Some children from established hunters attend the Hunter’s Academy in Texas. This institution is like a second home to youth, as they can be left by their guardians for all their schooling needs and training to become future hunters. Trained to fight anything that could possibly come their way. Some, who haven’t attended the academy, fight select creatures and have their own tactics. Sometimes people become hunters because a creature has taken their family. demons Their eyes turn completely black, but can be turned on and off. They are impervious to hallowed ground. They can be exercised back to hell and are restricted by salt barriers. Vulnerable to the colt and the knife the demon Ruby possesses. They can, however, trap themselves to their human host by a binding spell and can communicate with someone higher up on the chain (yellow-eyed demons) through a goblet of blood and sometime EVP. red eyed. They are the ones that show up at cross roads to make deals, granting people their wishes in exchange for their lives and souls. When they appear, their eyes are all red except for a black pupil. They are a low-class of demon, kind of like sales people to lure in humans to sell their souls. Can be trapped with devils traps and exercised and sent back to hell. They can be killed with the colt. yellow eyed {rare}. Presence is made known within an area by electrical storms that can make electronics go haywire and clocks stop. Other signs are death of cattle and temperature fluctuations. Yellow-eyed demons are impervious to Holy Water, Salt Barriers, are Vulnerable to the Colt, and can also possess other supernatural creatures--not only humans. They can be distinguished by their yellow eyes, both the irises and pupils. Due to these characters being rare, please contact an admin to see if it is okay to create one prior to creating an application. We do not wish to have loads of them running around. Also note that we don't want loads of characters with YED demons in their histories without prior consult with the admin team. white eyed {rare}. These Demons are high up in the demonic circle and are very strong and traditional means do not kill them. They have deadly telekinetic capabilities and can unleash a blast of demonic energy ("white fire") that incinerates anything it touches. They possess inhuman strength and durability. They are unaffected by holy water and salt, but cannot kill angels. We do not wish to have loads of these on site because they are rare and powerful hitters. Please contact an admin prior to creating one to see if they are being accepted. --------------------------------------------- Black-eyed demons are the most common in the verse. In corporal form, escaped from hell or a human host, they appear as black smoke. So beware if you are around some black smoke. Traces of sulfur may be left behind in demonic cases, and these demons usually only flee the host willingly or when exorcised by a hunter. Depending on the damage the body has sustained determines your survival upon exorcism. If you fell off a 7-story building… odds are you won't live very long after the possession. Most demons have abilities including: mind control, telepathy, telekinesis, super strength, and the ability to appear without warning. We don't really want any good demons floating around. They would be neutral, at best, as they still have that killer instinct in them and usually have a hidden agenda that can't be trusted. It is very rare that you can trust them at all... civilians Not everyone is gripped by some supernatural disposition to create chaos in the world or out to fight those who do. Most civilians are entirely naïve to what really goes bump in the night, just going by their daily lives in peace as officers, doctors, lawyers, waiters, mechanics, etc. But every civilian may not be what they seem. Some are retired hunters, formerly possessed victims of demons, victims of loved-ones falling prey to the supernatural, or those in the know who simply do nothing about it. psychics Psychics are those who possess powers through genetics or supernatural gain. True psychics have had their powers from the day they were born, unlike the those that later gained theirs. Because of the knowledge of their power, they tend to have more control over time and are a little more aware of their ability. The character of Missouri, who is slightly clairvoyant, would be a good example of a psychic with powers of the mind. skinwalkers Many believe that these beasts are closely related to werewolves, but the best known is that of the Navajo yenaldooshi, evil human beings who have gained supernatural power by murdering a close relative or breaking cultural taboo. The creature travels by night, spreading misery and desecrating holy things. Causing trouble, like a shifter, it is said that these creatures have the power to canines and are cousins to the wolf, and that they run around naked—but since they first appeared I’m sure things have changed a bit. They are vulnerable to silver. vampires Vampires in this verse are unlike other familiar vampires, in addition to enhanced senses, they have a set of separate, fully retractable teeth and mate for life. Due to being hunted down, they are mostly extinct and travel in packs. Sunlight does not affect them too bad, it is just like a bad sunburn to them. Some can resist the temptation of humans, but as ‘good’ as they may try to be, they are at best neutral creatures. Their lust for blood will always be there, and they could easily betray their humanity for instinct to sink their teeth into another. To become a vampire, one must feed on another vampire’s blood. One can be tricked into this, for example being slipped it in a drink like a drug or having the blood dripped into an open wound. Vampires can be weakened by dead man’s blood and killed by beheading. Many of these creatures have learned to live their lives as humanly as possible in fear of being killed, and are often very solitary and try to keep to themselves. werewolves Werewolves, or Lyncanthropes, are humans who have been bitten, also known as sired, by another werewolf. They have the ability to shapeshift (unwillingly it seems) into a feral form during the full moon. Those who are inflicted with this curse do not even remember their transformation at the end of the lunar cycle. They are nothing like the horror movies. They retain most of their human characteristics, however they are now supernaturally fast and strong. There is no known cure to the condition, nor a method to keep them from transforming. loup garoux. Loup Garoux is a rare subspecies of werewolf. Unlike their younger brethren that keep their human characteristics, these creatures fully change into wolves. Their wolf form mirrors that of their human personality, for if one was to look into the eyes of a Loup Garoux they would see the human soul. These creatures have the power to transform at will, and just like werewolves they MUST transform on the full moon. Silver acts as a slow poison to them. It does not kill them instantly, except in mass quantities or if it is left in the blood stream for too long. The quickest way to kill a Loup Garoux is to sever the spinal cord in some way. They possess quick healing abilities and therefore most injuries will cease to exist once they transform. The only wounds they will show in scarring are those inflicted by silver or another Loup Garoux/Werewolf. They are also created by a bite infecting a normal person. While in their wolf form, a person who is a Loup Garoux is conscious of everything they are doing and will remember the events of transformation when human again. They are usually born into this breed. witches Whether practiced alone or within a coven, male or female, witches are those who use spell work and magic to manipulate their surroundings. Hexes, jinxes, and curses are all part of their arsenal. In order for their spells to work, they typically pledge themselves to a demon that lends them a bit more power. Though there might also be some good witches, who use magic more to help others than to manipulate. For those not adept to using an outside energy source, however, their 'powers' will severely sap their strength. angels Angels are known by many religions of messengers of god. As mediums of god, they can execute God's will. Angels became active on Earth to stop the breaking of The 66 Seals, but seemed to have failed. Many angels died in that battle, but some still remain. They can take human form and only reveal themselves as angels to whom they wish. Angels in this verse, like demons, do so by taking on a human host. These may be voluntary "possessions" by followers of god, willing to give their body to the lord as a vessel. Angels keep their host’s body alive, should they gain a mortal wound. They are divine beings imbued with a heavenly grace. An angel’s true form burns out the eyes of one who spies upon it and their voices shatter glass, causing the earth to quake, and the ears of man to bleed. As an Angel, disobedience and loss of faith is a crime punishable by death. They can become human if they lose their grace, and by finding their grace again they can regain their full powers. Angels have the power to exercise demons by touching the human host and exercising the possessor from them. They also can be sent away with an Angel Banishing Sigil and can be killed with the Angel Killing Sword. Superhuman strength. Can transport themselves, and humans, through time and space. The appearance and disappearance of angels is often accompanied by physical phenomena, such as: a sudden wind, glass shattering, blackouts, etc. Angels can also appear without warning. By placing two fingers on a person's forehead, angels can render someone unconscious or change their memories. They have the power to exorcise demons from humans by touching them. Angels can see things outside of human perception. Are uninfected by plagues, and are immune to all diseases. Angels have the ability to heal, harm, or resurrect humans. Telekinetic. They have every prophet listed in their brains. They can rescue humans from Hell. Can implant images in prophets’ heads. fallen angels must be pre-approved by the admin team sirens In the Supernatural Verse, Sirens can appear as both men and women, luring victims in by seducing them. This does not necessarily mean a sexual love, but can also be through a sibling affection the person shares a bond with. As such, a Siren’s Song is transmitted through any bodily fluids. Their fluids leave traces of oxytocin in the victim’s blood, which is a love hormone that evokes feelings of euphoria. With the ability to read minds, the siren pretends to be the person’s perfect person or desire. A siren’s true face can be seen in a mirror, and the only way to kill them is to stab them with a bronze dagger dipped into Siren-infected blood (blood of a person affected by them). Siren’s can and will convince you to kill the person you love under the pretext of replacing them. spirits There are several types of spirits known in the supernatural verse, some good and some bad. They can haunt a specific place or latch onto a specific person. A ghost can appear in semi-corporeal form and have taken the shape of humans, animals, and even vehicles in Supernatural. Some ghosts linger on this earth because they have unfinished business, are out to seek revenge on those who have caused their deaths, and/or have the unwillingness to move on. Reoccurring spirits often act out the things that happened in their everyday life; some may not even notice that you are there while others can communicate or interact with you. Common dispatch of a ghost is salting and burning of its corpse, and blessing them and making them move on. You can also “scare a ghost to death” by making them relive their torture and violent deaths. Iron works to repel them temporarily. shape shifters supernatural versed shapeshifters Can take the form of anyone, as well as accessing the thoughts of the person they are mimicking. When they change shapes, they literally have to shed their skin to change forms. A retinal flare that shows up when they are photographed or caught on film, such as a security camera, can identify them. These creatures are pretty tough to take down, but can be killed by silver. animal shapeshifters. Characters included in this category are natural born shape shifters of the animal persuasion. These characters are born human, but have the ability to shape-shift into an animal at will. They have supernatural strength, agility, healing capabilities, and extended life spans. When they do shift, they have complete mental control of their beast and remain in contact with their humanity. They can be killed by normal means, but it’s harder to do because they heal quickly. If its not an immediately fatal wound... chances are they will be able to mend with rest, time, and nutrition. Examples of a fatal wound would be a bullet to the heart or head, decapitation, disemboweling, or tremendous blood loss. This type of character is only made through birth or by a bite of a soul mate. It is NOT contagious and cannot be passed through general fighting, biting, or scratching. Many Native American tribes have natural born shifters in their bloodlines, in the forms of wolves, mountain lions, foxes and other native animals to the land. gifted They are human beings who have extra ordinary gifts that wouldn’t be considered that of a Psychic or that of a Witch. Example: Kinetic powers would be an example of a gifted person. They have often inherited their abilities through their family lines and were born with these gifts.
