Tameryn watched as her boyfriend and daughter slept peacefully beside her and her eyes wandered continuously to the blackberry sat beside her bed. Finally she gave up and lifted her feet out from under the covers and let them search the floor for her slippers, sliding her feet into them before slowly creeping the rest of her body off the bed.
Eden's little body wasted no time in flopping into a star fish where mommy had been sleeping. While Tammy knew it'd make getting back into bed a little harder, she didn't care because right now her infant looked so darn cute, her pacifier bouncing over her lips and her hands clenching slightly as she slept.
Tameryn slowly crept out of the door, which typically creaked as she tried to not be heard leaving but a quick glance back at her babies showed them both to be sleeping so Tammy headed across the landing and down the first few stairs of the stair case before plonking gently onto a step.
Her fingers moved nimbly over the buttons as she dialled the number of the one person she needed right now. She lifted the phone to her ear, listening to the unfamiliar dial tone and waiting for a voice to invade her ears. The voice she knew so well. The voice that was able to sooth Tameryn slightly just upon hearing it.
Her eyes clenched shut for a moment, before another hello rang through the phone, clearly questioning if someone was there through the silence on her end. Finally Tammy forced out a simple "Hi Daddy."

Damon still didn’t sleep much. He never ever had been one to sleep much. Even more so when he had kids. He would always stay up when needed, and let his beautiful wife sleep. It was odd they were way out here and the kids was off in Texas living their own lives. Sometimes he wondered what if would have been like if they stayed little forever. Wishful thinking there. The fun and the sun was good and well his mother is retired now and they took over the place she must have felt the same about him growing up too. He loved how tight the family is and it made his mother happy that she had loads of grand-kids to spoil. She was defiantly happy when Nik got married down here and she could see. She even has some great grand -kids out there and is always asking for pictures..
He can't see them everyday so he too likes to see loads of pictures of his kids and grand kids, and is thankful his kids love them so much to send them some and call them. It would have been a sad life if their kids didn't. He didn't know what time it was, but he was in the bed restless once again and Karlie was sound asleep, stroking her face and placing a kiss on her cheek he slipped out of bed to and went down stairs quietly like a ninja wahhh to make some coffee. Damon still loves his coffee. He was sat their in the kitchen brewing a pot. He didn't expect anyone to call right now.
His cell had rang, and he arched a brow looking at the number it was Tams. He picked up the phone quickly not wanting to wake anyone. He didn't need his mother to get up that was for sure or her mother being a little worry wart right next to him. As soon as he answered the phone and said hello he got a hi daddy! "Hello baby girl. Is everything okay? are you all right?" he asked a little bit worried knowing she wouldn't usually call this late. Maybe Eden was sick and she was wondering what to do. They did say always to call when they have problems no matter what the time. Damon was stood there pouring his coffee in a cup and his cellphone squished between his ear and shoulder trying to multi-task awaiting her answer.

There was something about being around her daddy that had the ability to make Tameryn feel like she was six years old again. Oh to go back to the simple days when her daddy used to check for monsters under her bed and kiss all her cuts and bruises and more importantly her tears. It was so easy to be a daddies girl when you're little but it was harder when your daddy wasn't there to kiss the pain away.
Knowing her daddy was so far away made it just that little bit harder for Tammy right now. She could remember him telling Tams the first time Kellen got sick. She remembered the way he took her hand and held them tight and just made her feel safe. Like she couldn't fall with her dad holding her hand.
There was a certain amount of solace in just hearing his voice even if it was filled with worry. Who could blame him with his daughter ringing him at this inhuman hour. As his words ran through her ears a deep sigh pushed itself out of Tammy's body, echoing slightly in the speaker. A tear fell down her cheek and she stayed silent for a moment before....
"Daddy, I don't know what to do! Everything's a mess. I couldn't sleep and I just needed to hear your voice. I hope it's okay that I called."
Tammy felt like all she'd done all day was cry while she knew she had been trying her hardest to stay strong for Eden. God she couldn't stop thinking about her little girl! That was the scariest thing about all this. She was so young. Tammy was terrified of the worst happening. Would her daughter even remember her daddy? It was horrible.
"I wish you were here daddy."

Damon was shocked to hear from his daughter, but it was good to hear from her even if the conversation left him worried and didn't know what was going on. Finishing pouring the coffee in his cup the smell of it lingered threw the house and surely may wake his sleeping wife up. He wondered if she would kick his ass for not waking her because their little girl was on the phone. He had taken the phone in his hands now walking to the fridge and getting the milk waiting for her to say what was up or what was wrong had she been okay? He was worried like always and he heard the deep sigh she let out as he waited for her to answer. Listening to the words she said. She wasn't okay. Something was wrong and going down.
" Well, Princess. Why don't you tell daddy what is wrong and I will see what I can do to fix it. " He had said trying to console here and his head racing at the what could be wrong. " Don't be silly you should know you can call me anytime of the day. It doesn't matter what time it is." She did know that right she didn't have to apologize. Damon had put the milk on the counter and sipped his coffee lost in the thought of possibilities. He didn't know what was wrong, but he didn't like it. He wanted to help.
Damon wanted to make her feel better like he did when she was young and now the kids are so grown up and it isn't as easy to do when they are all the way in Texas. She murmured the words that every father loved to hear and that she needed him. A father always loves to be needed and as they get older they needed him less and less having their own lives. She needed him so it had to be serious. They should all know he was only a phone call a way and would come running. " I will be there as soon as I can Princess. I will talk to your mother, and be right there." he told her. He hoped it would put her a little bit at ease that he would be coming. " I will do what I can to help." he didn't know what was wrong yet, but he would do what he can.
He just wanted to pull her threw the phone and hug his baby girl to death. She sounded so sad and worried and everything was going shitty for her. He wondered if her and Kellen broke up. " You and Kellen didn't break up did you princess?" he asked. " You know if the boy broke your heart my shovel has his name on it." Yes, daddy is very protective of his babies and doesn't want anything to hurt them.. It didn't even cross Damon's mind that Kellen could be sick again. "Eden's okay right?" Yeah you could tell Damon was in worry mode he was rambling off questions and not letting her answer till he finally shut up.

Tammy didn't quite know how to react to her father's worry. He told her to tell him what was wrong and that he'd do what he could to fix it. Honestly, that made her laugh. Her laugh didn't last long through, it was soon followed by floods of tears.
Tammy lifted herself up off the stairs and walked down to the bottom, worried that her tears may wake someone up. Her dad said he would be home as soon as he could and she couldn't help but feel bad. She felt like she was forcing her dad to give up his life to come help her.
She loved her dad endlessly. She loved both her parents. It just got worse as her dad started jumping to conclusions. Did he dump her? God she wished that was it! She could get over that. She could fight to get him back. Her hand moved down to her stomach, the gap between her sleep shorts and her vest top gave her the chance to use her thumb and guide her hand underneath it.
In all the upset she hadn't quite stopped to think about the baby logically. But it was there, in there below where her hand currently laid on her stomach. So little and seemingly so insignificant but there.
"Dad... Eden's fine! She's absolutely perfect. She loves the bear you bought her when she was last here."
Damon would know she was stalling wouldn't she? How did she tell her dad that she was pregnant and her boyfriend was dying? It was almost too hard. But she had to. Should she just say it? Could she? She closed her eyes for a moment and as her eyes opened again she looked over at the picture on top of her grand piano. The picture of her dad holding her daughter the day she was born.
Then it slipped from her lips.
"Kellen's cancer's back!" Her finger tips ran over the cold glass of the photo frame, looking on at the cheesy grin on her dad's face as he held his first granddaughter. "And I'm pregnant..."
And then she waited for a response.

Damon would always be there for his kids whenever they called or needed him. He would hop on a jet and fly their, or well use his demon powers to appear there, but doing that he couldn't bring any baggage, but if one was dying he would be there straight way especially if they were. He didn't like that she was upset he had said he would do his best to make it better and she let out a short laugh, and he could sense that whatever it was it wasn't alright and he just wanted to hug his beautiful baby girl. Well she may not be the little baby anymore, but she is still his baby and he would be there for his children if they needed him. He isn't the type to just say you can sort it on your own you a big girl.
Damon is such a worry wart when it comes to his children. With the things out there that go bump in the night could you blame him? He wanted them to be aware of what is out there that is why they went to the hunters academy. She didn't get hurt in an attack did she? His brain was racing miles a minute, and he rambled a few things off asking her if Kellen broke her heart or if Eden was okay. He was worried and she had to have known that by the way he was sprouting off questions not giving her time to talk.
'Dad... Eden's fine! She's absolutely perfect. She loves the bear you bought her when she was last here.' she had spoken, and he sighed with a little bit of relief there he didn't want anything to be wrong with his beautiful little angel. She is his first grand daughter. He loves her dearly. She was stalling and he knew it she didn't want to tell him yet, but knew like her mother she would let it be known when she is good and ready. " I am glad she loves it. Did she name it yet? I hope she is having fun with him.You can tell her grandpa will be coming to visit her real soon." Even if he was now told not to come he would come anyways..He would be there as soon as she talks to her mother.
Damon was waiting for the news of what was going on and why she was so upset. It had been a while, but finally she slipped with the Kellen's cancer had came, back and few moments later she blurted out she is pregnant and his mouth literally dropped. She was pregnant again. Did she expect him to have a cow at her? He was shocked yes, but him and her mother for a while were spitting children out left and right. It just seems they have a healthy sex life. He was more worried right now about Kel. Damon didn't like that. He didn't know how or if he could fix that. He felt so helpless and wished he could protect his little girl from that kind of terrors, but he can't sickness was everywhere.
" I take it you already went to the doctors for this, and are sure it is back. How bad was it?" Damon asked still a bit god smacked that it was back. He would be scared if it was him, and he would be horrified if Karlie died. "Everything will be okay, Princess " he tried telling her even though it could be a lie. He would find a way. He would search the earth for ways for him to be okay if he had to. He would walk threw a burning sea of holy water if he had to. He wanted his baby girl to be happy."Do you want your mother to come home too?" He was defiantly coming home now and no way in hell would he not come even if she said she was sorry for bothering him and he doesn't have to rush home. He had to be there for his darling girl, and grand daughter.
Karlie was pregnant often so he knew how it was. Damon could have another grand daughter or grand son on the way and he knew his little girl would need support and help. All the stress will kill her. She needed some moral support and help taking care of her husband to be. "How far along are you? Did you find out? Is it a boy or a girl?" Damon was curious as a kitten. He hoped she didn't expect him to have a go at her and make her cry more saying this is the last thing she needed at a time like this and that it was a mistake. It could give kel all the more reason to fight and live besides her and the little tater.

Tam couldn't help but wonder if she would even cope at all, let alone at all this well if it was Eden. She knew that worrying about Eden would kill her grampy so she had to set his mind at ease. She had to let him know the monkey was okay. Not only was she okay she was good as gold. Tammy couldn't help but think she was holding Kell up better than she was today.
"Well I think she has named it but the name just sounds like a gurgle to anyone but E."
After Tameryn told her daddy what was going on, there was a huge pause. Then Damon's first words were simply of concern. Last time she'd been pregnant there had been an instant freak out from her daddy but in the end he came through. Hell without her dad Tammy would have been lost having Eden. He even build her crib. May have taken him and her dad a few times but they did it. Damon even held Tammy's hand through her difficult labor. But honestly, Tam didn't know how she expected her dad to react.
"Yeah he went for just a general check up and his blood work came back today. It's bad but we caught it just in time."
She didn't know how she wasn't lying on the floor in floods unable to breathe. That's how she always thought she would react but honestly she felt like it was Kellen's influence. Having someone who could stay so strong made her strong. The words 'everything will be okay' coming from her father was actually calming her a little.
Damon asked Tameryn if she wanted her mother to come too and an instant "NO!!!" came out of her. She gulped and wondered if that was a little bit too loud but she didn't hear anyone stir so she figured she was okay. "Please don't. Mom's busy and Reah's got school and stuff and its not fair to upload you all just for me!" It was true. She knew she couldn't fight her dad off and secretly she didn't want to. She wanted her daddy. She wanted the big strong arms that held her tight and made her safe.
The one thing that seriously threw Tammy in all of this was when Tammy's daddy asked her about the baby. Looking down she realized she was absently rubbing her stomach as she was speaking. A small smile rose on her face as she began to speak once again.
"I'm not sure... I found out today, around the same time I found out about Kell... But I worked out my dates and I've gotta be around 7 or 8 weeks."
Before they knew it they'd be attending scans and appointments and all telling all their friends. Was it wrong to be so happy about something but so sad about something at the same time?

Damon was glad that Eden loved the bear. He loves her to death and he knew his little girl was staling for time. He knows her all to well and listened to her ramble on about how Eden called the bear a name, but it just sounds like a gurgle to anyone, but her. "She is too adorable, can I kidnap her?" It was too cute really. He loves his little granddaughter to death and his baby girl knows he adores her little one. He was skeptical about his baby having children at such a young age, but hell they raised them right and she is good as gold with Eden so it seems. Hell, he had kids at a young age to and he wouldn’t change a thing if it were possible. He loves all his babies. Damon had helped put Eden’s crib together, but that had been a hoot that was for sure. He had seen why Karls always did it. He had been clueless, but it did give him and Kel some bonding time.
He asked her about Kel, and if they knew for sure that he had it and she told him he went in for tests and said they caught it in time before it got to bad, but he knew that really didn’t mean anything did it? He could still get worse with treatment, and could be in and out of the hospital. Which he really wished they didn’t have to deal with again. Poor Kel, he felt bad for the guy. Damon was glad he was going to go up there now with Kel being ill and his little second to youngest being pregnant again. He really couldn’t believe how fast they all grew up. He misses the days when they used to fight over toys, but now he has grandkids that he can see start that completely vicious cycle all over again. The one that hated sharing the most was Kayla it made him wonder if any of his grandkids would turn out like that.
With everything that was going on no wonder why she couldn’t sleep. Damon tried to tell her everything was going to be okay. He really would try to make things as easy as possible for her. He had asked her if she wanted her mother there and her quick response was no. Didn’t take her long for that answer. He shook his head slightly and chuckled. She then told him that Reah has school and her mother is busy down there. “Quick with that answer there princess, but your right your sister has school and mummy does love it down here, but you know they miss you too.” he told her it was true they miss her, but schooling is important.
He asked her about the baby and how far she was he figured it m ay calm her a little and make her a little bit happy threw this depressing time and hell it could really help Kel fight too. It sounded like she had an emotional day and he is surprised that alone didn’t help her sleep especially if she had been crying all evening. She had to have been right? He listened to her talk about the baby. She didn’t know much yet, but figured out she maybe 7 or 8 weeks.
“ We best book you an appointment straight away princess, and I will do my best to help you out with whatever you need. Even if I have to fight with a killer crib myself. I swear they are daddy proof.” He was trying to be goofy and make her laugh. She had to remember the incidents with the last crib he helped build. Him building one himself will be a hoot that’s for sure. Talking about things like this might put her mind a little bit more at easy for the time being.
“ I love you, my darling girl.” he told her."Does Kellen know about the new addition?" Damon asked curious. He would make some calls for treatment plans for Kellen as soon as places open up.
