NAME » Oregon Taylor Thorne
AGE AND DOB » 20, 27th September 2016
EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION » College Student
SPECIES » Angel
POWERS AND ABILITES » Despite being of angelic origin, Oregon has 'fallen', and thus lost his grace. He has few of his former abilities, bar being slightly stronger and more resilient to damage than most humans, and should he be injured, he heals at a slightly advanced rate. He also retains, annoyingly, the ability to hear and understand other angels talking in Enochian. It is unclear if, on realizing his true nature, he will retain any other angelic gifts.
ALIGNMENT » Neutral
SEXUALITY » Straight
looks aren’t
everything.
everything.
ETHNIC ORIGIN » Caucasian
HAIR COLOR » Straw blonde
EYE COLOR » Green
BUILD » Oregon Thorne is what most would naturally toned, in that his body has obvious muscle definition without being 'ripped' or bulky. He has to do little to maintain his figure, and just seems to be blessed with a fantastic metabolism and great abs. Despite having fairly broad shoulders, he is far from being thick set, and when dressed in layers and a jacket could appear deceptively slight.
HEIGHT » 6'1''
DISTINGUISHING MARKS » Oregon has a long, milky scar on his right forearm from a biking accident.
TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS » Nope
PERSONAL STYLE » Oregon Thorne is not a man you would instantly associate with style, as while he dresses fairly well, picking clothes out that suit him, they aren't necessarily 'in fashion'. He prefers to wear Hollister-type jeans, generally faded and ripped, long sleeved tops with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows, and either converse or vans on his feet. His hair is often messy and unkempt, though it is always hard to tell if it is natural or styled in that manner. He prefers comfort over appearance, and likes fairly neutral colors, tending to stick away from the vibrants and the neons. His favoured items of clothing are his leather jacket, a gift from his father, and his 'Police' brand watch, the last birthday present he received before going to college.

PERSONALITY » Oregon Thorne is generally a good natured guy, caring, considerate and humane in the most endearing way. He's the kind of person that holds doors for others, offers up his seats to girls, leaves huge tips and is often seen to be a rock for those friends that need it. Funny, sweet and talented, he finds others naturally drawn to his company, and is a great addition to any party, possessed of a good sense of humour and a quick wit. Quite gentle at heart, he will stand up for those that deserve it, and has entered a few fights to protect women's honor, although he will always avoid physical confrontation where he can.
However, he is far from perfect. He can be far too modest for his own good, and often lets his points of view get put down by other, louder people. He is surprisingly unsure of himself around those he doesn't know, and while he acts confident, is actually quite shy. A fairly 'deep' person, he takes the words of others to heart, and insults may do more damage than they should. Oregon has many 'self-worth' issues, and while he never really announces them to others, his modesty can stem from that. He often feels like he has no purpose in life, and desperately wants to find one. He knows he was meant for more than the life he is living, as there is an empty hole in him he can't seem to fill. But he doesn't know how to fill it, and fears that he will never find something that will 'complete' him.
Hearing the voices of angels is, in Oregon's eyes, nothing more than an annoyance. While in the past their conversations have saved his life, he does everything he can to block them out and shut them up. There are times he ignores others and seems to talk to himself, and while he tries not to do so in public to avoid being labelled 'weird', there are times he just can't help it. It has made a number of people change their opinion of him, as it tends to happen at the most embarassing of times.
HISTORY »
Before the dawn of time, an angel named Zerachiel was created along with the rest of Heaven's most glorious Host. Loyal to his brothers no matter his charge, he was a peaceful, caring being; not the avenging warriors so many of his kin became. Primarily a healer, Zerachiel did not join in the wars of 'the Fall', and rather than mercilessly killing demons, he aided his brothers by tending to their wounds, protecting those he cared about through acts of kindness rather than violence.
Of all angels, none could adore humanity like he. He watched over them as if he himself had been their creator, and did his utmost to answer the prayers of those on Earth. Unlike many of his kind, he wished to aid humans as much as he could, and often granted prayers that should not have been granted, disobeying his orders to see those he loved happy. As time past, as he watched further, he began to feel more human than angel, more mortal than immortal, and death, especially the death of human children, chipped away at his heart.
It was no surprise, then, that Zerachiel's grace left him. Weakened by his love for humanity, his fellow angels cast him from heaven, and sent him to inhabit a human body, wiping all his memories, all his knowledge of their race, to live among those he cared so much for. While most saw it as a curse, it was the greatest gift they could have ever have given him.
Oregon Thorne was born to Martha and Jason Thorne, 27th September 2016, and was pronounced dead near 15 minutes later. He was without life for an approximate 12 minutes, before through some miracle, he lived again, breathing and crying as any new born baby should. But the boy was not the same boy he had been born. Rather, Oregon Thorne was now the host of an unknowing Zerachiel, a graceless angel, the very being that had brought the body of the boy back to life.
Having no memory of his angelic past, Oregon, so named by his parents as it was the state in which he was concieved, had a remarkably normal life, and lived like many other middle class children. Doted on by his parents, he was sent to decent schools, and showed an aptitude for general study, excelling in music, loving to both sing and play the acoustic guitar.
His parents demanded he be careful, and were often a little over protective of him, although that was due to his death in his early life. They believed him weak, although he was never sick, and despite having a number of accidents through his life, healed remarkably quickly. He was never without support, and never without friends, a geniuinely good natured boy, his existence was near perfect until his 16th birthday.
Without warning, Oregon began hearing strange voices in his head. These were fleeting words at first, although they would become progressively more frequent as time passed, and by his 18th birthday he was hearing entire conversations, strange languages spoken that he could understand entirely. At times the voices addressed him, while at others he was merely a listener, a third party uninvolved. This development terrified him, and had a huge effect on his future.
He began to notice that despite being good at the things he did, he was never 'the best.' He could never find a true calling, and often felt empty, as if he lacked true direction. Becoming upset at this discovery, he decided to attend college, to see if that would point him toward a certain path. Leaving his family, he kept the voices he heard a secret, telling no one for fear of being outed as insane. Rather, he took it upon himself to study the conversations he heard, researching names and words that came up repeatedly. On numerous occasions they directed him, saving him from stepping out too early into roads, halting him before he could walk under falling scaffolding.
Now, two years later, Oregon still attends college, and has come no further to finding a path in life. He lives as most 20 year old students do, although he cannot forget the voices that constantly plague him, and while he doesn't want to admit it, he is beginning to think they hold the key for his true destiny. His research has suggested that those that talk to him...are...well...angels, and no matter how much he refuses to believe it, he has yet to come up with a more likely story.
