She was on the morning coffee run for the group but she was going to be eating first. They may be able to live off their chocolate bars and chips from the gas stations along the way but her body was craving a good breakfast. Eggs, bacon, potatoes. Her mouth was practically watering just at the idea of it. Pushing open the door of the diner she walked in and as was expected many eyes turned towards her. That was the problem with having to come into a small town, if you weren't from there everyone seemed to notice you and become interested in what you were doing. She offered a sweet and innocent smile to the customers. The one good thing she'd been told was that when she smiled it changed her entire demeanor, she gave off the illusion of someone friendly, not suspicious. Having people growing suspicious of them was something they could not afford to happening while they were on assignment. It had happened before, there had been a great deal of close calls involving the authorities. In fact, Tinny herself just a few months ago had been brought in for questioning in a small town much like this one. Because she and her brothers had arrived when the murders had started they had been 'suspicious' but of course, they soon proved they were innocent without even having to lie but it had been a close call one that she didn't wish to experience any time soon. She offered a nod before sliding onto a stool at the counter waiting for someone to take her order. Her brothers were still sleeping so she figured she had at least a half an hour to eat and then head back to the motel with the coffee to get them out of their grumpy moods. She grabbed a menu from the counter and placed it down in front of her taking a glance at everything that was offered. Damn, she'd thought she knew what she wanted but it looked like there was a lot more offered. She pursed her lips together in thought. It seemed trivial worrying about what she wanted to eat when just a few hours earlier she'd been up the whole night on a stake out. As she kept her dark eyes on the menu she allowed her hair to fall to hide her face, she could feel a flush creeping into her cheeks at the idea that people may have been watching her. A lady dining alone, usually it didn't bother her but today she felt very judged.

The night before had been a rough one. Aric had been out all night doing research on a nearby job that he was investigating. He was informed about a week earlier that there were some 'murders' going on recently. The most recent one was a slit throat, but the stomach was also missing. What the hell would do this to someone? This is why Aric spent the whole night researching the facts. So far, there were no leads, but maybe he would be able to find another hunter that has dealt with this before. In the meantime, why not grab some coffee?
He had finally fallen asleep around three that morning, and for some reason, the clock in his head decided to wake him up at six, and he wasn't able to fall back to sleep. He got up and got a fresh set of clothes on and began walking toward a nearby diner that he had been to almost every morning since he had been in this town. As he walked in, he noticed a girl sitting at the counter and a few other people that were sitting in booths and tables along the restaurant. He nodded to the people that looked at him and took a seat at the counter, a seat away from the girl.
A woman came in front of Aric and welcomed him with a smile "Well hi there Detective. Coffee and the number four?" She asked, a slight perkiness in her voice. It was actually a little annoying to Aric this early in the morning. He nodded and the woman turned around to grab a mug and some coffee, then laced it in front of Aric. He nodded "Thank you" He said politely. She smiled and gave a bit of a concerned look. "Detective Morgan, have you learned any more about the murders around town? You look like you didn't sleep at all last night" Sh seemed concerned, but she seemed to be too young to actually care.
"Um, no ma'am. I haven't been able to solve the crime yet. It's kind of hard to work on these things alone, but I'm sure I will have some better news in a few days." He said, forcing a smile. The young woman nodded and went back to get his hot food from the serving area and placed it in front of him. She turned quickly and got some Tabasco sauce and gave it to him and went on to continue working. Aric poured some sauce onto his eggs and looked to the girl next to him. She was attractive, but that's not what caught his attention about her... It was the salt and pepper shakers she had in front of her "Excuse me ma'am... Can I steal the salt and pepper from you?"

Tinny's attention was purely on the food choices in front of her until she heard the talk of the murders. Detective? She glanced up breifly to look at the man the waitress was speaking to. Her eyes took him in quickly and a small smile settled upon her lips as she glanced back at the food. A little young to be a detective, or at least he looked it. Quickly, minding her own business, more or less, she glanced back to the menu and continued to listen. He hadn't solved the crime yet and it was hard to work on it alone. Well, that was suspicious in itself most detectives had a team behind them, or a partner working with them. She wasn't sure who the guy was but she had a strong feeling he wasn't a detective. When he time came to order she glanced up and offered a quickly smile. "number 2 please, with a coffee... oh and I'll need two coffee to go when I'm done" she added quickly. Glancing down at her phone she realised the monsters would be awaking from their sleep sometime soon. Monsters was a bad choice of word considering what they dealt with but they were really getting on her nerves lately and couldn't think of anything better. She tapped her fingers on the counter top and out of the corner of her eye watched the man not to far from her. When he spoke, seemingly at her it took a moment for it to register that he was speaking to her. "Oh? " she said surprised. Ma'am, wow she'd never gotten that before. Maybe that had been what threw her off. If she ever got called anything it was 'Miss' and that was on a good day. Most days it was 'hey you there'. Looking up now directly at him her eyes settled on the face. It almost looked... familiar, but then again not at the same time. She stopped for a moment trying to take in the details of his appearance just in case she had to share it with her brothers later. She offered a smile as she slid the salt and pepper in his direction. She had half the mind to just go back to her own business but instead she asked a question. "You from around here?" she asked curiously. She had a hunch and she was following it. Sometimes they were wrong, other times they were right and in this case, if she was right, well... it never hurt to have help. "It's awful what's going on down here" she added. She meant of course the murders. She was being sincere it was awful but it happened a lot unfortunately and it was her job to figure out what was doing it and put an arrow through their head, or heart.
