[atrb=width,200]It was a gorgeous day out. The birds were chirpping about and flying happily. The smell of flowers lingered in the air outside. It was beautiful, but she knew what was out there. She knew the chaos that was out there if you scratch beneath the surface. A war was brewing and all the people she knew were in this fight. She was training at the academy herself. She took pride in being on top, but someone always strolls in and takes that from her and she doesn't like that, but she has to make due.
Classes were over for the day so she was able to go to town and shop around. Her parents were off on some hunt like always. She hated being alone. It felt weird when they were gone, but what could she do? She couldn't tag along they thing it put her in danger and maybe it does, but isn't she old enough to make her own choices? She surely does look old enough, but this young-in is jail bait still to most. She was like any other teen girl liked to shop and hang around at the mall get a cup of coffee. Sure, she probably shouldn't drink it, but it seems like a must at times with what she could be doing in the future... If she joins the hunting ranks and all. She didn't know what she wanted to do just yet.
Graduating was the first task.. She had brought herself some trinkets at the store, some make up and girly stuff. Her parents did leave her money when they were about and did send some to the academy for her so she can do what she pleased with it. She seemed to have a fetish for fire so she was always picking up lighters and matches especially if she found them laying around her purse has to be full of them. She was dressed in a some jeans, and a shirt and some boots. She didn't try to hard to look as good as she does it just comes natural. She strolled into one of the coffee shops in the mall, and ordered herself a coffee and some donuts. Sure, she probably shouldn't be eating it but what the hell right?
If she is gonna die today she may as well have something scrumptious. Not that she is going to die today. She just never knows when that will be around the bend with the rate things are going in this world. Demons could be in this coffee shop right now waiting to snatch her up and torture her for information or she could walk outside and get bitten by some maniac creature who knows. She just has to take things one day at a time. She liked to have fun and tried to live on the wild side sometimes, but this girl does have a lot of fears.
She sipped her coffee and picked casually at her donuts, she didn't like to get stuff all over her and liked small bites when out in public. How horrific would it be to get stuff all over her in public. She would die. " Hello" she said as she saw this old couple pass her by in the store. She did try to be polite. She got up and helped them into their seats and got them the things the needed like napkins and stuff. She was a generous girl when she wanted to be. She sat back down at her seat and watched threw the window as the people passed by wondering if she would run into anyone she knows.

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
There were many things that Maggie Harris thought was wrong with the Academy. It was boring, tedious on its studies, and the food was utter crap. She hated being there and couldn’t wait to finally graduate and escape it. Most of the students liked the school but in all actuality she despised it. This was the place that her father threw her because he didn’t want to see her. After what happened with her mother she didn’t blame him, she didn’t want to be around herself some times. So the Academy was her own prison sentence, doomed to suffer through boring and tedious lectures. That was of course, when she actually went to classes. What they didn’t know wasn’t going to hurt them, atleast that’s what she thought. She went to them for the last three and a half years, they could suffer through a few missed ones.
As of late she found ways to sneak out of the school and head to the usual hunter hang out with everyone else. Maggie found the air of the area thrilling and it kept her on her toes. To not always be bogged down with information on the different ways to destroy a wendigo or how to correctly dispose of a corpse could get on your nerves very quickly. Sometimes it was nice to pretend to be a normal human being from time to time. Being a teenager sucked as it was, did we need to add the emotional trauma of the supernatural to it as well? She seriously thought that kids who started hunting too early were bound to have some serious issues when they went through high school; it was just a given.
The day was ridiculously nice; not too hot, but not too cold either. The Academy decided to not hold classes that day, something about the teachers had to be elsewhere. So Maggie had the day free to herself, something she liked to have from time to time. So what was a young huntress to do in a weird Texas town that she despised? Go get a coffee that’s what! She could’ve gone down to the bar like normal for some odd reason she felt the need to be like a normal teenager for once. The mall was what she was told normal kids hung out at, better to play the part and do just that. So dressed more up then she was normally comfortable with she headed to it As Maggie heard the bustle and craziness inside the building she couldn’t help but feel out of place. This wasn’t her scene, never had been. It was almost like she was doing something foreign, this wasn’t how she ever was.
As she moved quietly through the crowd Maggie was always on her guard, a habit that she had never backed down from since her father first brought her to the Academy. That was the first rule, always be prepared for anything. Being out of her normal jeans and a t-shirt she knew she was playing a part, not for anyone in particular but for herself. Maggie knew that she wasn’t good in big groups so she had to act like she was okay with it. As she walked ever so slowly into the coffee shop she couldn’t help but let the smell of coffee sooth her. That was her own version of crack that could calm her at any moment no matter the circumstance. With a toss of her long locks she ordered herself a tall caramel macchiato and a muffin, her perfect meal if she ever thought of one. With a good book at her side that she bought at Borders she knew that it was going to be a good afternoon. With her coffee in hand she turned to look at everyone in the shop and that’s when she spotted her, the girl that she had quite a few classes with in the Academy. It seemed she wasn’t the only one who needed a caffeine fix. Maggie felt a smirk show on her face as she took the few steps to the girl’s seat sat down as she took a sip of her coffee. ”Well well, it seems that I’m not the only one who was craving some real caffeine.” |
she laughed as she set her coffee cup down on the table, ”Decided to take a break from all the chaos too?” This was just careful banter, she wasn’t even sure if Sapphire wanted to have company. That was the thing with Maggie, she wasn’t that good at reading people to figure out if she was ever annoying them, not that she really cared. Everything was irrelevant to her, that mindset something she was programmed into thanks to her father. But now she genuinely wanted to have a normal encounter with another human being, question was, would Sapphire be up for it. [/div] 8 1 6 WORDS , TAG MEGS , OUTFIT , ANY NOTES Sorry it's lame!
[atrb=width,200] Sweets was always something she craved at the academy probably because the lack of sweets there. They like you to eat things that keep you fit and healthy as if you were some kind of rabbit or something, but a girl needs her sweets. She could see why they want you healthy, but a treat every now and again would please everyone! Schooling is just like any other school and most public schools have shit lunches so they must have to follow protocol or some bull nuts. Who knows? She wouldn't let it keep her from her treats. It was what a mall was for and what her secret stash was for, but nothing compared to take out coffee. It tasted so perfect and yummy and she adored and savored the taste of the delicious and delectable coffee as it passed threw her sweet plump lips. She at first didn't notice Maggie come in at all lost in her own thoughts. It wasn't until her coffee cup was placed down on the table making the slightest noise had drawn her out of her gaze out the window…
"Nope you’re not the only one a girl needs a little treat now and again don't ya say?” She had replied to the comment of real caffeine. "That I did. Nothing compares to take out coffee I am telling you. It is as if it is magic or something. Always seems to taste better then the stuff they serve us," she said with a slight shake of her head. "That i did. It is crazy there and I needed to get away. I take it you were thinking the same thing. Professors’ riding on you hard I bet with it being almost time for you to graduate the academy." She had motioned to the seat across from her.
"Feel free to have a seat. I promise I won't bite unless you want me to." She teased playfully. Sapphire was one that liked to be almost like the older kids even if she was only 15. She admired the older kids they got to do all the fun stuff. “What kind of trouble have you been getting yourself into, Maggie? I haven’t seen ya around much?” She had noticed Maggie hasn’t been around she is an observant young girl and likes to stay at the top of her game. It was what she did best so it seemed except when she zoned out of is faced with something she feared then there is a problem and she was interested as to what Maggie has been up to? "I promise I won't tell the professors about anything you have been up to. They would have to torture it out of me." Sapphire said waiting for her academy buddy to have a seat. She envied that Maggie would be out there hunting in the real world sometimes soon. She couldn't wait till she was old enough. Maybe then her parents will take her along on a hunt or her and her friends could go on one. It would crazy and fun.

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
There was so many things that Maggie hated about the Academy and one particular thing was their diet. Like most of the kids there the fact that they were on such strict, nutritious meal that helped them with their training. Perhaps that’s why she hated it there so much, no that wasn’t it but it was definitely one of the things. There were countless students she knew who had their own private stashes of goods to help them survive and she was more than willing to help the younger years in showing them the best hiding spots that she’s learned over the years. In her mind it was her civic duty to leave the kids with her knowledge as she was going to finally graduate at the end of the school year.
Maggie laughs at the girl as she nodded in agreement with her. ”Yeah take out coffee is the best, it’s a lot better than that watered down, chunky coffee grounds crap they try to give us there. I doubt they even drink it themselves. If they thought this was a nice torture method for us it’s working…” |
she snickered as she looks down at the girl. She might’ve been a few years younger than her but she saw her around. The Academy wasn’t that big, most of the students knew each other or atleast knew of each other. Sapphire was one of those girls that she knew from around and had a few group classes with. She looked at her with her bright blue eyes, with a small twinkle in her eyes. She always liked Sapphire. ”Oh they’re definitely riding me hard. Particlarly Mr. Grayson,” she said with a roll of her eyes as she pulled the metal chair back to sit down. ”They seem to think I’m slacking…like that’s possible at that prison,” she murmured with a shrug as she takes a sip of her coffee, keeping her hands cupped around the warm liquid. ”For three years they didn’t crack the whip and now that its down to crunch time they do, I just don’t get it. But I guess I can do better.” She grinned as she winks back at her, amused that she was so playful. Most of the kids were stuck up snobs, she hated that with a fierce passion. Being there didn’t mean they had to be stone cold emotionless pits, they could actually have a care in the world too. ”So you’re a biter huh?” she snickered as she takes another sip of her drink. Oddly enough Maggie did have a weird sense of humor at some points. It was a thing she just couldn’t help and she didn’t really think about it. Oh well, she just hoped Sapphire would get over it. A small snicker escaped her as the girl asked her what trouble she’d been getting into, ”When aren’t I in trouble?” With a tuck of her hair behind her ears she comes clean on her whereabouts of the last few weeks. ”I certainly hope it doesn’t come to them torturing you. I’ve been around…just not necessarily AT the school…” she whispered as she bit her bottom lip a small smirk on her face. ”I have ways of getting out of the prison …I’ll show you if you like sometime.” Watching the girl in mild amusement she figured she really did like this girl, she was amusing as all hell and knew the type of crap they go through with school. ”What have you been up to Miss Sapphire? School still hell for you lower classman? I know it sure as hell was when I was…Getting into lots of trouble I hope!” This was normal, this was what teenagers did, right? In all honesty she wanted to know more about Sapphire, she needed a friend that knew what it was like in the Academy. Part of her wanted to protect the girl, hope that she’d never have to see a hunt in her life. But being part of the school, she knew that was never going to happen.
[atrb=width,150]
Sapphire got why they wanted them on balanced diets, but you know they are growing teens they needed sweets every now and again. Sapphire was happy that she ran into someone she knew from the academy here it was better to have company then none and she was one that likes company and liked to be social it was weird to her being by herself. Perhaps this is why she hung around with the older kids that had all the fun most of the times. “Your right if that is a means of torture it is totally working and making us sneak off for some of the good stuff. I am sure they don’t drink it like you said unless they like the stale camel piss taste of coffee.”
|
She said scrunching up her nose in distaste. Classes there were always something else she loved the training, but hated the papers and shit that went along with it, but who liked schoolwork really? She surely didn’t so being out and about was a good break for her. She was a girl that loved to shop when she could. She watched as Maggie had seat explaining how Mr. Grayson was riding her hard and seen that roll of the eyes. Part of her wanted to say ‘oh I bet he is.’ because she has seen the glances, but she keep that to herself. “I guess he just wants you to be your best and for you to be at the top of the class perhaps. You are right it is very hard to slack when you have your own personal drill sergeant down your back every two seconds like we need baby sitters. What do they think we are going to do go out and get ourselves killed all unprepared or something” she had said biting at her lower lip, as Mags settled in. Most of the kids that went to school there know the risks and what not and their parents are hunters so should know better then to go unprepared, but even with loads of preparation sometimes you must think on the fly. Sapphire did make the most of the place while she was there and sure she strived herself to be one of the best in her class, but she tries her damnest to have some fun in this rough times if you are gonna have a stick rammed up your ass all day all night what‘s the point right? You may as well have some sorta fun. “Oh yes, I am a biter.” she replied giggling herself, and wasn’t at all offended that Maggie had been chuckling, “But you see I am not one of them girls that bites ankles. Those are just too boney for my taste."she teased and giggled. She of course sometimes was a curious kitten perhaps to curious for her own good and was asking Maggie about the trouble she has been getting into. At least the girl liked to have fun and that was something Sapphire admired about her. Sapphire was a bit of a troublemaker at heart herself so in a way she sort of looked up to Maggie and listened to her speak sipping at her coffee as she listened. She was told that Maggie has her ways of escaping the prison it was funny they all call it a prison, but that’s what boarding school are right? Therefore, she wasn’t getting in trouble necessarily at the school but outside of the school and that made Sapphire arch a brow and wondered what kind of shenanigans’ she has been getting herself into if it wasn’t at the Academy. It was cute how she told Sapphire she’d show her sometime if she wanted and the smirk that sprawled across her delicate lips; ” I would love it if you’d show me. I’d owe you big time.” Maggie defiantly was someone too look up to. “ I am honored you’d share your secrets with me. I am sure it wouldn’t come to them torturing me, but still if they tried I would take the secrets to my grave.” She was one that tried not to break easy. She was a girl of her word especially for those she considered friends, and this girl she considered a friend. Sapphire picked at her donut, and looked into her eyes Maggie seemed to have them sparking blue eyes which were just gorgeous on her and grinned. “Of course it is still hell for us younger years, all the boring training seems to take place.” She said with a sigh, sticking some of the muffin in her mouth, sticking her hand over her mouth as she chewed to be polite, and all. “When do you get to the fun stuff the real ass kicking in your face stuff? Do they let you do any of that stuff or is it still all boring papery stuff? “ She asked. She wanted to get into the hands on weapon sort of things. She winked as Maggie asked if she was getting into trouble. “Of course. You know how up tight some of these professors’ can be. They don’t like me hanging about with you older lot kids, thinking you will be a bad influence on me.” She said with a snort and a giggle. “I also tend to pick a few spats with some of the other girls in my yeah who are too much of a snore fest. Seriously how can people be so dull all the time?” She hated being around people her own age. It was probably why people thought she was older then she is. She is barely sixteen, but could pass for twenty easy. “What is it that you do when you are outside of the prison?” she asked curiously again. ” You can tell me to shut up if I am being to nosey.” She said to Maggie and ordered the tender over for another coffee since she had finished hers and needed a refill.
