EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE It was a dark and stormy night…
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t. Maybe the sky was dark blue as a kid’s color book, the air was crisp and cool, and the sounds of happy laughter wafted on the heels of the slow trickle of traffic. Maybe people were smiling at one another, the setting sun was warming wind chilled faces, and the smell of Cajun food haunted the senses.
Well, GODDAMMIT, it should have been a frikken dark and stormy ass night. Hades’ balls, if he had to swallow anymore of this ‘lovey dovey’ crap, his shriveled up little heart might explode in his chest. What was it about this time of year that made people so…so…happy?
Ugh. It was enough to make any sane, black souled piece of sarcastic crap want to vomit. And, given that he was the King of all those lovely people, it was safe to assume that he was just about ready to start smashing faces.
Then again, public spectacles just weren’t this thing, anymore. Living most of his ‘mortal’ life as a monkey with a sword, existing solely for the homicidal pleasure of his fellow Romans…well, it was a give-in why he liked his solitude. And why his temper was so goddamn touchy, especially with all the happiness floating around. God, did those two just KISS? Ugh. Shoot him in the face.
Moving easily down the sidewalk, his face set in its normal black scowl, Tyreese Gla’dour- supposedly also known as ‘Ty, the Angry Head of Security Guy…’ but that was until he knocked some jackass subordinate’s teeth in- made his way around the winding line headed for Wicked’s doors. Parting like some kind of scantily clad Red Sea, the would-be dancers instinctively moved out of the large man’s way, and with a clipped nod at the bouncers at the door, he crossed the threshold…
And winced. God, he’d never understand this latest generation’s taste in music. Sure, it made him sound old, and with the normal disposition he had, all that loud guitar should be beautiful to his ears…but hell if he didn’t get a headache every time that crap got too loud.
Casting an eye on the crowd as he wadded through, he caught a few usual faces dressed in black milling about the room. Good, security was already scoping out the edges, and a quick glance up showed cameras being tested. He didn’t smell any fights coming on- aw, too bad- nobody was palming the bartender’s tips and…yeah. Seemed like a good beginning to the night.
Now, if only that fact didn’t make his skin feel too tight, and a drum beat to start up in his head. He needed a fight; needed some kind of…release, or he was going to freaking explode. He caught sight of Lexi James, the owner of the club and a long time friend, and resisted the urge to stomp over and demand that she point out some stupid fucker that she'd let him beat on. He was an adult, an OLD ass adult, and resorting to whining to mommy just wasn't in his vocabulary, man!
'Dammit, I really wanna bust some heads' definitely was, however. Leaning back against the bar, the bouncer surveyed the crowd with irritated eyes, as if begging for someone stupid enough to make a mistake.
Any mistake.

Let the Bodies hit the floor.
That was the mental refrain that ran round and round in Chloe's head as she sank the silver blade into the creature before her and heard the roar of anger that was expelled from supernatural lungs. As the light dimmed in the Gjinns eyes and the corpse dropped to the floor of the old abandoned warehouse.
"Next time.. You might wanna look that gift horse in the mouth, ass munch..." she hissed, twirling her blade in hand and then leaning down to wiped the metal off on the evil dead's shirt. "A free ride or meal is always something to be cautious of.. If it seems to good to be true?? It usually is....But then.... I guess there won't be a next time for you, will there?"
Pushing herself back to her feet, Chloe Reynolds glanced around the huge loft and sighed. Several corpses hung from old gas lines running along the ceiling but only two of them looked as if they might have any life left in them.
Hurrying over to the figure of a young woman, the dark haired huntress checked for a pulse and was surprised to find a steady if faint beat. After a moment of mental debate, she pulled out her cell phone and flipped it open. Thank GOD for Curse and his advanced technology that allowed for untraceable cell calls.
"Yes, hello... I'd like to report a disturbance.... 11935 West Peir Avenue... I heard what sounded like a woman screaming and things being knocked over... I think you better hurry!" she said when the operator came on the emergency line. When the same person asked her name, she clicked the device off and stored it in the back pocket of her jeans.
Then, she glanced towards where the gjinn was already decomposing and got the hell out of dodge. No need getting caught in the den of a serial killer, right?? Right. Her work, for the moment, was done.
Good guys one... Bad guys Zero. All in a days work. To bad the pay was shit and she was quiet certain something worse lurked just around the corner.
Damn. She needed a stiff drink and a shot of something tall, dark and dangerous to wipe away the memory of that poor girls decimated body. A hot and heavy round of bedroom dancing might just be the ticket for what ailed her this evening and Chloe thought she just might know the place to find it.
Which was why, two hours later after taking a nice long hot shower, she was standing in the doorway of WICKED. Dressed a in a short black leather mini, a crimson halter top with black skulls playing peekaboo through the lace of the bodice, and knee high boots, she grinned and strolled through the press of bodies that were already getting their jive on. The music that jetted out of the loud speakers was ambrosia to her ears and instantly made her body loosen up.
God, there was nothing like the sound of a hard bass rockin the joint and a beat that made a girl wanna move her body on the floor. After a long day hunting the sort of creatures she did, it was like a breath of fresh air.
One she desperately needed.
Now all she needed was a drink and the feel of a hard body pressed against hers. Something to wash away the memory of another that haunted her mind like a bad migraine.
Heading to the bar, she ordered a Jack double and tossed it back without a second thought. Round two was savored just a tad more and then the boy next door laughingly invited her out on the dance floor. Agreeing just because she was in the mood to get a little loud, she allowed him to pull her body on to the deck and was pleasantly surprised to find that he was a passingly decent dancer. He knew just the right moves to make it interesting but not enough to keep her complete attention as she swayed and ground her body with the crowd.
The glimpse of a familiar face glowering down at the crowd made her grin and as their eyes met, Chloe evilly gave Tyreese Gla'Dour a wave. The narrowing of his gaze made her laugh and she threw her head back in wicked glee. Moving her body even more seductively against her partner, she deliberately keep her gaze locked to his for longer than necessary.
Damn, the man still was smexy with his "Piss me off and I'll eat your guts for breakfast" sort of way that only he could pull off. To bad he still seemed to think she was some sort of kid to be stuffed into a closet and locked away for her own good. What she wouldn't give to have a taste of that hard muscle under her.
He was the embodiment of her every weakness and Chloe had a feeling that the glowering bouncer had shaped her definition of the perfect man since she and Jessie had first clapped eyes on him at the tender age of 18. One look at the ultimate bad boy and she'd measured every other man she'd dated against him.
And all had fallen short. Mores the pity.
The man himself would probably just assume eat her than be the featured flavor of her every fantasy. No pun intended on the first part either.
Damn the man.
Realizing where her train of thought was going, Chloe felt a frown flutter over her lips and jerked her gaze away from the menacing tower of danger. Without a word of apology to her partner, she suddenly pulled away and began to work her way through the crowd. She needed another drink, damn it and she was going to have one. She wasn't 18 any longer so she had no fear that Ty would try to eject her again but she could still feel the heat of his gaze on her back. It made her edgy and volatile enough to spontaneously combust.
Reaching the bar, she waved at the help and ordered a shot. When it was brought, she grabbed the bottle right out of the dudes hand.
"On second thought?? I'll just take this... I have a feeling I'm going to need it......"

EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESEGodsdamn, he really hated when he got like this, Ty thought with a sigh. It was as if his entire body was vibrating with the need to move, to act, to do something that wasn’t standing around with his thumb up his ass. Maybe it was the result of most of his human life being stuck in a ring, having to fight for his life? Or the fact that, for the rest of his currently unnatural life, he’d been relegated to running from hunters and kicking the shit out of the people who annoyed him? Either way, he was just about ready to start a fight himself, before he exploded into a million skinwalker pieces. Gah, he needed a drink. Would his boss let him have a drink? Probably not; he got even angrier when he was buzzed, than when he wasn’t. It was as if being happy or relaxed wasn’t in his genetic makeup… With a very unhappy expression on his face, Ty scanned the crowds, mentally begging for an altercation to start. He saw a few potentials; a gang of guys eyeing a few taken girls, and an obviously drunken biker off in the corner, eyeing the same pairs of boobs and booties…but shit, he couldn’t act without provocation. It just wasn’t in the code. So, call him the happiest fucker on the PLANET when someone made the mistake of bumping into his ass. A savage smile slid onto his face as he looked down at the poor schmuck, eyes blazing with the need to hurt— And then he made the mistake of glancing over the moron’s shoulder and locking eyes with a very familiar set of baby browns. Nah crap, Hurricane Chloe Reynolds had hit Wicked. And there he was, without his flack jacket and club. Forgetting about the need to hurt something for the moment, he leaned against the bar and crossed his arms over his chest. He’d known the girl for a long time; ever since she and Jessie had barged into his life one fateful day. She was a wild thing, he remembered, with a carefree smile and a devil-may-care outlook on life. He envied that about her, if he had to be truthful with himself, and he always had been. Her freedom, her joy…man, it’d been a long time since he’d felt anything like that. Which was probably why he never minded being around her, though he never let her know it. Nor the fact that seeing that flirty little smile was giving him tingles in places that should have no tingles. Scowling, he gave her his darkest glare, but as always, it didn’t effect her. Bah, it was like that with all the girls who knew Lexi; Jessie, Tessa, YaYa, Chloe. It was like they saw him as a friggin’ teddy bear, or something; not the bloodthirsty monster that he really was. Yeah. None of this was helping his current mood. Not at fucking all. ”Well, at least you didn’t take the bartender’s hand off this time,” He drawled over the music. She was a few stools down from where he was, but the people between them had disappeared; probably after seeing his scowl directed their way. ”So what was wrong with the guy you were dancing with? Was he too grabby? I thought you liked ‘em handsy.”

Sometimes Chloe even wondered if she had some kind of death wish. As that deep, gravelly voice broke through the normal noise of the rowdy night club, the petite beauty stopped with her shot glass raised half to her lips. Oh, it wasn't that she was surprised to find him there, just down the bar from her. She'd felt the air practically crackle with his sinister energy but ... like usual... she'd intentionally ignored the warning bells that everyone else has seemed to heed.
After all... He didn't scare her.
MUCH.
And definitely not for the reasons he scared every other punk in the place. He could give her that look all he wanted but for all his bad ass self... She had his number. She'd had his number since that first night. For all that the head bouncer wanted the world to believe that he'd just assume kill anyone or anything that looked at him funny... There were some lines he wouldn't cross. Granted, they were few and far between but once you lit on his radar as friend or family... It was like getting a "Get out of Jail Free" pass to your own funeral.
Somehow.. and Chloe could only figure it was the fact she was Jessie's cousin... She'd gotten lucky enough to be on that very... VERY.. small list. Even if she suspected that he wanted to trottle her as often as not.
Smiling to herself a bit at that thought, Chloe shifted slowly so that her whole body faced the muscle bound bouncer and she let and intentionally sultry look settle on her face. Licking her lips a bit, she lifted dark eyes and smirked at him.
"Well, Well... If it isn't Mister Cueball.....How've you been, Ty?? Still scaring the kiddies? Never mind.. don't answer that one.. I can see it for myself." she drawled back at him irreverently. "I'll have you know.... I never bite the hand that pours the drink.....I save that for more worthy moments...."
Arching a dark eyebrow upwards, Chloe let the suggestive words hang in the air between them for a moment. The huntress knew she was playing with fire but she'd never been the bashful sort and the edge of danger made her feel alive. After the week she'd had and the afternoon she had just spent, she felt the insane need to rock the boat and throw caution to the wind. It was a need that never failed to plague her whenever she felt like the world had changed the rules on her and she'd lost control of things around her. It was the need to feel something besides world weary and disgusted by the very thing she fought for.
And when faced with her ultimate temptation?? What was a poor girl to do?? She was only human after all.
Turning her dark gaze away from the skinwalker, Chloe glanced out over the floor and shifted so she could face the whole room. As her skirt rode up a bit, she played with the Skull and Bones choker she wore absently.
"As far as my dance partner... I suppose he was all right. He seemed nice enough but we all know nice isn't really my style. I'm not exactly the poster girl for a normal well developed young lady and that sort of guy..... Eh, he just bored me. Call me crazy but when I decide to take a man to my bed... He's going to be a man and not a boy who needs lessons."
Lifting her glass back to her lips, the huntress tossed the liquor back. Her words weren't anything that she hadn't said a million times before but they suddenly made her feel old and jaded. Damn, she needed to find something to do to burn off this damned black cloud floating over her head. The sooner the better.
"How about you, Cue Ball? I'm assuming from your cranky ass glower earlier that you still haven't found anything you were looking for either. You know, it wouldn't kill you if you actually smiled once in awhile... Your face wont crack or anything.... " she said a bit less snarkily before catching sight of Lexi looking over at them and waving. "And you can quit that glowering at me any time... Mrs. James is looking and I don't want her thinking I'm hassling you or something... Even if I am...."
Giving him a wicked grin, the dark haired young woman covertly let her eyes watch him and seemingly of their own accord... They checked for any fresh injuries or marks. And breathed a sigh of relief when there didn't seem to be any. Not that she really cared or anything... After all, it wasn't any of her business if Ty got into it with some hunter right? Right.

EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESEAnd while Chloe wondered if she had a death wish, Ty wondered if he had some kind of neon sign hanging above his head, reading ‘Annoy Me; I Really Love That!’ While the woman began to smirk that sultry smirk and reply to his growled statement in that familiarly taunting way, he managed a covert glance up at the space above the bar. ’Get Him For Free If You Ring His Gong!’Oh, the humanity... With a decidedly martyred sigh being lost under the loud metallic whine of the club’s ‘music,’ Ty forced himself to turn his focus back to Chloe. Had the woman even really grown up, he wondered? For a second, he let the sixteen year old hellion version of herself stand right up next to the current model…and damn, but she really hadn’t changed in all that time. She was still smiling that little smile, and her body moved in the same damn way that never failed to make him shift a bit uneasily. Then there was that damned mischievous twinkle in her eyes; the one that promised all kinds of fun times, if he’d just let down his guard and give in. Even when she was a child, he’d had to keep his distance from that spark. It was something he’d lost a long, long time ago, and the sight of it was…alluring, to say the least. He wanted to remember what it felt like to look at the world in complete defiance; to be able to take on anything and everything with a wide smile. His entire ‘I’ma kick the SHIT outta you’ façade was just that; an act. He’d long ago given up trying to fight, instead just allowing himself to drift along. Sure, he beat the shit out of people for giggles, but that was just because he was pissed off. Not because he had a purpose. But Chloe, here? Little Chloe Reynolds with the quick temper and acidic wit? She had something in her; something worthwhile, worth protecting. And it drew him in like a fly to sugar. It always had. …Not that he’d EVER allow himself to admit it, but there it was. The truth, bitch slapping him in the face a-fucking-gain. As if he didn’t already have enough problems with certain ‘appetites’ of his… Wincing at the Cueball remark- Gods, was it really that strange to like the smooth head look? Seriously…him, with an afro…just imagine it- Ty forced himself to remain where he was and gritted his teeth against the urge to turn about face and march away. He was immediately regretting talking to her at all, and inwardly flinched at every single innuendo that she threw his way. Because baby, he wanted to react to them, and that was just WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong…perverted, because she was still about a billion years younger than him, and…gah, did he mention wrong? Crossing his arms over his chest as if to create a shield against that fucking allure, he leaned back against the bar and rolled his eyes. ”Jesus, Chloe; not everything’s about sex, y’know? You could just…I dunno…dance with someone, rather than planning on how you’re gonna fuck ‘em in the bathroom in ten minutes?”He knew that her reaction wasn’t going to be a pretty one, and he almost welcomed her cutting response. Something nasty would sure as hell shove him out of this…weird ass thought-path he was in, and get him back to reality. Glancing over at Lexi, he gave her speculative glance a scowl before turning back to his current ‘problem.’ ”I don’t smile. Ever. You should know that by now. As for my ‘cranky ass,’ I’ve been lookin’ to crack some heads in for a fuckin’ hour now, and no good so far. Damn drunks are actually being polite to one another. It’s making me itchy.”

Ok, if there was one other thing that Ty could do faster than anyone else on the planet.. It was piss her off. His words were like a match to dry kindling and it instantly had her spine stiffening. Turning slowly, she gave him a look hot enough to burn a hole right through skin. Forcing herself to finish her drink before she opened her mouth, the dark haired huntress tipped the glass to her lips and belted the whiskey before carefully placing the tumbler on the counter. Then and only then did she push away from the wood.
"Your right... It ain't always about sex. But ... Tonight?? It is. I came here looking to get laid and thats what I mean to do..." she said brittlely, with an almost defiant tilt to her stubborn chin. "Unlike some people, not all of us have forever to get our kicks and I'm not about to waste what little time i have...."
As she spoke, a flicker of darkness raced over her face and for a moment she seemed to be seeing something entirely different than the club that blasted around them. It was quickly gone though and her infamous smile reappeared as if it had never left. The one that never failed to tell the world just what she thought of it and its rules. Only her eyes held any hint of the fear that had lingered there moments before.
"Have fun crackin those skulls, Ty. I hope it gives you whatever satisfaction it is your looking for..... and keeps your bed warm on those cold, lonely nights.... Of all the people I know... I hope you find some sort of happiness ... or at least peace.... "she finished in a strange tone that almost sounded as if she were saying more than her words indicated. Then, giving herself a hard shake, she stepped back from the counter and turned to melt into the crowd. "Take care of yourself, Gla'Dour."
Without a look back, Chloe forced herself to walk away before he saw more in her eyes than she wanted him too. If he didn't want her there was nothing more she could do about it and she had to much pride to throw herself at his feet. The best she could do was find a willing soul to help her stave off the feeling of doom that hovered over her senses like a bad hangover. A feeling that had been haunting her for some time now.
And time was running out. Her intuition never lied. The only thing she didn't quiet know was where or when. Death never liked to keep pesky things like appointments, after all.
"Why bother to take life so seriously anyways.... Nobody gets out alive, after all." she thought to herself as she made her way down the stairs to the dance floor.
On the way she caught the eye of a likely looking young man in leather who sported a lip piercing and some wicked looking tats and crooked her finger at him. When he smiled and stalked after her like a predator after a likely looking meal, she smirked and glanced upwards at where she left Ty and shrugged mentally when he was gone.
With a drastic effort, she pushed him from her mind and felt hands grab her hips even as her eyes closed and BUCKCHERRY's "EVERYTHING" blared out. The feel of a warm body to her back and music blaring so loud that it blocked everything else out was just what she needed at the moment and she let her body move in a deliberately provocative motion.
Reckless adrenaline and helpless desperation that she didn't recognize controlled her actions and barraged her mind. Fuck Ty and whatever he thought of her. Fuck the future and whatever it had in store for her short future. Fuck whatever rules the world thought she needed to obey. She was sick and tired of all its crap.
For Tonight....Tonight she just wanted to get lost in feeling alive.... To feel anything and everything that she could while she could. The rest of the world could go straight to hell if it really felt the need because she was officially off duty for the next twelve hours or so. If someone needed saving they were going to have to find their own salvation because this train had left the station.

EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE Yup, there it was; the explosive reaction he’d been waiting for. Her eyes seemed to spark and color crept onto her cheeks and suddenly, he had the urge to take a step away. Him, the big, bad skinwalker, actually felt a tad threatened by the little firecracker in front of him. But…for his ego’s sake, he’d acknowledge the fact that he’d seen her take down guys twice his size with one move. This was the reaction he’d wanted. He wanted her to leave angry; to hate him, stay away from him, stop fucking tempting him.
…And yet, there was that strange tightness in his chest that got stronger and stronger with each hurt word she spoke. Gods, but he really wished he’d stayed on his mountain.
It was the fear and certainty in her eyes that did him in, he’d realize later. When she’d told him that she’d come to the club looking for sex, there had been some definite blood drainage to a part of his body he’d previously thought only there for show. But when the conversation turned toward his finding happiness and all that other emotional crap…he knew something was up.
Something other than his frikken New Age tent flap. CHRIST.
Lexi was sending him all kinds of Bat-signals from across the room, but he ignored her with a curt shake of his head. He watched as Chloe moved off into the throng of dancers, getting herself lost in the sway of unfamiliar bodies. She looked so damn normal; her voice still had that cockiness and the way she moved was as sensual as ever. Hell, given the way she was throwing some ass-swaying in there, she was really making good on that ‘sex’ thing…but he could tell something was off. Her eyes looked different, and the way she talked…
It was almost as if she were saying goodbye. Had she seen something? Had those supernatural powers he’d heard Jessie mention given her some kind of premonition? Bad feeling? Dark JuJu?
”Fuck that shit,” He snarled, and in one crazy ass move that he knew he’d regret later on, proceeded to throw himself into the crowd. And none to gently.
Random men were shoved out of the way; practically picked up off the floor and moved aside like rag dolls. The security staff was looking stunned, seeing their boss being the one responsible for the freight train mowing down the people in front of them and the people themselves looked down right terrified. Usually, he did his best to keep all that skinwalker strength to himself; try to blend in with the other muscle bound guys, and what said muscle bound guys could do. But then, with his brain on the fritz and other parts of him waking up with loud ass ‘hurray’s!’…hell, he didn’t know what he was doing. Or why he was doing it.
Or…how he ended up on the dance floor right smack behind Chloe and, before she could notice he was there, snagged an arm around her waist to pull her against his front.
This was ten counts of crazy, his common sense screamed. He’d known her since she was a KID, man. Some skinny, happy-go-lucky 14 year old right smack out of puberty and into the ‘ooh, he’s cute’ phase. Then there was always his not being completely human, the psychotic voice in the back of his head that’s always screaming ‘KILL, KILL,’ and, oh yeah, the fact that she was a freaking CHILD compared to him!
But he didn’t care. That look in her eyes and the way she said goodbye…it made his chest hurt and his brain shut down, and hell if he didn’t have to move on over to her and sway her to the music, leaning down until his cheek was next to her ear.
”Don’t you ever talk to me like that again,” He said, his voice a dark growl. ”Me? Happy? It’ll never happen. Now…since you’d rather come here than stay at the bar to talk to me…why the fuck are you saying goodbye?”

The rhythm is gonna getcha. That was what that old song said and for Chloe...It was like the pied piper on steriods. The lure of a good thumping bass was magical in the way it made her body want to move along with the tune.
Closing her eyes and getting lost to the beat was her one addiction and it was really no wonder that she didn't see the tall mountain of muscle heading her way. WICKED was home to some of the toughest sons of bitchs on the planet so the sounds of scuffles and raised voices was nothing new in the huntresses determination.
Her companion for the night, however, had a different opinion.
The moment he'd caught sight of the skinheaded master of terror, he'd beat a hasty path off the floor and away from the young woman who still stood swaying to the music. He might be young but he didn't need a translator to identify the looking of possession on the dude's face and everyone had heard about the LAST guy that pissed him off. He liked his head... and other body parts.. right where they were, thank you very much! No offense to the babe but... she wasn't worth dying for. At least, not to him!
Lost in her own little world, Chloe wasn't at first aware of what cause the stir around her but when a hot, hard body angled its way against her back, she froze in place. She didn't need to be a rocket scientist to know just who it was that wrapped on arm around her middle and pulled her back against a chest that was rock solid. The energy sparks alone that danced off their connected skin was enough to tell her who it was but she'd recognize his scent anywhere. It was wild, dangerous and pure male.
Good God, Ty was on the dance floor?? Had HELL frozen over? It was enough to open her eyes and have her looking for whatever disaster was befalling the club.
And then he lowered his lips next to her ear and her body went rigged. Forget the pleasure of him holding her like this. Forget the sensation of his body against hers. Forget the fact that he'd done the very thing he always declared he hated by following her out on the floor. He'd dropped the one loaded question that she had no desire to answer and all the good intentions she'd had moments before fled onslaught of tension.
God, she was going to die and he suddenly wanted to TALK about it? Why couldn't he just leave it alone like any other normal man would? What was she suppose to say? "Oh, I've had premonitions of my own death so I thought I'd say goodbye while I had the chance and tell you to have a happy life!" Yeah, right... He'd probably convince Lexi to lock her in a padded cell or do it himself for her "own damned protection". No matter how much she wanted to melt back into his strong arms and let him carry her weight for awhile... It wasn't going to be happening. No one could stop fate and Chloe had long ago learned to keep her secrets to herself.
So what did any independent, strong willed young woman do when faced with an immovable force? Why, she went straight on the offensive, thats what she did. It was what she was good at, after all.
Jerking free of his arms, Chloe whirled about and gave him a look that could very well have slayed a mortal man. Ty, however, looked completely unconcerned and she raised a finger to poke him in the chest. With a mean hiss, she stood on her tiptoes and let him know just how scared she was of his badass self.
"God Damn it, Ty!! What the FUCK are you doing?? Trying to ruin my night? Can't you see I'm trying to get a bit of action here? What are you? Some kind of fun patrol?? Your not my brother.. Your not my father.. and you damn sure ain't my lover, of your own accord, so what the hell?? Is this payback for all those times I tormented you as a kid?? It was as much Jessie's fault as my own and you damned well know it. Why don't you find some corner to glower in and leave me the hell alone!!"
That said, Chloe whirled back around again and started to storm off. Several of the party goers had turned to watch them and a path cleared in front of her as she stalked off the dance floor. Anger and a wave of something resembling chagrin heated her skin and she wanted to hit something.
How DARE he ruin a perfectly good opportunity? Damn it, she needed to blow off some steam or she was going to explode. Since she doubted she could go another round with a baddie tonight, she'd thought a night on the town might do the trick. She should have known Ty would interfere. Damn it all to hell. He seemed bent on saving her from herself and all she wanted to do was live a little!
On some level, she knew her anger was inflated by the tension she'd been struggling with but Ty had become the focus of it all. How DARE he make her want something she couldn't have so bad that she ached inside? When was he going to see that she wasn't a fucking child anymore but a woman with desires and needs of a grown adult?
Obviously, not until she was dead, that was when. And if he did then!
It was enough to make her wanna scream. Or smack him. Or do deliciously naughty things to his body just to prove her point. God! Only Tyreese could make her want him while pissing her off at the same time. IT was a rare talent he had, that.
Feeling his heat right behind her and knowing he was stalking after her like the predator he was, the huntress sent him a nasty look over one shoulder and then headed for the back exit. IT was one that only employees and family knew of but Chloe needed a cigarette or something. Besides, if Ty wanted a fight, she suspected it would be better to do it out of sight of the fine patrons inside. After all, if she had to kick his ass a bit, she doubted he'd want witnesses.
Ha... as if.
Slamming the exit door back, the dark haired beauty stepped out into the back parking lot of the club and raised her face to the moonlight. A crisp breeze raced down the street in a midnight breeze and it cooled her heated skin even as the door rocked on its hinges behind her. Not even bothering to give her presuer a look, Chloe fumbled in her boot for the pack of cigarettes she kept for occasions just like this and pulled one out.
Only to discover she'd lost her lighter somewhere in teh milling crowd inside. Damn it all to hell.
"I don't want to talk about this, Gla'Dour. Just..... Just go away would you? Forget what I said and just leave it alone. Saying goodbye is a pesky mortal thing, all right? It... it wasn't important...."
