A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Polly lives with her brother and his girlfriend in a tiny apartment near the city, the only place her brother can afford on top of trying to pay for her medication; Polly has a rare form of epilepsy that damages her nerves during fits and will eventually kill her Duncan can barely afford the pills that are supposed to stop her fits, let alone pay for a larger flat.
Abandoned by their mother when polly was 6, living with Duncan is all she’s ever know. She has few friends, because of her illness she is seen as somewhat of a freak at school, and because of this she has maintained a somewhat naïve outlook on life. She still thinks a good Saturday is spent making couch forts and watching old episodes of doctor who. Still, Polly is far from ignorant. She knows she’s going to die, and some days she just wishes it would happen sooner, rather than later so her brother no longer has the job of looking after her…
