[tr][atrb=width,200] Reed Now to say things haven't been interesting for him the past few weeks would be an understatement. Since he had met this girl name Katie, things have been eventful and a curse had started to ravage threw the town he lived in... He thought he would be safe, but boy was he wrong. He started to get sick and could feel something changing... something wasn't right he could feel it in the pit of his stomach it sounded odd, but he knew he knew he was dying and it wouldn't be long before he did. He had to find her she had to know what to do. He didn't want to die not yet… He hoped in his car and drove over as quickly as possible… not caring not caring at all about speed limits. Most of his friends were already dead and in t ground… If he didn't find her he would be dead anyways so what would be the point of living and dying a brutal death like the other. He drove to where she was staying pounding on the door " KATIE. IT'S ME LET ME IN WE NEED TO TALK…NOW." Pounding hard against the wooden door. " KAAAAAAAATTTTTTTIEEEE" He yelled waiting for her to answer… "You have to be here." he whispered under his breath. Katie The little house Katherine's mother bought eighteen years ago practically shook as something began to bang against the door. The young girl jumped out of her skin as the knocking started and after the abuse she'd suffered lately, rightly so. But then a voice followed the sound of banging. "Reed?" A small whisper escaped her, her brows furrowing in confusion, until suddenly.... "REED!!" Her eyes grew wide and Katie ran as fast as she could towards the front of the house. Almost flying down the stairs on her way wasn't anything, she just got back to her feet and went to the door. She pulled the door open with nothing but concern in her eyes for him, that concern growing once she saw his face. "Are you okay?" Reed He didn't know what else to do except see her. If he was going to be next maybe she knew someway to stop it. She had to she had finally opened the door, and he sighed with relief. She had been home he didn't know what he would do if she wasn't he would probably have been dead before he found her if she wasn't here. She had asked him if he was okay and he shook his head no at her. He seemed a bit pale in the face.. " I am next Katie." he told her. " I am next." he repeated he was still in shock himself, but wanted to make sure that she heard him. " What are we going to do? " He asked. He didn't know what to do he was going crazy and felt like his head was on fire feeling so unwell.. " help me?" Katie Her face noticeably dropped as she heard the words 'I am next'. Her hand moved nervously to her face as she could have sworn her heart sank into the pit of her stomach. "This wasn't supposed to happen..." If she was honest, she knew she didn't mean it wasn't supposed to get Reed, she meant that she didn't want to care it got anyone. After a moment, Katie snapped back into life, standing back and holding her door open. "Come in." She closed the door as soon as he was in and moved her hand to her mouth, her teeth gripping the end of her thumb nail. Her eyes were closed and she took a deep breath. "Okay, you just need to keep calm okay. You're going to be okay." Her eyes opened and looked into his baby blues and her hand followed her gaze, resting gently on his cheek as she let out a short sigh of frustration. "I promise. I'm going to make you okay."

He tried to be nice to her when other didn't she was the only one he knew that could help. He thought he was too young to die. He had noticed her face drop at his words so it did hit her and registered that he was next. He wondered how much longer her had if she couldn't fix this. He was confused when she said it wasn't supposed to happen. " It wasn't?" he arched a brow and coughed a little feeling really cold when his skull was on fire. She had told him to come in and he did moving slowly into the house. Reed really was freaking on the inside.. he didn't know what else to do. He watched her as she brought her hand to her face and her eyes closed as if she was thinking and it actually looked rather cute. She had then told him that he had to keep calm and that everything would be okay. His eyes searched hers to see if she meant that, but he couldn't tell. Was she being truthful or was it a lie to comfort him. She had rested a hand on his cheek and he couldn't help, but to nuzzle into it and put his hand over hers. She seemed to be a little distressed, and she was really sexy when she was all mad, but he would not say anything and tried to relax like she told him to. " What are we going to do, Katie?" he asked softly. Katie Katie wasn't sure how to admit this feeling she felt inside, she wasn't even sure if she was allowed, if she wanted to. If it wasn't for the indication that her hand against his face brought him some comfort, she'd have moved it, but with his reaction? She just couldn't. "We're.... I'm going to fix this. I'm going to save you and end this for everyone." For a moment, her big sister's face flashed before her eyes and she remembered the sacrifice Jamie made but then to look at his face, the desperation in it.... She couldn't do this any more. It was over. She noticed her cousin peek out from behind the living room door, ignoring her and moving to snatch Reed's hand. "Come on... My Mom's book is upstairs."

[tr][atrb=width,200] Reed Reed felt some comfort with her hand on his cheek, and relaxed into her touch. She told him that she was going to end this for everyone, and that they are going to save him. He didn't know how just yet but he was thankful that they were going to save him. He didn't want to die like this not yet. He had been desperate for her help. He didn't even notice her cousin he was too captivated by her face, and she snatched his hand and told him to come on and that her mothers books were upstairs. He followed her upstairs. " Thank you for helping." He had told her he really was grateful, but he didn't know the price that would come with saving him. He knew the stories, the rumors, and what Katie has told him of the things, but he didn't know she may have to die to save them all.. He followed her to the room and followed her in to find those books. He couldn't help but think she was very pretty looking tonight and sat down with a sigh and tried to relax some. He didn't even still realize that her cousin was in the house and watched her look for the books. Katie She searched frantically for the book, allowing Reed to sit and try and relax. She wasn't sure if it was possible to relax in the place he was in but she also knew he had to. "Where the hell is it? It was here earlier....." There was a couch from the door way and Katie turned quickly to see her cousin holding the book in the door way. Diving towards it, she made a grab only to have it held above her head and be met with a chuckle. 'You're going to die for this loser? Really?' Growling under her breath, Katie snapped. "Give me the god damned book Lorna!!!"

He didn't know where it was. she looked and looked and he tried to relax, but couldn't he couldn't relax his head was on fire and thoughts of everything of the past was coming to haunt him. What he could have done different how he could be a better person. Everything... She said it was there earlier. Was all hope lost? Was he really going to die? She had then noticed someone with the book her cousin. He didn't know she was there at the house, but she was and she dived towards the girl. He didn't like feeling this helpless. Why did this have to happen. He wondered what he did to deserve this pain. He tried to get up it hurt so much.. "Give her the book." He knew that it wouldn't help much, he had stumbled back into the seat it. It was almost as if this was one of his worst nightmares come true. He slowly felt like he was dying.. A slow painful death. Reed whispered under his breath didn't know if she would hear it or whatnot, but he wanted this pain to end. "kill me, please before it gets me." he whispered real low his face was real pale. The pain was horrid. He didn't want to die like this. He waited for Katie to get the book so they could figure out how to end this. Katie Her eyes narrowed at Lorna for a moment before she turned and slowly walked towards Reed, crouching down before him she looked dead set into his eyes. "Stop. It's not going to get you. It's psychological. All in your head. If you believe it isn't there, It wont be." Leaning up, Katie then did the boldest thing she'd done, especially with a boy. She moved her lips to his, kissing him gently as though her kiss could take the pain away. She knew that really, it couldn't. Only her death could. With that, it was like those seconds of calm she'd introduced to the room were gone for her, and she went back to her cousin, taking the book. "I'm doing this! I have to!" 'What was the point of doing all this if you were just going to end it, Kit?' "This was never the plan! Never the 'point'!! But I have to!" 'Does he know? Does he know what you did? Does he know this was all because of you??'

She was telling him to stop it .." how?" he spoke to be answered by her moments later that it is all in his head and that it is psychological. He looked at her giving her a look that said 'are you sure?' kind of thing. He wanted to believe it he had to if that was all he had to do to get past this. He was actually shocked at what she did next. She had moved forward and kissed him in which he only returned it and relaxed into the kiss as if it were one of the most natural things in the world a pure distraction about what is going on. Moments later she had left to get the book he could hear their voices. Reed could only make out bits and pieces of the conversation. He was still a little in awe with that kiss. It did help him think of other things besides what was happening to him. If he knew it was her life to save his he wouldn't want her to end her own life. He edged forward a little to try to hear more what they were saying and caught the ' does he know this is all because of you' and that made his brows furrow in confusion. Did she really do this to him? Why would she? It had to be a lie right? "Katie, what's going on..." he asked from the couch. Katie Katie didn't even have a chance to respond before Lorna went off on one, heading towards Reed to tell him exactly what was going on. 'Jamie started this, I'm sure you knew that, the rest of this god forsaken town does.. But this wasn't Jamie's idea. It wasn't Jamie who started this... It was Katie! She found the book, she found the spell, she started ALL of this.' Quite content she'd caused enough damage, Lorna threw the book to the floor and sloped off. Lunging to grab it, Katie's eyes went to Reed for the moment. She couldn't look into his despite the fact she really wanted to. "I didn't care... I didn't care about anyone here... That's different now... That's why I'm going to fix it...." Heading across the room, Katie dropped the book to the floor and started pulling things out of a big wooden chest. She was going to help him, she couldn't let him die.

Reed just sat there a moment waiting for the words to process in his head. He couldn’t believe it. She did this to him. “ You did this, Please tell me that it’s not true.” he was shocked. She had told him how she didn’t care then but things were different now. “ I can’t believe you, Katie. What did I do to deserve this?” He didn’t know he was nothing but nice to her. “ Are you really going to fix this or are you yanking me around, Katie.” Reed didn’t know what to believe and watched her as she searched threw the wooden trunk. Reed had been sat there wondering what the heck was going on what was up, then Katie's cousin ran in and told him everything that it wasn't Jamie that started this all well it had been, but it had been Katie's Idea... Reed just sat there a moment waiting for the words to process in his head. He couldn't believe it. She did this to him. “ You did this, Please tell me that it's not true.” he was shocked. She had told him how she didn't care then but things were different now. “ I can't believe you, Katie. What did I do to deserve this?” He didn't know he was nothing but nice to her. “ Are you really going to fix this or are you yanking me around, Katie.” Reed didn't know what to believe and watched her as she searched threw the wooden trunk. Katie "IT WASN'T YOU." Katie fought to keep the tears in as she placed down the items in her hands. "I swear, it wasn't you. I didn't even know you. This town, the people in it. They deserved to pay. For what they did to us. They killed my mother. Everyone knew it, even the police knew it. We buried my mother and only four people turned up for the funeral. She did nothing wrong. She was a good person. You see all these flowers around town? My mother never got those. No one baked us a casserole or sent their condolences. I don't even remember my mom. But my sister remembers clearly the day we chose to leave town, the day someone spat on me. The day someone spat on a two year old child and called her devils spawn." It was clear from her voice that she'd been hurt by the whole thing so much, but as a shaky hand wiped the tears from her eyes, it was also clear she was just a scared little girl. "I don't yank. If I didn't want to help you, you'd already be dead." Turning, Katie pulled a small drawstring bag out of the chest, opening it to pull out a dagger, the same dagger her big sister used to end her life only a few days before.

Katie had said how it was the the people in this town. He knew the lot of them were fakes look what he had to do just to stay in the in crowd. He had to act like a jerk most of the time. He hated how things ran in this town if you talked to someone labeled as nothing you were then labeled as that. Stupid clicks. As she continues to speak his heart sank more and more into his stomach. She didn't deserve any of that treatment how horrible could these people be it was horrid. " I am sorry, Katie. you didn't deserve that." he had told her and got up form where he sat. She had told him if she wanted him dead he would have been. That she wasn't yanking him. He walked closer to her, she had pulled out a dagger and some other things. He pulled her into a hug, and stroked her cheek where the tears had fallen. She may not have wanted him to see, but he had seen her wipe them away. " I am sorry for what they did to you and your mother didn't deserve it." he had said holding her close and looking at the dagger. " What are you going to do with that?" He asked curiously, but it was probably a stupid question. She would do what her sister and everyone else did to start and stop the curse..he didn't know that was how things worked. Katie Katie wanted to cling to him. She wanted to hold on and never let go. She wanted to be weak and give herself into him. But Katie knew she couldn't do any of these things. If for no other reason, if she did she was practically writing his death certificate. She let herself give into weakness briefly, holding her body into him. That was until he asked about the knife. Pulling back, she notability sniffed and took a deep breath. "What this?" She said, flipping her hand so it swung slightly. "I'm going to die with this." A hard, determined lump in her throat was forced down as Katie started to search through her book for the spell she needed, the tears now streaming down her face. She wasn't sure if it was even death she was scared of anymore as much as the reason's she was so willing to go that far.

It was how his stepfather worked. He tried to console her the best that he could. Lots had shiown to his mothers, but hell she was the wife of the mayor after all and their family had a place in the towns royalty. Her mother and herself didn't deserve to be treated the way they were. What idiots this town is filed with sometimes he wished he could just runaway from it and right now he was getting that urge in the gut. His heart sank more as she told him that she was going to die with that knife. He swallowed the hard lump that had formed in his throat. She couldn't that couldn't be the answer there had to be another way.." NO KATIE..." He said it was more like a plee then anything. She could try to have a life outside of this town start over where no one knows her if her plan to for the town went threw. She deserved a life and maybe he did deserve to die with it. He had been a part of this. " You can't” Katie She stopped on the page she was on, gently reaching out her hand to stroke Reed's face. God those eyes has such a lethal potential. Her heart was beating like crazy but she knew, she knew what had to be done. "I have to. It'll end the curse. It's the only way to end the curse." She nodded her head, hoping he would take that and let her do it but she had a distinct feeling he wouldn't. Looking down, something on the page she was on caught her eye, her brows furrowing and her head moving closer to the page as if doing so would make them change. Suddenly she burst out, a huge gasp of tears leaving her. She muttered an oh my god under her breath as she cried, looking up to the ceiling and breathing in a slow breath. She was begging the tears to stop. To let her at least pretend to be strong. More determined than ever, Katie started to flip through the pages trying to find the curse her sister used that night.

He didn't want to take her dying as an answer. " NO!" he said as she had stroked his face, his eyes staring at her as if pleading with her to tell him that there was another way. There had to be another way. There just has to be. " I can't let you do that. " he said . " I shouldn't have come. If i knew this was the price I wouldn't have come.." he murmured. He himself was trying not to break down himself. She didn't deserve to die. She did this because of all the torment she had gotten by the people who deserved what they had coming to them for treating her and the others so unfairly. "Katie there has to be another way. Please tell me there is another way," he didn't like this at all. Katie had started to cry again and he pulled her closer as if he was hanging on for dear life and this was the last time he was going to see her. She had then started flipping threw the pages again. He didn't want to let her go threw with this. It wasn't fair. When was life ever fair though. He know very well life isn't fair. Look at the ass he has to put up with at home. Oh how he wished he could make him die a more painful death then anyone could wish upon some one. " Katie if that is the price... let me die.." He said trying to be brave even if he wasn't and was scared shitless of dying.. who ever was prepared to die.. Katie was being brave if she was prepared for it.. Katie "There's only one other way, Reed, and you'll hate me for it." The contents of the book were starting to blur, the tears in her eyes making her vision slightly distorted. "I have to find this curse. Like she said, I started this. I deserve to die." Turning her head up to kiss his cheek, her eyes closed for a moment as she breathed him in. He smelled so good she could barely stand it, but she had to. She turned quickly back to her book, trying to block him out and turned the page. "No.... NO NO NO..." Flipping the pages frantically before flipping them back, Katie ran her finger across the torn edge of paper. "She took it... Lorna took it." Rubbing her finger hard against her forehead, Katie closed her eyes again. "I don't remember it... I don't remember any of it."

He just wanted to keep her close and he didn't like the idea of her dying. By him saying to let himself die must show that he cares for you. She told him that she had to find the curse, she started it and that she deserves to die. " You don't. Some would blame you and say you do, but you don't.. you didn't deserve any of the torment that you got. You didn't deserve any of it." He was trying to stay calm and not freak out at her. She felt so comfortable in his arms at least he liked it, she had turned back to the book and was flipping threw it frantically and the pages were gone and she was freaking out at it frantically flipping the pages back and forth telling him she doesn't remember any of it. " What don't you remember the other way or something else." He didn't know it was specifically the curse page that was missing but with the frantic searching and the no's he knew something was wrong. He eyed her, he couldn't help but stare she was so beautiful. It was wrong of him to think in this matter, but he couldn't help it. " What wrong, Katie." Katie "No. The spell I need to reverse it is gone." Taking a deep breath she turned to look him straight in the eyes. "The other way, is running. Leaving town and never coming back." It seemed to simple, so easy. "But that means that anyone in this town will die. Anyone who ever enters this town again will die. Misery will eventually drop off the map. If I don't stop this, then for the rest of time, this place will be a literal death trap."
