Everyday we're allowed glimpses into the world of fiction, we're given stories of which we follow, fall in love with and sometimes believe. It's become common for the people that believe in the magic in the world, in ghosts and ghouls and forces beyond our control, to be deemed crazy. Truth is they're not crazy, they're insightful. If you only knew what was out there, what we were up against, you'd doubt what was fact and what was fiction. Truth is, fact isn't what happened or what's out there, it's what they tell you. Fifty years ago, the world nearly crumbled, evil nearly won for the first time in history, many forces fought in their own ways. Hunters went up against the dark spirits and the demons, slayers took on the vampiric population while witches took on warlocks. They were never under the disillusion that they were safe, but they thought that they had it under control. Most of them knew that the only way the scales tipped towards good was to work together, so they did.
With our heroes having settled down and had families of their own and with new generations of warriors, life's not only getting interesting, it's also getting dangerous again. With their foes in no fit state to fight again and a lack of faith in the younger generations, evil has started to gather it's forces once more. You never know where it could be lurking or what it could do to try to hurt you. Evil could easily underestimate the precautions put in place though, with academies all over the world teaching our children just how to best go against them, everything from hand to hand combat to spell casting to how to patch up a bullet wound on the run. With the knowledge of this, great forces are trying to take these places of learning in order to use their talents to their own advantages. Things are getting dark and fast, with good scattered more than ever, they've seen their gap and they're using it.
Now's the time to pick a side, decide who you fight for and where your loyalties lie. To decide whether you're up to it. While many are quick to leave it to the professionals, you could still be a hero. The darkness is coming.... No matter who you are or what you plan to do.... You need to be ready. Things are going to change and your worst nightmares are about to rise from the ashes.
