Ariadne, like her mother before her, is a born witch. She discovered her connection to magic at the age of 14, and has since been tutored by her mother, and one Kheelan Phelps in 'the Craft.' While originally known to be remarkably inexperienced, Ari has grown as a practitioner of magic, and is now remarkably talented witch, losing the 'gawkish' and 'goofy' image she had created for herself as a youngster. She still prefers the use of 'the spoken word', spells cast through verbal command, as herbology and the creation of 'hex bags' often involve the use of animal bones; something she refuses flatly to touch due to her vegan beliefs. She tends to focus her skills in utilizing the protective and healing energies of white magic. Like the rest of her family, Ariadne is a born witch, and has no connection with demons.

A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Since first running away from home as a seventeen year old girl, with little to no knowledge of the outside world, Ariadne North has grown both as a person and as a practitioner of magic. Having learned to live in the real world, among real people, she is no longer the sweet, gawkish teenage girl she was known to be. Rather, new experiences, both good and bad, have caused her to change and grow. A string of relationships, one short lived with a teenage runaway, one a year long with a dark witch, the last and indeed lasting with a powerfully psychic twin, have altered her perspective on the world – and turned her into a new, somewhat more optimistic individual.
Her first real relationship, with the dark warlock Kheelan Phelps, saw her tutored further in magic than her mother had ever dared. The white witch learnt of the dark arts, and how to use them effectively. She channelled jealousy, rage and pain – and learned how to hurt others, as she herself believed had been hurt. Her current and lasting relationship with Mason Ackers saw her return to her white magic roots, and rather than using upset and rage in her spell casting, she has taken to using the hope and love she feels about him in order to protect and heal others. Having suffered betrayal, torture, the loss of a 'child' during a phantom pregnancy, Ariadne has seemed to survive more than her fair share of mishaps, held together by the promise of friendship and adoration – something that she never believed she would have when living with her reclusive mother.
Now twenty-one, and an altogether more powerful, self-assured being, Ari is looking into moving to New York with her boyfriend and his twin sister, looking forward to travelling once again, putting ever more distance between her and the lives she'd rather forget.
