Only a human, Hayden is as susceptible to all forms of injury known to his race. He can pull muscles, suffer from intense disease and have his senses dulled by lack of sleep. However, for his age, he is a somewhat remarkable combatant having been raised as a child soldier in Zimbabwe, furthering his training under his foster parents and the hunters they call friends.

A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Hayden remembers little of his early life. His parents were thought to be of some political importance, working as peace ambassadors to the numerous countries in Africa torn by civil strife, doing their utmost to end the numerous conflicts destroying the country and aid those effected by it. This made their family a target for those rebels trying to encourage the fighting, and thus, at the age of only six, Hayden's family were brutally murdered at their home in Harare and the young boy was taken captive by remnants of the R.U.F.
For the next few years, he was raised as a soldier, trained only to fight and kill. Living conditions were poor as the rebels had no permanent base, and he was often bullied by other captured children due to his pale skin tone. However, the anger he felt toward his captors and the others in his squadron pushed him to great feats, pushed him to achieve, and by the age of ten, he was one of the most accomplished child killers in the R.U.F. Given his own squad at the age of eleven, he was trusted as an indoctrinated member of the 'revolution', and he and his 'brothers' were tasked with killing entire settlements, putting families to death in order to recruit other children in a similar manner.
Another four years passed, and the young Hayden, going by the name 'Misguided Ghost', continued to kill. At the age of fourteen he had seen more combat and killed more of his own kind than many fully grown men in the American army. However, his time as a cold blooded murderer was to come to an end during that 14th year. An American Task force sent to aid African officials in dealing with the R.U.F found the kill team of child soldiers, and rather than engage them in combat, took them as Prisoners of War, hoping in the long run to re-initiate them into society.
While many of the children were sent to orphanages around Africa, very few people showed interest in Hayden. Thus, he returned to America with the task force, put up for adoption there. After having cycled through numerous foster families, most unable to deal with him due to his fractious nature, he was adopted by a set of hunters. They saw something in him that they could mould, and give him a way to deal with his past. Enrolling him at the academy for those youngsters wishing to follow the path of a hunter, they continue to train him to be soldier, although now he fights to protect humanity rather than destroy it. However, despite the couple have put in, Hayden remains difficult to befriend, slow to trust, and unknown to many about him, is suffering severe post traumatic stress, constantly haunted by his actions as a solider.
