen Chey wanted to be sick again. Her hand went to her pocket, pulling out her cell phone but her brain not quite able to make words. She was ready to ring Bastian. With everything going on with them she couldn't not tell him about what she could see... But before she had the chance to dial she heard a voice behind her.
Bastian:
Bastian pulled up to Karlie's house. Simi had been avoiding him far too long. She was close with Karlie. If anything his cousin may be able to help get him on the right track. Something was going on. Something was wrong. Bastian could feel it in his gut. If there was one thing his father had taught him it was to trust his instincts. Bastian wasn't surprised to find the door open and went inside only to walk into a room full of worried faces. His heart stopped for a moment as he looked around and then saw the horrified look on Chey's face* Why do I feel like someone kicked everyones favorite puppy?

Chey:
It was weird, no matter how much Chey didnt want to see what was right in front of her but her eyes didn't seem to want to move. Bastian's words, though a joke weren't that far from the truth, but instead of a kick it had been rape, and the puppy was their Sims!! His sister, Karlie's cousin and their best friend. Reluctantly, Chey looked up at Bastian, holding his eyes for a moment. He didn't have a clue and she wasn't looking forward to him finding out. Looking towards the table, Chey pointed at the bottle of Whiskey sat in the middle of it and looked at Bastian. "Drink... And quick." She waited for him to do so and then looked at the girl, waiting for everyone to be ready before placing the laptop in the middle of the coffee table so they could all see and then slowly scrolled down the pictures. She didn't say anything, she couldn't. But her eyes didn't move from Bastian. She was most worried about him. That was his baby sister and Chey knew already how much he'd been worrying about her. She knew it wasn't going to be pretty so she just waited for the explosion.
Bastian:
Bastian raised a brow when Chey pointed him towards the whiskey bottle.
"Not that I'm one to turn down a drink, but I think I want to know what's going on first." Something was very, very wrong. Bastian did not like the way Chey was looking at him at all. He had come here to see Karlie and maybe get a lead on where Simi was. Instead he had found a room full of sad faces, which was not instilling any faith in him. "What's going on Chey?"
When Chey set the laptop in the middle of the table and began scrolling through the pictures all Bastian could do was stare. It was like the entire world shifted beneath his feat and he was stuck in some sort of surreal nightmare type twilight zone. That was NOT Simi in those pictures. Lurching forward he grabbed the laptop from Chey and went through the pictures. "Sims..." Nausea flooded his belly for only a moment before it was overrode by a tidal wave of fury that crashed down over him.
Swallowing thickly he put the laptop down and turned away. Before he knew what he was doing he'd lifted the table and over turned a sound of raw anger tearing from his throat. Starting to pace Bastian tried to process everything he'd just seen. "Where is she? Where's Simi?"
Tessa:
Tess sat with her laptop in her lap. They knew the guy's name, Gregg Stiene, Simi had been seeing him for a long time. Though Tessa had never actually met him. For lack of anything better to do she just started typing his name into the computer, doing some cursory searches. Not sure if it was going to be of any help. She had to do something.
When Bastian showed up, Tessa wasn't really surprised. He was her big brother so he had to know something was wrong too. Karlie's was the most likey place for him to come looking for her. All she could do was give him a quick nod in greeting as he arrived.
Tessa stopped what she was doing as Chey set the other laptop down on the table. All Tessa could do was stare in horror as her friend scrolled through the email and attached pictures on the screen. Involuntarily she gasped and covered her mouth with her hand.
The lump in her throat seemed to cut off her breathing and she had to swallow hard to get past it. She tried to maintain some kind of calm even though she really wanted to jump out of her skin. The urge to hurt something or more specifically someone rose up. She had to tamp the feeling back down but she couldn't stop the silent tears that fell from her eyes. "Oh my God... Simi..."
Then her eyes shot up to Bastian. Knowing that something was going to happen. She curled her legs up underneath herself on the couch. All she could do was watch him as he erupted in anger. Staying out of the way when the table in front of her went flying through the air. She had never felt so helpless in her life.
Jessie:
The moment Bastian walked in, Jess knew the shit was about to hit the fan. He obviously hadn't any clue of what was going on and that was troublesome in itself. The Blair siblings were pretty close and the fact that Simi had closed him out along with the rest of them.... That was saying something. Karlie had been the only one Simi had trusted with her terrible secret and that fact alone made her stomach twist when Chey looked at them all and then moved to set her laptop on the table.
The moment the images registered, it took all her iron will not to throw up even as Bastian's eyes narrowed on the screen and then seemed to compute what they were seeing. It didn't surprise her in the least bit when the explosion happened. In fact, she was honestly surprised it had only gone that far. Blair was known, far and wide, for his temper and protective streak to anyone who feel under his protection. Leaning on the edge of the couch, the huntress sighed and ran a hand over her face. "Karlie went to check on her.. Shes passed out I guess.... Cried herself to sleep from what she said....Waking her up to deal with this agian probably isn't the best idea, Bastian..."
Chey:
Chey really hadn't expected good things to come from Bastian, which is why as soon as he'd taken the laptop she'd taken a step back. In all honesty she'd expected the laptop to go flying agains the wall or something so when he placed it down there'd be a certain amount of shock on her face, shock that turned to fear as he flipped the table. Her eyes clenched shut with the crash. The few seconds silence as Bastian started to pace didn't last long before he was asking where Simi was. Chey was stood in the same position she'd been stood in since the moment she'd stepped back from the laptop. She nervously scratched at her hand as she listened to Jessie answer him. "She'd been dealing with this far too long. I can't believe she didn't just tell us when it happened. I just want to know why... Why Simi? Because she's from a family of hunters? It doesn't make sense!" Her question was mainly aimed at Jess and Tessa, not that she really expected an answer she just needed to get the question out of her head. She felt so useless stood there. She couldn't help Simi and she couldn't help Bastian. Any other situation her arms would have already been around him, trying to calm him down.. But this... The way he was... She wasn't that stupid. She couldn't calm him down from this.
Bastian:
Bastian rubbed his face angrily taking Jessie's advice, but wanting desperately to go to his sister. "Those son's of bitches hurt her and there going to pay! I swear to God I'm going to torture them slowly, then I'm going to kill them! Then I'm going to bring them back and do it all over again!" He was still pacing his face contorted in wild rage as he thought of the ways he was going the things he was going to do to them. Somewhere in the back of his mind some rational part of his mind told him that he it was not going to make things better for Simi. She was hurt, and she'd been too scared to come to him. That angered him more. She'd been scared to come to her own damn brother because of what these assholes had done to her. They had taken something from her and replaced it with terror. Bastian slammed his fist into the wall, feeling the drywall give way as his hand pushed all the way through it. He loved Simi more than anyone else in the world and his brain still couldn't process how someone could have done that to his sweet baby sister.
He pulled his hand from the wall and continued pacing, needing to do something, anything. He couldn't just stand around here. First he needed to talk to Simi. He needed to let her know she wasn't alone. That he loved her and that he was there for her. Then he needed to hunt these son's of bitches down and introduce them to a kind of torture that would make the wrack in hell look like a picnic in the park.
Tessa:
Tess was still taking deep breaths. The atmosphere in the living room was tense, to say the least. She couldn't imagine really what Bastian was feeling like. All she knew was for herself, she was suddenly teetering on the edge of breaking down into pieces for one of her dearest childhood friends and wanting to run out and slaughter everyone and everything that had a hand in hurting Simi.
With her laptop still balancing on her thighs she reached up and wiped away the tears on her cheeks. She needed to focus on the task at hand. They needed to be rational. They needed a plan of some kind. It wouldn't do to go off half-cocked. That would just get them rounded up and thrown in jail most likely and it wouldn't help Simi at all.
Tessa let her eyes drift around the room. Letting her gaze pass over each of the people there. All of them she'd known since childhood. They all had seen and done things that no normal people had. She found herself nodding her head, thinking back to what Jessie had said before.
"I think Jess was right. Something seems off about this. All this time Simi saw this guy, for like two years right? Then he finds out she's a witch or whatever and goes this ballistic on her? Doesn't sit right with me. What do we know about him? What about the other guys involved in this? How did he get them to go along with it? Frat boys? Football team? I don't know. But, I think we need to put some pieces together. We. Need. A. Plan."
Jessie:
Well, wasn't this just a happy party. Of all the reasons Jess had ever imagined them coming together again.. THis hadn't been it. They were all wired like dynamite about to explode and it wasn't going to do Simi any good. In fact, she wasn't sure what would but stopping the asshole responsible for all these awful emails. That thought had barely registered when her cell phone blinked and she pulled it out to stare at the caller Id. Greattttttttttt... Just what she needed to deal with at the moment... an irrate Jericho. Unfortunately, before she could answer it, teh door bell rang and she knew instantly who was at the door. "Excuse me.... I'll go get that... I know who it is.." Casting a look at Bastian she sighed. "Actually, this might be someone Bastian will be grateful to see... "
That said, Jessie walked to the foyer and to the front door where she opened it up to see none other than Jericho DeVoux.
"Hey... You know... This is where you probalby aren't going to believe me but.. I'm DAMNED HAPPY TO SEE YOU, DeVoux!!" she said, wanting to throw herself in his arms but settling for leaning on the door and eyeing him with tired eyes. "We've got us a bit of a situation.. You might as well come in and help keep Bastian sane..."
Turning on her heel, she didn't wait for him to say anything but lead the way back to the living room where everyone was still trying to cope with the unraveling events.
Jericho:
Ah, the sweet smell of asphault in the morning was just the thing to remind a guy that he's alive. And, combined with the soft chirping of birds, the soft whisper of a crisp wind and the sizzle of drying leaves on the ground made everything much more beautiful.
Now, if only a certain someone wasn't wishing that a) those damn birds would somehow spontaneously combust in a poof of burnt feathers, b) the wind would pick up and turn into a storm that matched his current mood, and c) those leaves would catch fire and kill off any other happy birds that attempted to try to cheer him the fuck up.
Scowling, Jericho managed to stop himself from pounding on the steering wheel of a hiccuping old Camaro, frustration pounding in his brain. It was a price that a guy had to pay, after a certain blond snake-in-the-grass drove off into the sunset minus one knight in shining armor. After a particularly confusing two days- dammit, he was still confused- one of which ended up in Vegas, he'd woken up to the supposedly beautiful sight of a mussed up and sated Jessica Coulter. She'd looked like an angel while she slept, with those sweet lips parted, and an utter relaxed aura about her. There had been no sarcasm, no insults or veiled compliments...just her. Alone, with him, and sharing his bed. Call him a romantic moron, but hell man...nothing had seemed so goddamn sexy in a long goddamn time.
Which meant that he was probably really goddamn screwed, but what the hell. He'd better have his jollies now, before the world turned black, right? Fuck.
So, there he'd been; one part of his mind screaming like a little girl at the utter contentment that he felt when he looked at her, and the other demanding that he run his fingers through her hair and appreciate its softness. Then, with a stretch and a yawn, Jessie had awoken...and all hell broke loose. He'd kept wondering about why he felt so damn proud of the fact that she was naked in his bed, but at the time, they'd had more...pleasurable things to think about. So, like a good little moron, he hadn't put much stock in it.
But, after coming back from the ice maker with a bucket and a chilled bottle of wine to an empty room and 'sorry' written in lipstick on the bathroom mirror...well, whatever warm fuzzies that he'd been having immediately disappeared.
Thank God for cell phones, or he'd have really burst a blood vessel. After a few hours worth of hanging up on one another and bitching, he'd finally dragged out where she was going; to her friend Karlie's house, to answer some 'emergency.'
God, he wanted to kill someone. About a day later, when he'd been wallowing in a bar, trying to beat the crap out of himself with hard liquor and pretty faces, something had clicked in his head. By nightfall, he'd purchased a rusted 83 Impala that sounded like it had the clap, and by the following morning, he was breezing through two states. Destination: the residence of Karlie, whom he probably hadn't seen in years, if he'd ever met her at all. Why he was going? HE HAD NO FREAKING CLUE.
But, there he was, looking like a hobo- well...hopefully a sexy hobo- as he raised his fist to start pounding on the door. Not that he should've bothered, as it opened right up to reveal that damned wonderful face. Where was her neck? Oh, yeah, there it was...he'd really like to strangle it now.
"I hope you know how much I wanna boot your ass right now, Coulter," He growled, following her into the house. God, it was really freaky how much part of him wanted to grab her, while the other wanted to start banging his head against the wall. "What the hell's the situation this time? If it's another incubus, I'm so frikkin' outta here."

Bastian:
Bastian hadn't even heard a knock on the door or seen Jericho come back in with Jesse. He was still pacing his mind pulling him in a million different directions. Each direction lead down a path of furious anger that would end with him killing somebody.
Well all except one.
The only person he wasn't mad at was Simi. Simone. Simi, Sims. His kid sister who had always been able to come to him about anything. Who must feel so alone right now not having the support of her family. Well except Karlie. That was another road to anger wasn't it? He wondered how long she had known. How long they all had known before telling him.
Why had it been such a damn secret!
Didn't they know he just wanted to help her and protect her! Make her feel safe again! Of course he also wanted to invent new and imagainitive ways to torture and kill the people that did this to her. Back on the anger again. It was pooling inside of him, rising up so that he was almost drowning in it.
His vision was red with fury and he wanted to put his hands around someones neck, slowly choking the life out of them, putting the fear they had put into Simi only ten times worse. Hurting them ten times worse. Then he was going to wrap Simi in a warm blanket and pull her on his lap and just hold her until she felt safe again. She WOULD be safe again. He'd see to that. Right now though he couldn't see past the rage that was building inside of him.
Grabbing a face he slung it across the room, watching as it shattered into a million little pieces. He wondered if that's what Simi felt like right now. Broken. She was hurt, she was scared, but she wasn't broken. Is that why she couldn't tell him? She didn't think Bastian would love her anymore. He could never stop loving her or think less of her. He could honestly understand why Simi hadn't, but hadn't anyone else?
He looked around the room, his fists clenched, arms shaking at all the people who were supposed to be Simi's friends. HIS friends. Their FAMILY! "WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME!!"
Chey:
Why didn't she feel like she could move? The amount of emotions running through her little body made her feel almost heavy! Like she couldn't move even if she wanted to. She wished she could express the emotions her friends seemed to be expressing. Tess seemed to be the go-to girl right now, concentrating her energy on having a plan. And Bastian, well he seemed to be taking his problems out on Karlie's house. Hell she wished she could do that. Instead she just had this niggling feeling in the pit of her stomach that she didn't like. That told her the worst was still yet to come. The only thing she was wondering was what she hadn't heard anyone else ask yet. Why was Simi still alive? Why did every other girl die and not her? If she was meant to die then why didn't she? Chey's stomach seemed to be churning that thought around and throwing a nauseous feeling through her body that she was trying desperately to ignore. And it became easier to ignore as the sound of things shattering rang through the room once more. Chey had noticed the new comer. Attempting a smile at Jericho despite the fact she was dying to ask what he was doing there.
Chey:
As helpless as Chey felt, not being able to help Simi, she felt just as helpless watching Bastian. They could take away the people that hurt Simi but they couldn't take that night away. And because they couldn't take that away from Simi it'd probably be just as long before Bastian was able to cope. It was his baby sister, all the girls here had suffered baby sister syndrome. They knew that though it was annoying at times it was simply because their big brothers loved them, and that love meant that they'd do anything for you, and that when you suffered so did they. She watched as his eyes darted around the room and she noted the tremble in his arms. She searched her brain for words that would sooth and not make the situation worse.
And then his words hit her ears. Chey felt like her body took over for a moment, forcing her to step forward towards him as she started to speak. "That isn't fair Bas!!" She probably would have felt exactly the same way but it wasn't like THEY kept some big secret. "We didn't know. We found out just before you did and I was about to call when you walked through the door! So don't shout at us and don't try and blame us just because you're looking for someone to be angry at!"
Okay granted probably not the best thing to say, yet it was true!
They weren't in the wrong there. The only person that really kept it from him was Simi and Chey was sure if she said that she'd end up getting the same treatment as the dry wall or the vase! And well then there was Karlie, Chey doubted very much that the fact Simi made her swear was enough of a reason in Bastian's eyes but the poor girl had looked tonight like she really didn't need to be beaten down anymore.
Jessie:
From the doorwell of the living room, Jessie crossed her arms in front of her and watched Bastain rage. Taking a deep breath, she turned to Jericho and meet his eyes before quietly filling him on the events of the afternoon, starting with the call and working on up to the email and the nasty implications it left. She knew that the other hunter had grown up with the Blairs and had no doubt known Simi since she'd been in diapers. If there was anyone capable of helping Bastian maintain a level head barring Chey.. It was Jericho.
From what I gather, Simi swore Karlie to secrecy and has been holding this all to herself. The email this afternoon was the final straw and Karlie knew she needed help..
"God, Jericho.. the pictures... " she finished with a shudder before closing her eyes and trying to pull her own self back together.
When she finally opened her eyes, it was with a plea in them. "We can't go off half cocked about this. Simi needs us to think and not just react... I have a feeling that this is what she was scared of and why she didn't want anyones to know... She loves Bastian to much to endanger him...."
Jericho:
"Jesus Christ..." Rubbing at the back of his neck, Jericho looked at a loss of what to say. When he'd stormed over here, intent on dragging Jessie out by her hair to...hell, he had no idea- he was torn between making wild, monkey love, or shaking her until her head popped off- this was the last 'emergency' that he'd been expecting. Little Simi Blair, the girl who followed her brother around like a baby duckling...God, how could such a horrible thing have happened to such a sweet girl?
He could definitely understand why Bastian was pitching a fit.
If anything had happened to his twin...man, there was a reason why people liked to call rage 'going off the deep end.' Once they found who was responsible for hurting Simi, he was going to help her brother drown the mother in the deepest goddamn end they could find.
Absently, his hand drifted up from his neck to rub at his throbbing eyes. He'd pushed it, when he'd drove in the dark to get here. All of that previous anger toward Jessie and their 'situation' disappeared, when he came up beside her to see Bastian destroying something. He hoped that hadn't been one of Karlie's family heirlooms...
Instinctively, he took a step in front of Jessie, eyes on his childhood friend. Chey was trying to talk him down, but that didn't look like it was going to be working...and what Jessie said was right. Going off half cocked would get them all killed. First rule of war, baby; keep a clear head.
"Just stay right there, alright? Bastian," With a look that practically screamed 'listen to me, this time' at Jessie, the Hunter took a step toward Bastian, his hands loose at his sides. "Just calm down, alright? Listen to Chey; your sister probably asked this to be kept a secret because she didn't want you to hurt as much as she does. What we need to do is calm down, and think of a plan of action, okay? We need to think about Simi first, and us yelling at each other ain't gonna help things."
He paused, a grim expression coming onto his face. "Now, let's talk about who's fault this really is, and how we can skin them alive. Alright?"
Bastian:
When Jericho spoke it seemed like it was far away. He spoke gently like, keeping his hands loose, showing he was no threat. The words echoed off Bastian's brain and all he could seem to make out was we need to think of Simi first. "Who the hell do you think I'm thinking about! Do you KNOW what they did to her!" In all honesty it was probably a good thing that Jericho had stepped in otherwise Bastian's words would have been aimed at Chey. He didn't want to hurt her. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that, but he was reeling. The world was not right.
It was like a night terror he couldn't wake from up, and oh god did he want to wake up. He wanted to see his sister smiling and happy. Had she smiled since it happened? When had it happened? Who the hell had done it? He'd been so busy letting the anger overtake him that these were pivotal questions he hadn't asked. The rest of what Jericho said sunk in. Finding out who's fault it was. Yeah, Bastian could do that. When he found them though, he was going to do more than skin them alive.
Squeezing his eyes shut, Bastian took slow, deep breaths, until he was able to unclench his fists. The fury and rage was still coursing through him, but he could control it. He was going to channel it into finding the people who hurt his sister.
Swallowing thickly Bastian opened his eyes and looked at Jericho. "Yeah, finding out who did this sounds like a damn good plan." His voice was calmer, but the threads of anger were still wound in his words. "First, I need to see Simi."
