Most people hated going to work. Jordan, on the other hand, loved it. Like every Friday night, she was pumped to go to The Continental Club. Her heels clicked furiously on the sidewalk after she climbed out of a cab. The glitter on her eyes shimmering in the neon lights around her. Most people would hate working at such a busy club, but Jordan loved it. She loved people and she loved meething new people. A couple people looked at her funny as she passed, probably wondering why she was dressed in such little clothing when it was fifty degrees outside. Jordan only grinned at them, winking at a man who was staring partially slack jawed at the brunette beauty. Jordan turned down the street and stared at the massive line to get into the club. She smirked. This was always her favorite part; seeing how many people she could piss off by getting in right away. Half of them didn't know that she worked there, still, and thought she was just some drop-dead gorgeous show off who could get in because of her looks. Jordan walked confidently up to the bouncer, flashing him a flirty smile, her yellow heels clicking on the side-walk in a rhythmic pattern. She stopped, only to give him her name, before slipping into the club. Outside, she got the satisfaction of hearing the people hoop and holler about her being let in. They were soon drowned out, though, from the deep bumping of the bass and the techno flows rolling from the massive speaks on the walls around her.
Jordan made her way behind the counter, grinning at the man she normally worked with, Nick. He turned, looked at her, and sighed in relief. Thank God, your here. I thought I was gonna die. he said, his feminine voice floating over the shouts and music. Jordan chuckled, knowing she could hear him even if he did speak normally. Don't worry, sunshine. I'm here to save the day. she shouted to him so his human ears could hear her. Immediatly, she got to work. Her fingers closed around the neck of a bottle of Patron Tequila and she immediatly pour three shots that some guy ordered for himself and two other girls. He winked at her and grinned back, not afraid to be flirty with her customers. She moved down the bar, continuing to serve nonstop, hardly ever stopping, even for a momentary breather. It was always like this on Friday nights. Hell, it was sometimes like this on Monday nights. It was fun to her, and she hardly ever got irritated with people. Most of them were drunk anyways, so she couldn't take them seriously half the time. The only thing she had to be careful and look out for were the aggressive ones. Personally, she hadn't been bothered by one, but she's seen it happen to the other bartenders and it normally wasn't pretty.
Jordan was suddenly stopped when a man reached out and grabbed her wrist. Hey, hold on a minute. he snapped, and she looked over at him. His eyes were bloodshot and just from the way he was looking at her, she knew he meant trouble. Jordan pulled her arm easily away from him. Can I help you? she asked, arching a perfectly shaped brow. Her voice was pleasant and kind, seeing as how she didn't want to provoke this guy to do something stupid. Yeah, why don't you come over here with a bottle and we go have some fun? he said, a smirk on his face. Jordan rolled her eyes. This guy... I'm not on the menu, sweetheart. she said, turning to go. Alright, alright! How about a shot of Jose Quervo for me. Thats it. Jordan eyed him suspiciously, leaning down to grab the bottle. As she did, he reached over the bar and got a handful of her wavy hair. A yelp of pain erupted from her lips as he pulled her roughly over the bar, throwing her into a crowd of people. Horse shit. Jordan landed easily, letting a bit of her supernatural abilities keep her from getting hurt. Her eyes darted around quickly, wondering where the hell a bouncer was when she needed on. Now, your not working. How about a dance, baby. he hissed, moving towards her. Jordan couldn't exactly defend herself without people freaking out about how strong she was. Shit, shit, shit.
Jordan turned and pushed through the crowd, trying to get away from him. As she did, she ran into a huge, hunk of flesh. She looked up, glaring. Wondering what asshole was trying to keep her from getting away from this guy.

Matt got in at the same time he did every night at the club at nine pm and started letting people in the door, the club was always packed with partygoers who loved their booze. He didn’t like guarding the doors on the weekends those are when the rowdy bunch tended to linger out of the woodwork, and seriously tends to be when the most people have to be tossed out on their asses after having a bit too much to drink. Some people really didn’t know their limits. With Matt being what he is it made it a little easier to toss them out and stuff, but he didn’t show off too much. He didn’t want to draw attention to himself, because that brings in the hunters, and he didn’t need anymore of those trying to kill him. He was shocked that Anna hasn’t yet. She is a hunter, but they seem to get on good and he isn’t killing anyone.
He has a handle on what he is being a born one. Things between him and Anna he don’t really know what they are yet, but they do make a good team. It was something with him always helping the pretty ladies get out of trouble. It seemed to be a habit since he has to rescue damsels in distress in the club all the time. Helping people is something he does like to do an means them no harm. He is part human anyways for the most part. How they can purposely hurt and kill each other is beyond him. Last week he had to toss two dudes out who nearly beat each other to death. It really was something he didn’t get especially over a drink. It was insane and he seen some pretty insane stuff here, but probably not as insane as the things Anna see’s.
Matt had went in and had one of the other dudes take over the door since he needed a break from it and needed to go get a drink himself only to walk into a mess and it so looked like his break wouldn’t be happening just yet some dude pulled one of the bartenders over the counter and into the crowd. He shook his head and pushed his way threw the crowd, as did some of the others to help the poor dear. He was two times her size the dude that had been after her. He had almost made it to where the man at the bar who had been making a fuss with the bartenders was when the bartender ran into him, as she had been trying to escape the dude who had been attacking the bartenders. “Are you okay?” He asked looking down at the woman who he himself was reasonably taller then, as one of the other dudes tried to subdue the man that had attacked her, but seemed to be failing at getting the person out the door. He was drunk and probably was on something besides just booze.
It made Matt frown a little watching the other bouncer get his ass handed to him. “Maybe we should get you out of here and into the back. He seems to have his eyes set on you. Did you lead him on in anyway?” Matt was curious as to why this man would be so set on this young woman. “After you are safe in the back. I can see about taking this dude out so you can get back to work. He was beating on the other bouncers pretty good. It wasn’t safe for her in there right now and they needed to get this dude outta there before he causes a big mess with other patrons.

sometimes i don't make sense
Oh, yay. Bouncer. She recognized his face the second her chocolate brown eyes landed upon him. Of course, she couldn't put a name there, but that was fine. Are you ok? he asked her, and she simply shrugged. Yeah, I'm fine. Her eyes followed his back to the guy who was literally beating the living hell out of the other bounces. Jordan furrowed her brows, wondering what the hell his problem was. If only she wasn't around a bunch of humans. Bristling a bit at the thought, her mind was drug back to the bouncer in front of her when he spoke again. Maybe we should get you out of here and into the back. He seems to have his eyes set on you. Did you lead him on in anyway? Jordan rolled her eyes. The guy is so drunk, he probably thinks any female even looking at him his leading him on. she grumbled, crossing her arms. Good to know thats what the bouncers thought whenever the female bartenders got beat up a bit, that they led the drunks on. Jordan turned her gaze back to the guy and a low growl bubbled in her chest, not even loud enough to be hard over someone speaking, let alone yelling. After you are safe in the back. I can see about taking this dude out so you can get back to work. Jordan pouted a bit. She wanted to see that guy get the living shit beat out of him. I can't stay and watch? It wasn't that she was looking for something to gossip about, it was a thrill for her to watch a fight. The wolf inside of her loved it. Fighting did run in her blood, especially in situations like this. Oh, how she loved being a wolf. She made a face suddenly as the smell of fresh blood hit her senses. She breathed in again, trying to clear it, and thats when she caught the scent of another Loup Garoux. Close. Jordan's eyes snapped to the bouncer, and her eyes narrowed a bit. She tested the air once again and she fought off a cheeky smirk, and wasn't very good about doing so. Well, well. Guess you won't have a problem getting him out of here, will you? Oh, happy Jordan was happy. It had been a long time since she came upon another Wolf.
Jordan spun on her heel and began to make her way through the people, trying to get towards the back. Everyone was bookin' it towards the exit, trying to get out before they got pulled into the little battle going on beside the bar. An empty beer bottle shot through the air, and Jordan ducked, scowling as it nearly hit her in the head. Gritting her teeth, she reached down and snatched her heels off before pushing through people again. If someone else got in her way, she wouldn't hesitate to crack someone with one of the canary-colored shoes in her hands. Ow, ow, ow. she grumbled when she hit a small patch of broken glass. She hopped away from it, finally getting a break in the crowd. She ducked into one of the back rooms, leaving the door a bit open in case the bouncer had followed her. She didn't really wait around to find out. Jordan flopped down onto one of the chairs and lifted up her foot which had small little cuts in it where the glass had sliced through. Fuuu... she grumbled and began picking at some of the small shards. Once she got the glass out, the wounds would heal on their own rather quickly, but the soft skin on her feet would suffer. A small pout formed on her lips at this. She had just gotten a pedicure, too. She had almost forgotten about the bouncer, so when the door started to open, she lunged for one of the bottles and lifted it behind her head, ready to chuck it at whoever's head was about to poke through the door.

The night was getting crazier and crazier with the rude drunk dude causing chaos threw out the bar, the bartender had ran into him, and he’d does his best to get her to the back before the dude hurts anyone else, but that plan wasn’t going swiftly at all. He could smell blood in the air, and that was never good. He had to be on something besides booze… Right? She had told him that she is fine… “That’s good, “ He assured here, and he still wanted to get her out of the asking if she lead him on in anyway to get the scoop on the guy.
“Then it really is best he gets tossed out now. We don’t need him going after every lady in the place.” Matt hmmed softly to himself… Therefore, if he just goes after any woman then it didn’t have a meaning why this guy was after her. He was starting to see some of the times people who are attacked these days there is a reason. Like Anna had been attacked the night he rescued her. He really had a crazy past few weeks, and in general was glad this bartender was okay, and he got to her before the man could do more damage to her, but the other bouncers were getting pretty beat up, people were running to the doors that are when he had said that he should get her to the back.
She asked about staying to watch and he looked at her, in an are you crazy kind of way, but some people get their rocks off by watching people fight. He shook his head. “Suit yourself. I just didn’t want him coming back after you, and think you’d be safer in the back. “ She had then said something about him not having a problem getting the guy out. He scanned the club, and blood was dripping from one of the bouncers mouths and he winced. “What? “ He asked. He was confused and didn’t know what she was going on about. Therefore, Matt played it off as if it were nothing for the time being. She couldn’t know about him. He tried to keep a low profile, and he was too caught up in the commotion to notice the scent of another wolf.
He watched her go off and then went to confront the dude with the other back up even the other dude from the door had to come in so they could take down this rowdy dude. Bottles were being thrown or dropped, and people were getting hurt. Some of the other bartenders went into the back and others were trying to hose some of the other rowdy patrons off…
He couldn’t blame the others for going into the back. It took a good while to get this dude down, punches were swung and some had made impact, hitting him causing him to bleed a lil, and his eyes to change color, but hopefully no one had noticed, and finally the got the dude outside. He couldn’t make it look like it was too easy especially if there was a hunter in the club… That would draw so much attention.
After the dude was taken outside, the police had been called and he had been escorted to the station for booking… Matt went to go tell the other bartender that it was safe to come out. He had poked his head in and could have potentially gotten hit by a flying bottle that she had in her defense…
“WHOA WHOA WHOA.. It’s just me.. No need to throw things.. It’s safe to come out. The guy is gone and the police arrested him outside. I don’t think he will be coming back, but I am sure the boss would let you leave if you want to go press charges against him for assault or get a restraining order from him. “ Matt had said it could possible be a good idea for the second in case he follows her around. Matt was still bleeding he had to clean himself up, he’d heal soon thought it was just a little blood from being punched, and would be good as gold once he gets to the rest room to spit it all out. “ You’re good?” He asked making sure she really was okay, and wondered if she’d say what she meant about him.
The music was playing in the background and hooting and hollering was starting up again, he peeked out the door, and it was like nothing ever happened really except for the broken glass on the floor which was swiftly being cleaned up. “ What a night.. I am Matt by the way.” he stated.

sometimes i don't make sense
WHOA WHOA WHOA.. It’s just me.. No need to throw things.. It’s safe to come out. The guy is gone and the police arrested him outside. I don’t think he will be coming back, but I am sure the boss would let you leave if you want to go press charges against him for assault or get a restraining order from him. Jordan nearly sank into the floor. She made a face at him. You should have knocked! I could have taken your head off, guy! she grumbled, setting the bottle back down into the ice. She plopped back down onto the couch, glancing up at him. Press charges? Nah. I don't feel like going through all the legal crap. Plus, I'm not exactly hurt. Lifting her foot back up onto her knee, she went back to picking at the glass that she had stepped in when getting out of all the traffic that was trying to leave the club. She looked up at him, noticing that he was bleeding. She tilted her head at him, dark waves rolling over her shoulder. Come sit. Lets get you cleaned up. she said, slipping her feet back into her yellow heels. You're good? he asked her then, and she grinned at him. Just fine, thanks. Jordan stood and walked across the room, grabbing a couple paper towels. She frowned, hunting for the straightest alcohol she could find. She didn't feel like sneaking out to get the First Aid kit and risk getting grabbed up by one of the reporters. What a night. I am Matt, by the way. she caught him say, and she glanced back at him for a split second. A small laugh left her lips. Yeah... Jordan Riley.
Grabbing a bottle of Jose Cuervo, she pointed at the couch that he still hadn't sat down on. He had gotten hit protecting her and other civilians, she could at least help him clean up the wound on his face. Why'd you let him hit you? she watched him, a crooked grin spilling on to her mouth. She sniffed at him. From what I'm gathering from what you are, it wouldn't have been hard to just drag him out by the collar. she was amused that he hadn't picked up on her scent yet. It was probably because he was so into what was going on, he hadn't bothered. Amused, she sat down on the coffee table Indian style, waiting for him to take a seat on the couch. Jordan was so extremely excited on the inside about finding another Werewolf she could hardly contain herself. Jordan hadn't met another since her family, and they weren't exactly the most pleasant to be around since they didn't like the fact that she loved what she was. Jordan looked away from Matt for a minute, frowning. They always bothered her. She didn't understand why they disliked what they were so much. She saw it as a gift, especially after teaching herself how to control it almost perfectly. She still had a long ways to go before she could decide when or where she wanted to shift, but it was getting easier. Fighting off the Full Moon was one of the hardest things to do, but like everything else, it was getting easier. She was glad that she hadn't been out in the moonlight yet, because she knew she'd have to retreat to the nearest forest to shift, and honestly, she didn't want to right now. She wanted to get to know this Werewolf before her before anything else.

Dude was tossed out of the bar and that was good, and now the night could get back to normal. He went to go check on the beautiful bartender that the man had attacked almost to get a bottle in the face when he went to go see if she was okay. He didn't knock and perhaps he should have, but he could have caught that before it made impact if she did throw it or tried to cut him with it. She was then saying how she could have taken his head off… "Sorry." Matt had replied, and telling her what had been going on.
She had told him how she didn't want to go threw all them little details with the police. Perhaps that would keep him away from this place having to be sent to them and them called on him. If he has a wife, she surely wouldn't be to happy with him and his stunts tonight attacking. " Can't blame you for not wanting to go threw all the legal stuff. It is a pain in the arse, but hopefully it will keep the dude away from this place and attacking other woman." Matt had said. She was picking glass out of her foot so she had gotten a little hurt nothing major and she looked unharmed.
She had told Matt to come sit and let her clean him up. " You don't have to I am fine." he had said being stubborn and broody at first them figured if he didn't do as she said she'd make him and it was better to do it the easy way then the hard way right? She had slipped her feet back into her yellow heels, which meant that she hadn't been hurt to bad herself, and sat down and let the woman look at him. " Thank you." he had told her.
She had introduced herself as Jordan Riley. "It’s a pleasure to meet you. Jordan Riley." She had gone to get the Jose and he had sat on the couch like he had been instructed by her to do. She asked why he let the dude hit him. He shrugged his shoulders. He could sense it now that she wasn't exactly a regular human and now it made more sense what she had said out there.
" I could have yes, but you know. I don't want to draw attention to myself. There could be a dozen hunters out there and that is why I let the man hit me. I couldn't make things look easy. If i became reckless and let that happen, one could catch on, and that would be bad. It has happened with my family time and time again, and I am tired of running and hiding for careless mistakes." it was true he broke away from his other siblings and parents because they were always on the run drawing attention, and he for one has made some mistakes in his past as well, and part of them mistakes maybe being made again. He knew Anna was a hunter, but he hoped he could show her he isn't bad.
He isn't like the other breed of werewolves that kill and murder people when the moon was full. He can control everything about what he is. He didn't let the beast take control and slaughter people. If he did, he would have done so by now. "Were you born or bitten? he asked her curious, watching her as she got settled sitting Indian style. Hopefully the boss would understand why they were back here and were getting cleaned up. Some of the others were working on cleaning up outside the door. He could hear them. By the time they are back to work the man should be gone. He hoped that it would be quiet from now on and wondered if she knew about the hunters around here. He knew there were a few of them.

sometimes i don't make sense
Jordan shrugged at Matt's apology. He didn't need to be sorry for that. She wrapped her hands around both of her ankles, still perched on the coffee table. She smiled softly when he said he didn't blame her for not wanting to go through all the legal stuff. Yeah... I don't really see a point in it. I'm not hurt. If other people want to press charges, let them go through all of that. she said, looking down at her nails. She frowned when he said that he was fine. Did he really expect her to let him stand there when she was compeletly prepared to help him out? She didn't offer to help people very often, so being refused when actually offering? Oh, no. Before she could argue with him, he walked over and she felt a satisfied smirk lift her lips. Thank you. he said, and she grinned. Not a problem.

[/i] Jordan twisted the cap off of the Jose Cuervo and put he rag over the top of it and turned it outer, getting a small spot wet. This might sting a little... she warned, leaning forward to dap the blood spots a little bit. He was already starting to heal up a bit, but the wound wasn't completely closed. Her brows furrowed a bit as she focused on the cut where his face was busted open. The guy must have hit him pretty damn hard. Jordan frowned. Her head was starting to get a bit sore from where the guy had jerked her over the table by her hair, but it was easy to ignore. It was a pleasure to meet you, Jordan Riley. Jordan smiled a bit. Likewise. She redoused the rag with some Cuervo before twisting the cap back on it and dabbing at Matt's face again. She listend to his explanation and tilted her head a bit. She had heard of Hunters, but didn't think they were all that serious. Are they really that bad? The hunters? Jordan never really even gave the hunters a second thought, because she didn't think they were something to worry about too much. She finally felt satisfied with the wound on Matt's face so she sat back away from him and draped the rag over the top of the bottle. Her doe-brown eyes ventured from the bottle to the clock on the wall. Her brow arched a bit. It was already 11:47. Had all that commotion really taken up that much time? She mentally shrugged. Her shift ended at one and she doubted the boss man would really make her go back out. As much as she loved bartending, she was far more interested in learning about the hunters and about this Werewolf before her. Her brows furrowed when he asked her if she was born or bitten. I was bitten, but my mom, dad, and brother were all born. The gene skipped over me. It wasn't my parents that bit me though... They didn't want me to become one. she explained, chewing on her lower lip. That was a touchy subject for her, but she figured she could tell him. He seemed like a pretty decent guy. She looked back up at him. What about you? she asked curiously. The lady wasn't badly hurt so she didn't want to deal with the legal stuff. Could he blame her hell no. She was right let the other people do so if they were injured he was sure enough people got hit to press charges and he was sure some of the other bouncers would want the man blacklisted from this place after his stunts tonight. He could see the soft frown on her lips while she looked at her nails when he first had said that he had been fine. He knows he will be fine, but he may as well take the helping hand that she was offering so before she had time to strike up an argument .
He had taken a seat so that she could fix him up where he had gotten hit it was nice of her it really was she came over with the bottle and told him that it could sting a little. He would be fine and only winched slightly as the booze was dabbed on over the cut it did sting a little, but he has been hurt worse before and it would hell fully with rest. It was no big thing really. He looked at the clock as she continued to dab at it.
It had been a pleasure to meet her and he had explained why he hadn't just beat the guy and flung him out like the trash he was an let the man hit him. He couldn't draw attention to himself. He told her some about the hunters, and her asking if they were that bad should have been indication that she was bitten. When you are born into a family a pack, you learn all about the dangers of those who hunt. " Yes, some can be that bad. There are a lot out there in the world and some kill what they don't understand. We are not the only breed of werewolf." He said in a whisper in case anyone came in and heard it. " Those kill people savagely and sometimes we get the blame even thought we have control and others breeds don't," He had said frowning slightly. He had dated a woman who turned out to be a hunter and she tried to kill him.
Matt had to ask if she was bitten or born just to see and he figured maybe she would have told him it was not his business, but she told him. She was bitten, and that did confirm his previous thoughts. She said her family was born and the gene skipped over her and her parents didn't want her to become one. "They probably didn't want you to live your life on the run hidden in shadows because of the hunters of the world." It could have been why they didn't want her to. Perhaps they had been into some scuffles with one or maybe she wasn't really of their blood and could be why it skipped her, but he wasn't going to say that. The possibilities of why they didn't want her to be one were swimming around in his head. " Did they ever say why they didn't want you to become one and join their pack?" He had asked curious as to what they told her.
She had asked him if he was born or bitten. " Me, I was born on like my parents and my siblings and extended family. Our family's history goes back for generations and generations. Maybe some of my family even knows yours." He said with a small shrug of the shoulders looking at the clock again. " Wow is that the time already. Where did it go?" he couldn't believe it was almost midnight already and his shift would be over soon unless he takes a double one. He doesn't need to sleep as much as a regular human, but the sleep is nice.
