You can register all your accounts on all sites you go to, and by login into that it will show you what accounts have new private messages, and you click the link and it will log you right into your account. It is simple and easy and a great way to keep track of all your characters and all the other proboards sites you are on.
I know some of you don't see that you have private messages seeing as the pm center is in the the stats at the bottom of the site.
There is a FAQ in the FAQ's that show you how to enable so you get pop up pm's in your in box. Then there is always this option with the global login.
