The summer was just around the corner, a season for any pyrokinetic to hate, get irritated and that meant a possible problem but for what it said, she would really have to get there, this wasn’t an animal attack, it was a hunters case, through and through.
As always and as a force of habit she took the room closest to the fire stair in case of trouble, on the first or second floor, an easy escape. It had been a long trip since Rhode Island and Emily needed to take at least an hour to relax before jumping to the case.
Research wasn’t as long surprisingly, it was what she was thinking and she’d have almost 2 days to find it.. it would be like finding a needle on a haystack but there were a few lines to draw between events to find a werewolf, again, if she was right, of course. There was little problem though and it was the silver bullets, she had none and it was a real pain in the ass, she didn’t have a long silver stake either; all she had was this tiny –and stolen, silver knife, it would take all of her defense techniques abilities and a little miracle to get this close to the creature and walk out without a scratch or bite.
Emily looked at the knife in question as she played with it in her hands and prayed for it to work; the supposedly werewolf was a 56 year old woman attacked and bitten a month before Emily’s arrival to the city and she was the only one in the state with a reported attack and bitten mark on a full moon. The young witch/hunter’s insides twitched when she saw that the woman was a single grandparent raising a 6 year old kid but she knew that she had to be put down, it was a matter of time before the woman hurt the kid.
Emily followed her when the night arrived and waited patiently for anything really, just like the werewolf, Emily was on foot, she had to count the steps she was making, some creatures had heighten senses, like hearing, especially in a place like a cemetery, where the smallest of sound seemed like intensified by a 1.000.
Suddenly a branch being snapped made her turn around and as this took her off guard, so did the creature, who launched at her from behind, knocking her to the ground, making her forehead hit on a rock and create a cut, leaving her dizzy for a few moments, unable to move.

It was a clear night sky for a change. It was nice considering all of the storms and cloudy, muggy weather that had been passing through the area as of late. Stars shining bright and the full moon giving off a nice cast of light showing over the entire cemetary. A perfect night for a hunt.
Xhane came to the area on stories of a on the loose werewolf. Xhane didn't even bother researching who the person was, what their life was like, or whether they would be leaving anything behind. He didn't much care. What needed to be done needed to be done. Once bitten you can't control it. You can't go back to a normal life, whether you realize what you're doing three nights a month or not.
Crouched on a think branch in a tree was Xhane wearing the usual all black and a trench coat. His face was unaltered still by this point. He had tracked the werewolf to the cemetary and was merely waiting. He wanted to witness this creature doing something before killing it. This way he could justify his actions to himself to some degree. Realistically this was still a person, but part of him just didn't give a damn.
Xhane takes out a cigarette and his zippo. He places the cigarette between his lips and flips open the lid to the lighter. He rolls the wheel and the inside of the tree is lit up for a short moment by the flame flickering to life. He lights the end of his cigarette and closes the lid on the zippo extinguishing the flame. He places it back in his trench and takes a long drag.
About this point was when things began to happen. Xhane watched some blonde walk into the seemingly empty cemetary. he simply just shook his head. "Kids..." he simply thought to himself. Then from several yards off he noticed the werewolf finally making its move. Xhane readied himself. He'd been waiting long enough for some action, too bad some girl was going to get caught in the crossfire most likely.
Without any notice or warning the werewolf had the blonde on the ground bleeding from her forehead within seconds. With its victim down the werewolf seemed to begin to make it's move to go in for the kill. As it prepared to strike suddenly it stopped and came off it's stance a foot off the ground or so. Standing slightly behind the werewolf was Xhane with a firm grip on the back of its throat lifting it into the air. Xhane's eyes illuminating the air with a golden yellow glow and his face altered looking like some sadistic, hellish mime. "Bad move hairball." states Xhane.
With that the werewolf goes sailing into a tombstone head first. It scrambles to its feet with a similar gash in it's forehead. Completely enraged the werewolf lunges to attack. No finess and no thought as to its own well being. This was what set it apart from people. As the beast flies through the air at Xhane a small, silver dagger drops down from the end of his trench coat sleeve into his hand. As the werewolf meets Xhane the dagger goes smoothly through its flesh, between the ribs and into the heart.
With a scream of pain the werewolf drops to the ground withering in pain. Xhane takes a few steps toward it, standing over the fallen beast. He watched as the anger turned to fear in its eyes as it reverted back to human form. Xhane watched the life drain from the body emotionlessly. Some would see his composure as heartless. Xhane didn't quite see things the way others did, and why should he? Once he was sure the elderly female werewolf was dead and gone he bends down and rips his knife from its torso, wiping the blood on the body.
After replacing the weapon in his trench coat he turns to the blonde who obviously had been watching the show from the ground. Xhane slowly extends a hand toward the blonde as his face reverts to normal. "Are you ok?" asks Xhane. He hated it when normal people got caught in the middle of these things, but at the same time he could tell that she wasn't exactly normal either...

She knew that there was only one way to find out that the creature hadn’t bite her and she was listening to whatever voice they could possibly hear. On her hands and legs and moaning, Emily crawled away a few feet and laid on her elbows to look at the now flying werewolf into a tombstone head first.
The witch was about to say something to the man who had in honest words saved her life to be aware of the creature but as soon as she saw the knife falling from under his coat to his hand, she kept her mouth shut so the creature wouldn’t be aware of it either. Maybe she was seeing things but any human being would have at least stumbled at the werewolf coming right at you, this guy didn’t as if he would be in a weird sense stronger than it; Emily pushed the thought back, there was no way, every other creature would attack her, not ‘save’ her.
When the wolf was surely dead, Emily tried to get on her feet but only managed to seat barely, when the man turned around to face her, the light of the full moon reflected in his face, revealing something sort of hellish like, making Emily’s heart to race again, it only lasted a second and in a blink of an eye, his face was ‘normal’ and a hand was stretching at her to get up; Emily took it slowly, in her way up, she took the other hand to his elbow for more stability on the way up but she let go as soon as she was sure she could stand in her feet without falling again.
“Yes, yes, I am…”
Looked at him in the eyes and something inside her, deep in her witch soul told her that the ‘man’ in front of her was no man but that he wasn’t evil either. Took a hand to the forehead to wipe the blood a bit and closed her eyes in pain great, a headache, just what I needed, she thought; opened her eyes and blinked a few times.
“I should have known that it would try to distract me somehow… I was stupid to let the branch cracking distract me…”
Sighed deep and still taking her forehead in one hand, stretched the other

Xhane solemly stands there and listens to what the girl has to say. He emits no real reaction. Xhane hasn't had a whole lot of interaction with humans. maybe it's for the best. He just doesn't respond to certain instances or comments the same way most humans would and he just chooses to avoid the ackward situations if possible.
He hears her mention getting distracted and he raises an eyebrow at the idea of this little girl hunting a werewolf of all things. Xhane looks down for a moment and then back at the girl. Then the blonde introduces herself. Her name's Emily. How cdould she introduce herself to him after what she just saw? he thinks to himself. Xhane simply nods in acknowledgment of her introduction.
"Just be more careful...next time you might get killed..." His words trail off as almost completely heartless to this girl's cause and what she's trying to do. Sometimes it's just easier to be that way in the long run. Xhane learned a long time ago friends in this path of life just was not a good idea. He turns and begins to walk away from her. This was what he was good at. Leaving. Leaving before any real interaction can occur.
She seemed like she meant well and seemed like a sweet girl. She didn't need to take on this lifestyle. Then again, Xhane will never understand the human fortitude to "hunt" in the first place...

He turned around to walk away and Emily didn’t react for a few seconds, when she did, she hurried to get in front in front of him, putting a hand on his chest but the hurry to catch up with him made her dizzy. Closed her eyes and took her head in her hand as she talked to him despite the dizziness and headache.
”Hey! That was a bit rude don’t you think?”
Looked at her hand and the blood on it, she knew that head injuries were a bloodier than others but right now she had other things in mind; kept the hand pressing her forehead and kept on talking to him
” Can I at least know your name?”
Winced a bit at the pain the cut was giving her and looked around
”I’ve a right to know”
The witch/hunter was stubborn and she wouldn’t let him go, she stood in front of him just to make sure that he wouldn’t go anywhere.
