- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ”I’ll be fine.” Shiloh murmured getting to her feet with a forced steadiness. She was lying of course. Shi was pretty sure that that the gravity of the situation she found herself within would soon catch up with her, and quite possibly hit her like a snow plough. Or a heard of buffalo. Whichever was more likely in the middle of a Texan summer. Still, she stood and tugged on her shirt before looking up at him again – the boy she had crushed on for most of her teenage life, and had chosen tonight of all nights to waltz back into it. She should probably want him to leave, she realised. She should probably be screaming at him and demanding answers, wanting to know why her boyfriend lay dead in the woods, what he meant by saying he was never coming back. She should probably call the cops on his ass, and keep him occupied until they got here, until they put him away for a very long time.
Yet she wanted to do none of these. All she wanted to do was climb into her bed and sleep. ”I’m okay, Travis, Really.” She tried, a small smile lingering on the smudged gloss of her think red lips. ”If... if you want to stay you can... but.... if... i guess you don’t need too anymore. ” She took a step past him, away from the living room and back out into the hallway, her fingers lifted to trace a familiar, and old painting on the walls. Her Father had always allowed her to draw on the walls – never one for photos and portraits, he had said that nothing captured the essence of his daughter better than her doodling on the walls. Of course, as she had gotten older, the doodles had been replaced by actual thought out pieces of art.
The one her fingers traced now was one of the few she had never painted over, had been the result of herself and her friends let loose with tubes of paints. It portrayed nothing legible, nothing that made any sense but to anyone other than the painters – but she loved it, and what it meant to her. It made her smile. ”I... i don’t know. If you stay, i guess i’ll say we bumped into each other. Adam... i don’t know. I... don’t want to think about it right now.”

She had told him that she was okay, and that she would be fine, but was she really going to be? He didn’t think he should leave in case she woke back up and freaked out. She hadn’t called the police and he was grateful for that. She hadn’t seen him and years and had the right too.. He could be some jealous dude from her past that wants her and did away with her lover who tried to get kinky with her and to most people that would make more sense, but she actually believed his truth to her and believed what she was being told by him and he loved it. He was sorry for what happened he didn’t want to hurt her in anyway and what if she didn’t remember any of this in the morning.. She walked past him and the smell of her smelt so sweet still and he closed his eyes remember the good old days being in this house when they were kids.
Her words lingered in his head about if he didn’t want to stay he didn’t have to anymore since her main fear had been Adam coming back, and she didn’t want to be alone.. Could he blame her. She had stayed out in the hall way tracing her fingers along the painting of the walls. She had always been a good friend. She had told him what she would tell her daddy, and she didn’t want to think about Adam right now and he couldn’t blame her. He couldn’t at all.. “ I will stay.. I don’t want to leave you alone here by yourself.. Just in case .” he had replied, and grinned softly and walked closer to her. “ Thank you.” He had said and she probably would be confused to as why he was thanking her, but he wanted to thank her.
“ Shi, are you sure you don’t need help up to your room?” He would be more the happy to help her and it is the least that he could do after the things she had to witness tonight and the things that had happened to her. “ Don’t worry I am not trying to get in your pants or anything of such nature. “ He hoped that she wouldn’t take it offensively and thing that he was saying she wasn’t bed worth or anything she just lost her boyfriend and they were friends and he wanted her to know he wasn’t going to try to take advantage and the kind of fella some maybe. He didn’t know if she would be insulted or not woman can be so complicated sometimes.. Maybe this is why he hadn’t had too many girlfriends.
“ I should probably get you a glass of water too. I think it might help… are the glasses and everything still in the same place?. “ He would stay in the living room if that is where she wanted him to remain. He was just happy that she was okay and was still alive he wouldn’t have wanted to kill her if she was turned. If she was a blood thirsty monster he didn’t know if he could handle that. “I am glad you are okay, Shi.” He said looking at her.
((luffs you ashweeeeee.. I will make it purtyful soon))

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Some jealous dude who wanted her and did away with her lover? It was a theory that had never even crossed Shiloh’s mind as the weary girl made her way towards her room. Turning to look over her shoulder, the red curled girl frowned at the man who had once been the sole captor of her teenaged heart and let her eyes take in his face. It hadn’t changed much in the years they’d not seen her. He was still cute, his hair still stuck up awkwardly, and perhaps if she wasn’t numb just then, she might have felt a stirring of some old, buried, but never forgotten feelings for the young man watching her, offering to help her up the stairs and look after her – the man thanking her.
”Why are you thanking me?” she asked, knitting her brows as she looked upon him in confusion. She couldn’t get her head around that, the same as she couldn’t wrap her head around why he had thought she might call the police. But then, perhaps a normal person might. Perhaps someone who hadn’t always longed, childishly, for the knowledge that fantastical and magical creatures existed might have reacted differently and phoned the police - locked herself in the bathroom away from the mad man who had cut of the head of her boyfriend. Of course, once she had slept and the fog of bloodloss had left her mind, she might still see sense and decide the Travis was yet a mad man.
”Yeah – nothing ever really changes in this house” she smiled, tucking one of her red curls behind her ear and turning back to the stairs. Taking a step, the room span and Shiloh gripped the rail with her fingers in a grip anyone would be challenged to remove. It took a moment for the wave of nausea to slip away, but once it was gone she tried again. This time, she made it to the top and into her room, peeling off her jeans and shirt, Shiloh pulled her mom’s old shirt over her head and slipped into her bed. Curling up, she held herself and worked to clear her mind, listening to Travis move around downstairs, she waited for him to follow.

He was deeply grateful she didn’t think he was a loon and had offered her help up stairs so she can get to sleep he'd look after her till her father got home and he was a gentlemen so she didn't have to worry about him trying to take advantage and jump her like some dudes so would. He let her head up to her room, She had been confused as to why he was thanking her " I will explain more in the morning Shi." He had told her as she had went up the stairs slowly but surely, he stood there for a while watching her and smiling thinking about how beautiful the girl has become and wanted to make sure she didn't tumble down the stairs. She did grip onto the rail for dear life and he wondered if he should go up their pick her up and carry her to her room, but she seemed to get there.
Once Travis seen she was in her room he made sure all the doors were locked, and what not in case some vampires came looking for them. He was sure they were okay, but would rather be safe than sorry. She after all told him things didn't change in the he house and he remembered it from years ago. He loved seeing her again. He just wished this wasnt't he way to do so. He said he'd get her a glass of water. He headed to the kitchen, and looked into the cupboards for a glass, then headed over to the freezer for some ice cubes and looked in the fridge for a pitcher of water (i know some people have it in their fridge cuz not everyone tap water is good) he had filled up the glass and stuck the pitcher back into the fridge and headed up to Shi's room. He knew where it was from when they were kids, the lights were off in their so it was dim.
She had gotting her jammies on one of her momma’s shirts, but this he did not know since she had curled up into her bed and had been listening to him down stair. He quietly made his way up the stairs and to her room knocking softly to make sure she wasn't getting changed he didn’t want to peak on her or anything so he wanted to be gentlemen. " I got you some Water Shi and I made sure all the doors were locked." He had told her. She looked so peaceful in her bed, walked over, put the water on the nightstand, crouched down beside her, tucked her into the bed, and stroked her hair. " Things will be okay. I promise." He told her. He'd stay there if she wanted. "Do you want me to go wait down stairs?" He asked her? He didn't want her to be freaked out you know by him staying there in her room and watching her sleep or anything.
