As a human white-lighter hybrid, Oregon has most of the abilities of his white-lighter counter parts, but rather than being granted them as a reward after death, has been born with them, thus causing them to develop slowly over time. Like all white lighters, he was assigned a charge – and on finding her, has been able to orb, utilize simple photokinesis, and heal slight damage done to those about him. That said, he has much more to learn. His 'orbing' is often wildly inaccurate, and he often ends up damaging things he means not to when using his photokinesis.

A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Oregon Thorne was born to Martha and Columbus Thorne, 27th September, and was pronounced dead near 15 minutes later. He was without life for an approximate 12 minutes, before through some miracle, he lived again, breathing and crying as any new born baby should. While this was heralded as some medical miracle, the truth was that Oregon's father was in fact one of the elder races known as a white-lighter – sent to earth to protect a variety of charges, his first being Martha Thorne. Oregon was born with his same gifts, and thus while his body failed him, his near angelic ability to heal brought him back from the dead.
From that point, Oregon lived much a normal life, living with his mother, his father often 'working' away – undertaking the asks of a white lighter in secret, without telling his family. He grew up to be a healthy, strong young boy, with a love of the acoustic guitar, superheroes and standing up for others. Always a reliable face in a crowd, Oregon tends to be a friend to everyone, no matter the circumstance. However, after finishing high school and attending college, he felt almost lost, and while happy, seemed to lack direction, as if he was unsure of who he was and what he had to become.
It was on his 20th birthday that he started to be plagued by an odd 'jingling' sound in his head. In a constant state of flux, it constantly rose and fell, as if trying to talk to him – as if the sound of bells represented a voice. This continued for sometime, until he met his now girlfriend – Thaila Papillion. On seeing her, the jingles stopped being just sounds, and made perfect sense. He knew what he was, and that sound told him. He knew what it was he had to do with his life - no matter what happened – he had to protect her – he had to protect Thaila. He had found his charge, and his life had true purpose.
Since first meeting her, Oregon has become a father to Alabama 'Bam' Thorne, and is living happily with his vampiric lover. He is still learning to control the gifts his body assumed when he first met Thai, but is becoming more proficient by the day. Seeing himself as some pseudo superhero, Ore does his utmost to protect those he can about him, and has taken up amateur heroics alongside his studies in archaeology – not that it earns him any money. As far as he's concerned – that's the biggest problem. Desperate to buy a sparkling diamond ring for the mother of his child he's always looking for a quick, and of course legal, way to make some cash.
