With a loud yawn Cypher noticed the nice collection of bones that covered his cars floor as he sat in the middle of his cars back seat. A subtle frown grew as the calm of his awakening was broken, The feeling was always their. Always craving for more, Always. Cypher leaned between the drivers and passengers seats grabbing a small brown bag in each hand. He sat back down with a thud causing the black four door Chevy Cobalt to rock for a few short seconds. He couldn’t help but notice the small parking complex was empty as his eyes scanned the rearview mirror watching a single young women with a child in arms make their way to a car. His dept of field grew foggy as he stopped looking from the women snapping his attention back to his own eyes in the mirror. They began to glow a placid hazel just bright enough to be noticeable if one looked close enough.
He slowly started to empty the entire content of one bag into his mouth, a small red droplet fell from the bag landed on his cheek. It was unmistakably blood. Wiping it the droplet from his cheek with a finger, Cypher licked it off his hand. Balling up and tossing each on bag aside. A particle of dust that brightly shined through the sunlight caught his attention so he watched it float around for about five minutes. He was in no rush to do anything, falling asleep in his car after a previous night of successful break in’s to the cities morgue. The skull by his feet a trophy of the exploits. Cypher slid through the center of the passenger and drivers seat taking his place behind the wheel. He knew he would have to clean up the mess sometime soon before heading out again. Starting his car Cypher watched the young women’s car leave quickly.
Rounding up the bones along with all other trash he set them all in a body bag that he had stolen with the body. Driving by a dumpster Cypher tossed the remains inside before lighting it’s Contents on fire. Sure, he was an animal but he knew the facts. Mistreated bones often left a ‘haunting scar’ on the places they were left so he salted and torched them happily. His hunger was satisfied for now at least, he had slipped. Like an alcoholic who cheated while in ‘AA’, His skin was burning as his transformation was halted by sheer force of will. His sharp teeth shrinking back to normal as the talons on his hand reverted to plan nails. The bloody ritual marker like a tattoo on his chest almost smoking as if it were fire.
Backing up Cypher looked at himself in the mirror one last time before pulling out of the parking complex he simply drove. Their was no map, no reason to his choice of direction and by the time he had realized that the sun had went down his apatite was in full swing. The New York nightlife was always in motion though he didn’t care for the active lights, Cypher found a little Lounge Bar that catered to the traveler type. Pool tables, areas to dance, and a fully stocked bar and kitchen. It wasn't to bad with its grundge appearance.
_______
Making his way to an empty table Cypher simply carried a messenger bag full of personal effects while one would find the Alternative healing herbs and medications in the bag, their odd uses in natural rituals were even more interesting. As much as he would have loved to just enter a shamanistic trance Cypher instead pulled out a leather bound sketch pad ordering a glass of water. Flipping past the pages of random drawings from the statue of liberty to the golden gate bridge and many other random people, places and things. Cypher began to draw the interior of the club as if it were a comic book scene.... he smiled as his drink arrived, delivered by a young women who worked in the bar area.
