She isn't much of a fighter, though she will use her powers to defend her friends and herself if needed.

History

--- >> Ellia Marie St. Claire was born on April 12, 2001 to Marie and Jerry St. Claire of Boston, MA. The St. Claires were a fairly well-to-do family, and little Ellia was never left wanting for anything. From an early age she took an interest in music, which her parents supported whole-heartedly, paying for her to have lessons with any instrument she wanted, and hiring for her the best vocal coach money could buy.

In school she was a near-perfect student, excelling at her various music classes, as well as anything to do with history. When she was eight, Ellia was blessed with a baby sister, Anne, who she adored.

As the years went on, Ellia began to notice that she had a peculiar way of letting her emotions flow into her music, whether she was singing or playing an instrument. In this way, she was able to make her audience truly feel the song, and in some cases she was even able to project mental images to go along with the music. She didn’t do this often, as many people found it to be disturbing and more than a little frightening. It wasn’t just the good emotions, after all, but the bad as well: sorrow, sadness, heartache, all of these and more she could channel into her music. She even discovered that, with a bit of effort, she could do the same thing with her normal speaking voice, and for a while she found that she was able to convince just about anyone to do whatever she wanted them to do, before realizing this wasn’t right and stopping.

After graduating high school, Ellia went on to attend the Berklee School of Music, right in her hometown of Boston. Even though the school was close to home, Ellia chose to live on campus, explaining to her parents that she wanted the "whole college experience." They begrudgingly agreed, though they were worried about her and would have rather she stayed at home.

Barely a year had passed when, one night after a late class, Ellia got a phone call from her mother telling her that her father had passed away. This news caused her to fall into a deep depression, and she eventually even dropped out of school and stopped playing music altogether for a long time. A year or two passed this way, until one night Ellia had a dream of her father, and he told her that her gift was one that shouldn’t be wasted, and that she had grieved for him long enough. It was time for Ellia to find her song again, and to go out and use the gift she had been given to help those who, like her, were lost in sorrow and sadness.

So, that’s exactly what she did. Grabbing only her guitar and whatever clothing and necessities would fit in a backpack, Ellia left home to travel the world (or, at least the US), rarely returning home or even calling her mother and sister. She does try to get in touch with them sometimes, though, so that they know she’s alright. When she does return home for visits, she and her mother and sister spend as much time together as possible, as they’re very close and always have been.
