It was funny how life could change within a blink of an eye. It wasn't long ago now that the people he knew thought he had a perfect life, but his life at the time had been anything less then perfect he put on a show on a day to day basis and now he was on the road with the girl who saved his life in more ways then one, and he didn't know if she knew that... she has given him a fresh start at life all though they fight like cats and dogs all the time and that she hates his baby. He really doesn't get how she hates the color orange so much, but he is willing to paint her a different color as long as a little orange is kept.
What the two of them were going to do was beyond him and they seemed to be skating by on life... he often wondered how long it would take before their past and what happened in misery valley came to bite them in the ass... he didn't know if she ever thought about that and didn't feel to keen to ask her if she thought about that. Right now, they were trying to live life to the fullest and were skating by day by day, until they found some place to settle down. He knew it would be nice to settle down, get things worked out, and get a proper job once again. Is it odd that he wanted a proper job?
Reed had made his way threw the town they were currently staying in near Austin, and headed into one of the pool halls, grabbing a news paper and looking threw the thing for the local news and seeing if there was anything strange in it or well if there were any jobs . He could possible go for or under the table ones that he could do to make a little cash… he'd do whatever it takes so they could skate by the guy wasn't afraid of labor... and hell maybe he could meet some of the towns people by being out and about...
He had left Katie note saying he was gonna take a load off and wander about to get a feel of the place and what not and that she could come find him if she needed him. So there he sat with his orange juice at a table at the local pool hall reading his paper and watching that local patrons play pool and darts... It seemed peaceful and he liked that... being on the road he has met some interesting people that was for sure…
New Years had come and gone and that night had been a crazy night and well a little less then a month away and it would be valentines day and he didn't have the slightest clue what to get Katie for Valentines Day.. His ex was a nut case, gave him a list, and wanted jewelry, but Katie is very different from the other girls he has dated… It made him sigh a little to himself as he sipped his juice… lost in his thoughts about what he could get her...
He hoped to hell he'd find something she'd like so she doesn't decide to kill him or give him the clap or something with the hexing she can do... she was scary at times... putting his juice down he began to flip threw the want ads ..
