GRACE DANE ---
The young woman pushed herself to go farther through the park. She had been running for a longer period of time than most humans would be able to endure. The loup garoux like those the same as her could sustain longer than most humans that roamed the planet. It was a good thing in general, but it took a long time to get a good workout. A sigh escaped from her reddened lips that seemed to match oh so perfectly to her flaming hair. Like a torch, she made her way past the water fountains and natural serenity into the deep brush of the woodlands. Almost immediate, the girl felt at home. She had a certain impulsive desire to turn into a wolf, though she kept it checked in. Obviously, she wasn’t stupid enough to think transforming randomly into a wolf in the presence of humans would be completely normal. Years before in her life, Grace had done that before; fallen off the wagon. Didn’t end up so well, and it took a few hours to realize she could and did kill people. Not exactly thrilled with the idea, Grace finally took her pack’s advice seriously. She never killed another soul again but injuring was something else.
Pink, classic ear buds rested softly into her pink tinged ears playing Bon Jovi’s “You Gave Love a Bad Name”. The music was only about two sections high however due to the fact Grace could hear triple the times better than a human could. Loud music for human was actually immensely painful to her sensitive hearing, and those two sections was about as loud as maximum volume for humans. She ran to the beat of the music tossing her red pony tail about as she did. The shininess of her hair caught the sun for a moment and it looked as if she was on fire. Mentally speaking, the girl was quite “on fire”, the sun had given her energy as usual. Because of this fact, she actually pulled her tiny self out of bed to catch the sun’s best rays and run in them. She hummed along with the lyrics as she went, catching the chorus quite well. She pushed herself to run fast, now that she away from the human race. Her breath quickened excitedly, this was what she lived for. Dark trees of various shades of brown zipped past her as she run based on instinct through the woods. Bon Jovi still sang his tunes through her ears pushing her joy up a level.
Her senses were working now; she could smell and nearly feel the air around her. It smelled like nature, soft and warm. It was her smell, the smell of her territory or her pack’s that made her feel safe. Your pack’s scent was like a blanket, one that offered the bare feeling of security and love. That was one of the bonuses in her life to being what she was. There was no alone. She would spend the rest of her days with her pack and that was that. Grace let out a small curse as she nearly tripped over a misplaced log. Someone had been there a few days before. She didn’t really know much who came to this section of the woods but the smell was human.
