He was thrown into some life of hunting well he choose to follow this path after being possessed and it wasn’t as if he could walk away from people needing help. He didn’t want what happened to him to happen to anyone else, but that is a mission that he should expect some failures at. Simi’s husband his ex girlfriend had fallen pray to a demon deal.
Now she was left with two kids to take care of and she was working at the academy. He was going to help her out while he can, and was going to shadow some of the students to see what they are learning about in classes that pertain to hunting things, because he was one that was headstrong and would go in blind and get hurt if he didn’t get some training.
He could hold his own when it comes to brute strength, but being aware of his surroundings to go with the flow of things on the fly he’d need some help when it came to things of that. Could anyone blame him for wanting to get in on the game after being possessed? He knew what it was like and it wasn’t fun at all. He has a few scars from the damage the demon had done to him, he had some aches and pains he gets when it’s cold out, and being in NY now, he was surely going to feel them even more when winter rolls in. The students had the sucky end of the bargain here with not being able to leave unless cleared while he could come and go as he pleases.
He could see why those measures are in place for minors and those who parents / guardians still want them protected. It wouldn’t be good for them to get themselves killed by being reckless like he had been going into a house of ghosts trying to face them without proper training and after that case he knew he needed help and he could get it at the academy since it acted as a safe haven for people.
He couldn’t very well go out with hunters he knows since they really don’t get along and have their own issues. If he even tried to team up with Simi’s brother they probably have killed each other so shadowing students was the next best choice and a good way to learn what they know and who knows maybe they could help each other improve. He does after all like to stay as active as he can be and could possibly help with the brute stuff and help some of the guys train.
So here he was at the academy sitting at one of the tables in their library rummaging threw some of the books they have reading some material, chewing on the take away coffee cup as he reads more on some of the species they have classified as threats. He wasn’t sure which students he’d be working with, but he hoped it wasn’t going to be too awkward too much with most of them being much younger then him, but the professors are probably just as old as he is right? He didn’t know. He hoped he could get to know all the teachers someday too. He knew Simi and well some of the family friends of hers that help run this operation.
Gregg scrunched his nose up a little as he was reading the materials on how ghosts if powerful enough can indeed hurt you and possibly kill you. Next time he knows to go in prepared, he didn’t think they could actually kill you, but boy was he wrong, and he thought. He was trying to crack down and learn something’s he was supposed to meet a girl here that was in top of her class so maybe she can teach him some of the book smarts and see if he can get anything threw his thick stubborn skull.. Wearing a pair of old, ripped jeans and a tatty, plaid shirt over an off green tank top that had seen better days, she looked similar to near every other student she came across. Most of them had dispensed with what most would constitute 'fashion', instead wearing clothes built for comfort and ultimately purpose. In their line of work, hunters, and even the students of hunters, needed fabric that would survive wear and tear – that could get muddy, torn and beaten, and that wouldn't fall off their backs should any number of the aforementioned tragedies befall them. She was no different – and while her petite features, naturally tan skin, large almond eyes and silken hair would suggest her being naturally suited toward a more glamorous lifestyle, the way she carried herself – the slight slouch of her shoulders and loping gait that constituted a walk – suggested she was more than just a little at home in what it was she wore. Indeed, despite walking with poise and purpose – she lacked any kind of 'grace' – at least when referring to the most commonly used definition. Despite all that, a calm air of serenity hung around her, although to those intuitive enough, it may well have felt forced. Although appearing at one with the world, and generally unperturbed, those that knew her well may have noticed slight signs of irritation. Her eyebrows, although not straight and lined, were slightly creased. Her lips, usually parted in a cocksure smile, were closed and slightly pursed. Her hands, generally fiddling with one part of her attire or another, where clenched at her sides into fists. And while she still seemed to acting perfectly pleasantly, there was something akin to deep seated frustration boiling just under the surface of her feigned demeanour. It was no surprise. Only an hour before, she had been locked in an argument with her personal mentor, one which she had lost. She had attended the meeting expecting to be given her first bit of real field experience – a hunt with another member of the academy – without a mentor watching over her. It was something she had wanted since she first arrived at the academy near three years previous. She longed to put her learning to use – and finally, she had thought she had been ready. But rather than offering her a hunt, the elder male had given her what she could only see – no matter how he put it – as baby sitting duty. Rather than being given her desired field experience, Aaya Mendez, a girl who'd been trained to hunt since she was but a young child, had been asked to 'aid' the training of one who hadn't 'been initiated' into the academy at a young age. Initially confused, on asking more questions, it had become clear to her that role was to try and impart her months of book study onto someone who was – essentially – the supernatural high school dunce. Then infuriated, she had given near every reason she could think of to be let off this new duty – but no matter what she had tried, she'd not been listened to. It was this, or spend weeks cleaning the kitchens – and that, she was sure, would get her no closer to active duty. Thus, she approached the library, although she was still not fully accepting of her fate. However, she knew, even if she didn't accept it, that she had no choice in the matter. It was deal with this new person or never advance – and she figured that no matter how dunce-esque her charge was, he couldn't be worse than being kept behind a year. It was with a frown that she pushed open the double doors leading to the palatial reading area, filled with tables and shelves topped with ornate tomes. She muttered to herself as she stepped in, something along the lines of 'here goes nothing.'Aaya stood just past the entrance to the library, her arms folder across her chest, eyes darting left and right, looking for the male that she was meant to be babysitting. She had been given her wards name – Greg Steinn – and had been told he was older than most of the students that she'd met before. Thus, she assumed he'd have been fairly easy to pick out. As expected, it didn't take her long. There were few people besides herself, and most she recognized. The only one she didn't happened to fit the description that had been given to her at her earlier meeting. He was sat at a desk, hunched over, flicking half-heartedly through a book, chewing persistently at a polystyrene coffee cup. He looked somewhat engrossed in what it was he was doing – and as of yet hadn't turned to look for anyone. She doubted he'd even noticed her come in – which is something they'd have to work on. Second rule of being a hunter – be aware of what's going on around you. With a heavy sigh, she made her way over, arms still folded tight about her. When she was but a few feet behind him, she stopped and raised her eyebrow – still waiting to see if he would turn. As if to prompt him to do just that, she shuffled her feet a little, fixed the back of his head with a hard stare, and coughed loudly and curtly. “Greg, I presume?” she spoke near as soon as she'd coughed, a tint of her Puerto Rican accent still on her tongue, causing her words to lilt a little. Another sigh left her – and in the back of her mind she predicted that this would be a long, long day. He was told sometimes those who graduated did sometimes to help train the underclassmen. It was sweet that some of them still wanted to help out he figured most would have the itch to go hunting things, and hunting creatures he didn’t think would be much different then hunting animals in the woods right? Boy was he so wrong because these things you are hunting will indeed attack… most things of the supernatural order would.
Gregg had been wrapped up in the book who would have thought you would have to be on guard at the academy right. The cup he was chewing on slightly didn’t taste very good as he was reading the pages about all things ghostly. It was interesting all the things and books were at the library at the academy. You could even find some hunters journals in display cases and photocopied versions of said journals, which had family secrets of things inside them. He thinks he would like helping out some and learning more of the book smart stuff and how to kill certain things. He’d def go out half assed if he didn’t learn this and would learn that way it was good field experience, but it could get him killed and getting killed is something he couldn’t really afford right now since he was helping Simi out when he was around .
She now had two babies to look after and no husband there to help her, and he himself didn’t want to end up where her hubby is so learning was good. So he was happy in a way that he could be here and was curious as to how the students learn since some of drilled into this since they could walk or talk. He was sat didn’t even hear the student walk up because he was so into the things he was reading about seriously who would have thought that you’d have to be on guard here since he thought it was safe after all… and kids could relax a little bit at least.
Now he wrong he was going to be schooled on how you have to be aware of things going on around you at all times…. The girl who was supposed to help with the book studies had crept up on him basically without him even realizing until she had coughed and basically asked if he was Gregg. Gregg had took the cup he was chewing on which tasted horrible out of his mouth and onto the table, and turned in his chair to face the girl who had spoken. “Well that depends who wants to know.” he had said to her wanted to see how she’d react to that seeing as she already seemed to have a bit of a tude on her . He wanted to see how badly he could press her buttons and wondered if she really was the one that was supposed to help him with the book stuff. Gregg wondered how many actual cases she has been on.
Gregg had eyed her up and down and wondered how she would fair out there hunting things she seemed to petite, but perhaps being petite meant she was more agile on her feet or something then having the body strength like he has. He sipped his coffee and motioned towards another chair for her to have a seat seeing if she would take it or give him more shit… One thing for sure this was going to be a very interesting ride that’s for sure… " You are? " Gregg had asked her seeing if she'd give him her name.

Rather, she tightened her arms about herself, and stared harder at the man sat before her. To his credit, he seemed remarkably unsurprised by her sudden appearance and did not appear jumpy or phased, even if he felt it. Rather, he remained totally calm and collected. The only movement he made was to remove the cup he was chewing from his mouth, pull a little face – one suggesting he wasn't especially fond of the taste of polystyrene – and slowly turned his chair so that he was facing her. He flicked his eyes over her person, no doubt taking stock of the small being before him. She narrowed her eyes a little, as if she was predicting the thoughts in his head. He was no doubt thinking she was too short to be a hunter, too slim, too pretty, to weak, too girly, too young...essentially just wrong for the role. It's what most people thought when they first saw her – but they were wrong. And she'd be the first to argue it out and prove it. Her narrowed eyes only narrowed further, her brow creasing into a frown. Not that it was just him doing the judgemental scan. Aaya's eyes flicked just as much as his did, and just as obviously. He was well built, tall, clearly strong – and possessed the stature of a football player at their peak. He would have been – if not for the face that suggested brainlessness – fairly pleasing to the eye. However, if there was ever a look that suggested 'hired muscle' or 'thug', he wore it. His voice, on speaking, only furthered the allusion, as it was both deep and gravelly, not that she was overly surprised. She'd guessed that a man of his height and weight would be fairly gruff. It seemed part and parcel of the muscular, dumb jock thing most guys who ever hit the gym tried to pull off. “Well that depends who wants to know.”Smirking a little, raising the corners of her lips, she merely shook her head. While she was still frowning, she couldn't help but be amused by the somewhat unabashed confidence and cheek this Gregg displayed. He was sat in a library he was unfamiliar with, around people he didn't know, and had the stones to back chat a girl who'd approached him less than amicably. She couldn't decide if it made her want to slap him more or less. “I want to know.” Her response was simple, and left little room for argument. She made sure her tone was flat and to the point – and she didn't intend to give him a name- or indeed any information about her until he answered her question – and started acting like someone who was a little gracious to be receiving one and one attention from one of the academies best and brightest. She stood for a little longer, the pair of them seemingly in a deadlock of wills until he finally gestured to a chair opposite him, an invitation for her to sit down. Not that she needed one. She could have sat down if she wanted to. She didn't need some big lug to tell her she could sit down in her own library. However – she had been standing for quite some time, and if a lengthy conversation was to ensue, she doubted she'd want to stand the entire time. However, to prove she didn't need him to direct her, she moved towards the table his cup had been resting on, and shuffled backward to sit upon the table top, rather than in the chair. Folding her legs at the knee, she turned to look at him again, and raised an eyebrow. He'd finally asked her name – and while the darker, more stubborn part of her psyche told her to ignore him – she knew that if he complained about her, or indeed if someone else did, her world would cave and she'd be in more trouble than she cared to even imagine. Graduate? Oh no – that wouldn't be happening. She had to 'prove' she could deal with people – apparently hunters had to do that more than one would think. With a soft sigh, she replied – without much in the way of elaboration. “Aaya. Aaya Mendez.” She followed with a nod, a smile tugging at her lips again. She figured it was time to make a point. “And you are Gregg, si? If not...then you have no reason to be in here...and I'm gonna have to kick you out. Forcefully.” Her smile only grew, and she winked, bouncing her leg a little at the knee – as if to show just how forceful she could be – especially when it involved kicking. He loved that he could learn he wasn’t always stupid like some may think, but the man does lack better judgment and would go with the flow of things if put in some kind of dangerous situation with some supernatural entity, and this was going to prepare him better with their weaknesses. Simi probably would have given him some pointers, but she has enough on her plate as is… He has met a few hunters of the world among his travels and he partially thinks Sims still blames herself for him being where he is now, but as he sees, it after what happened there is no turning back.
So there he had been waiting for the person who was supposed to school him on the text book crap, but hey he thinks some of the best ways to learn is being thrown into situations there is just the adrenaline rush that takes over when your near death at least that’s what happens with him. He very much is a thrill seeker. When the girl who was going to help him showed up she was a saucy little spit fire that didn’t look as if she had been to pleased to be there so he def had to see how far he could push her to her limits before she breaks… he did know people skills was one thing that had to be had when it came to being a hunter… or so he has heard.
He loved how she had reacted to his response of who wanted to know. Short, firm and to the point she had answered she had wanted to know. He was impressed… most girls would have probably backed away… he had continued to eye her as if trying to figure her out and why she’d want to be in this field had her parents thrown her into this life like many other students. “Short and to the point, but you’d be out of luck if I don’t want to tell you my name.” He really was trying to push her little buttons to test it and see if she would go running back to her professor or anything of the sorts, but she didn’t budge and they still seemed to be glaring at each other. He was fishing to see if she would give him her name first…
Every now and again, he had taken a sip of his coffee and of course, she didn’t want to take a seat where he had offered her it, but that of on the tabletop that made him arch an eyebrow at that, and shook his head. At least it isn’t the dining area that may get her in some trouble because he was sure people didn’t want her ass on a table where they’d be eating at… It wasn’t sanitary some would say… but whatever it didn’t phase him if she didn’t want to sit in a chair then so be it. He had asked her , who she is just to see what she’d say… with her demeanor he half expected her to tell him that it was none of his business, but she finally broke and said that her name was Aaya Mendez.
“Pleasure to meet you Miss. Aaya Mendez.” he had said looking directly at her making eye contact. She had asked him again if he was Gregg and said he’d have no reason to be here if he wasn’t but last he checked he thought this place acted as a safe haven for hunting families and wouldn’t they be able to be in the library too? It made him wonder unless they changed the rules and only house the kids now, but he swore it had mentioned it takes in families…. In addition, loved how she said she could kick his ass out, and that made him chuckle under his breath… He out weighed her by at least a buck 20 if not a little more or less. He has built a lot of muscle so could she really kick him out. He didn’t think so… She was kicking her legs as so it would seem she could kick…
His brows rose yet again, “Si, you are right I am indeed Gregg… Can’t get nothing passed you.” he had stated it was said she was at the top of her class. She actually smiled and winked at him so perhaps that of kicking him out was just a little jokily banter of some sorts. “So I hear you are pretty smart with the book stuff and knowing how to kill things? Have they ever put you out on a real case?” He was curious and wondered if she’d answer him or shrug that off He knew things were surely going to be interesting that was for sure… She was something else this girl

The cocky attitude she'd noted previously had only become more prevalent, and every second his mouth spent lolling open, allowing him to drone on about – well things she decided not to respond to – no doubt some form of testy and supposedly witty remark – reduced her brain cell number significantly. Just existing in the general vicinity of the moron was causing her - yes, even her - to become stupider. And it wasn't a feeling that sat all too well with her. Her distaste only grew when he outright laughed at the idea of her forcibly removing him from the library. The sure smirk she wore, complete with her raised brow quickly dropped – her mouth becoming a straight line once again, eyes narrowed, glaring at him as best she could. Her face only creased further when he used both her native language in response to an aforementioned question, and then somewhat sarcastically remarked that nothing got past her. Her little fists clenched at her sides, and she dug her nails into her palms, doing her utmost to dissipate some of the anger that was welling inside her. If it was his motive to further infuriate her, he was doing a good job. Left to her own devices, there and then, Aaya would have let fly with a tirade of insults – some most likely in Spanish. She would have sworn at him, cursed him, told him to leave, and no doubt insulted his intelligence along the way – that was generally her first port of call. Most people she'd met since joining the academy had been fairly attractive – and thus it was pointless insulting their appearances. However, brain power was far less common – and it wouldn't have taken Albert Einstein to work out the jock before her had, at some point or another, taken one to many hits to the head. He looked – to her at any rate – constantly glazed over. His good looks were ruined by the dim gaze and – well – Neanderthal-esque qualities. But it wasn't like she could actually do anything – he was far bigger than her. She could deliver a few mean kicks, but she doubted they'd penetrate his general muscle mass. And insults would be counter productive – she'd make a scene, and that could only end badly for her. In the back of her mind, all she knew is that she had to survive him for just a short while, and then she'd be eligible to go out on a hunt of her own. All she had to do was keep him occupied, and deal with his ability to drive her insane using just his God-given stupidity. Doable, maybe she thought to herself – but knew there was no maybe about it. She didn't have a choice. But then he continued speaking – and she wondered if she might make herself a choice. This Gregg, a man who'd only just met her, asked if the girl they'd assigned him as a mentor if she had ever been on a 'real case.' What was he trying to imply? That she couldn't teach him? That she needed hands on experience – the kind that would have her burning bones and shooting vampires – in order to be of any use to him? She had to bite her tongue – before the cursing she'd been but imagining became less imagined and far more real. Taking a deep breath, she unclenched her fists, straightened her shirt, and leaned forward towards him, placing her hands on the table before her for support. She leaned until her face was close to his, so that he could hear her at a whisper, and locked their eyes. She refused to blink or look away, but she did narrow them a little, trying to look as confident and fierce as she possibly could. Tilting her head to the side a little, she encouraged some hair to move away from her face so as not to obstruct her view. “Listen, buddy,” she spoke very, very quietly – no louder than a hushed whisper, “You heard exactly right. I'm 'book' smart.” She raised a hand, and air quoted when the word book passed her lips, trying to make the point that she was far more than just book smart. “I'm also just really, really smart. A lot smarter than you.” The hand raised was then used to reach forward, and tap Gregg between his eyes with a finger. “So...how about you stop with the cocky jock...thing you got going on, and stop asking me questions about 'experience', and start asking me things that might save your life? 'Cause experience or no, they asked me to help you learn stuff, 'cause as it stands...way I see it is...you need me to teach you stuff so you don't get your ass shredded by a well-endowed werewolf.” She smiled then, as sweetly as she could, and gave his cheek a little pinch- much like one would a child. “That'd be really appreciated.”[/style][STYLE=font-size:12px; font-family: arial; width: 350px; text-align: center; background-color: #414141; border-top: 4px solid #BDA885; padding: 12px; margin-top:10px; color: #C5BBAB;] tags: gregg steinn words: a little more even this time <3 notes: <3[/style] MADE BY KIWII OF BTN | |

He didn’t know what to think about her just yet, but he was sure that she had the assumption that he was just some dumb jock and sure, he acted all macho and cockish and loved to stay in shape and went to college with a football scholarship. Sometimes it made him wonder if he would have been pro by now, but he did have a decent back up plan and this wasn’t it. Therefore, his plans had changed direction in a big way, but hey, life is full of twists and turns right? It could happen to the best of them and he for one didn’t want to get re-possessed ever again. It wasn’t fun at all…
Sure, the power trip was amazing and the abilities to withstand almost any was cool, but the horrible things you are made to do were most peoples worst nightmares and those nightmares still haunt him of the thing she had been made to do. So it made him curious about what the girl before him knew and if she had ever been on a real case was that something the academy did to train people was take them out on cases? He was not sure how this place fully operated or if it has special cases of people that go out hunting… he was sure there had to be exceptions, right?
Therefore, he was just asking her a simple question and by the way, she seemed to clench her fist made him raise a brow… He had heard she was book smart, but was she ready to face some of the things that were out there? It was a simple yes or no answer and she seemed to take things way out of proportion, and leaned close to him, her eyes narrowed and acting confident. Confident was a good thing, but if she thought she could scare him she was wrong. After the things he had been threw, there was not much that scared him these days and no size two little girl was going to scare him. She was still a teen so to him she was a little girl since he is about eight or so years older then her.
It made him wonder why she wanted in this line of works since she is smart and has her life ahead of her to be something great, but nope she is settled here… why? She was even now telling him with the air quotes that she is book smart and a lot smarter then him… “Mighty full of yourself …I see… Good to know.” She tapped him between the eyes and his eyes narrowed and gave her a don’t you ever touch me again kind of look unless you want to loss a finger… The sucky thing is thought he probably couldn’t touch her and he didn’t like her invading his personal space.
He listened to her ramble on and told him to stop asking her about her experience and things and how she was asked to help him and ask her things about that might help him save his life…. The way he seen it wasn’t asking her about her experience going to help save his life? What if he was assigned to take her out…? He wants to know its something she is ready for and not going to cower in a corner crying, but no she wanted to play the snotty know it all bitch that’s full of herself and can’t answer a simple yes or no question…
He sighed and rolled his eyes, flipping threw some more pages of the book… He had a feeling that this is going to be a long ass day and perhaps the being eaten up by a werewolf was a better option then this….all they seemed to do thus far is bump heads over simple questions. She had pinched his cheek and he just glared at her… “Well then miss know it all… what do you know about being possessed? he wanted to know what they taught them… It wasn’t a picnic and most people die from it. He knew he almost died being in a coma for ages isn’t fun. Does she know how to protect herself from that? He had just read that ghosts if strong enough and are vengeful can possess a person…
“Is it just demons that could possess a person?” there he was asking her questions that could possibly save his life… He did after all go to a house to hunt ghosts and wasn’t at all fully prepared, but he thought he did fairly well till another hunter came along and finished the case… but he is learning more about vengeful spirits in this book and was very determined to get this down to be prepared .. Ya never know when you may run into an unfriendly ghostie… “Also speaking of werewolves and getting ripped to shreds…what drops one?” there, three questions… He hoped that she was happy now, but he does think the answer to her field experience if they have to go out together would be a heads up and could save his life.

It was good to know that she could, if necessary, get under his skin. She liked to know that even though he was older than her, and probably thought himself superior, questioning his knowledge and invading his personal space seemed to get to him. She would, no doubt, use both tactics numerous times – even if just to punish him for his very presence. She felt there was no rule her actual superiors gave her in dictating who she could and couldn't insult from time to time. Tilting her head to one side, she regarded him like one would look at an overweight cockroach, and wrinkled her nose as he started speaking again. This time, he was at least directly questioning her knowledge base, asking directed questions, things that might be useful – rather than questioning her experience and knowledge as a whole. Being questioned about things – that she could manage. Being questioned, not so much. Taking a deep breath, rolling her eyes a little, she inwardly smirked at being Miss Know it All, and cleared her throat with a quick cough. Possession was...well...a topic that was one of the most studied. She knew – well - all there was to know about possession – obviously without actively experiencing it. Folding her arms a little, she flicked some hair over her shoulder, and grinned at him, as if she was relishing the fact of proving just quite how smart she was. “Possession is like the easiest topic, Lugs. It's really, really, simple. It's pretty much all we study, claro?” And wiggling her shoulders a little, she held her fingers up, counting down from her thumb to her pinkie with each statement she made. “In answer to your first question, no. Like...lots of things can possess a human. Demons, spirits, ghosts, vengeful psychic weirdos...si? But they do have different after effects. And that can all change like...even between possessions of the same kind.” She shrugged a little, as if such things were obvious, and wrinkled her nose. “Most common is ghost or demon. Ghosts, you go through the normal banishing procedures, si? Salt and burn bones...etcetera etcetera. Demons...there's like...so much more that you have to do, but you really need to be in the situation to know exactly what's necessary. Generally...holy water – splashy splashy – and start reading certain verses from the bible, and then specially prepared exorcisms. Devils traps and stuff can help...” It was only then that she stopped for a moment, raising an eyebrow and peering at him hard, as if trying to work something out. “What makes you ask about possession first? Like...most people wanting to know about what we do start with the big two – vampires and werewolves...cause all the films and stuff. What experience you got with possession?” Her question was almost challenging – namely because she was nosy and felt as though he was keeping something from her, and because – well – she liked to try and make herself sound better than others. “And werewolves? It kinda depends on the type, esse. There's two – loup garoux, and...well...the movie werewolves that get all...clawed and stuff. Which kind do you mean?” And with that, she leant forward, putting her chin on her palm, and batting her eyelashes at him as sweetly as she could manage. This really was going to be one hell of a day for him. It made him wonder why he did indeed come to the academy for help, and perhaps it was because Simi and he did not want her to lose anyone else. He knew it would tear her apart if he died after what happened to her husband and she would probably feel like it is her fault. So here, he had been questioning a student on her experience and what she knows. It could very well help save his life. He watched her movement and how she spoke and she really was full of herself in ways, but hey aren’t they all in some way or another? Yes, he knew he himself was, so he had asked her about possession and said that was one of the frequent things they talked about and studied at the academy.
He bit his lip chewing on it slightly as if he were lost and thought thinking on thing. He reached into his bag he had brought with him and pulled out a note book, and started scribbling things in his note pad that she was saying so he didn’t forget the key things that can possesses people. Possession was not something he wanted to encounter again. It was not fun at all. He was sure ghost possessions were just as bad and he didn’t wish to try that any time in the near future, that would just suck balls and he did not want that. Therefore, he was trying to be a good student, pay attention, and write notes where she could even see that he was writing the stuff down and sure, his handwriting was not the best, but hey, he could read his own chicken scratch later on and compose his own journal perhaps like the hunters journals scattered in the library.
She def had gotten under his skin earlier with the invasion of his personal space and perhaps the demonic possession had made him prissier when people get in his space. He knew what it was like to be trapped and not being able to do anything about it, and that is what happens when someone is in your space and he did not like it at all. He hated the feeling of being trapped it was almost like being claustrophobic but far worse for him so luckily she didn’t get up in his space too much after he had asked her questions about things and not questioning her experience outside of the academy. He actually found it cute how she wrinkled her nose a little when she was talking.
She had been telling him useful things and he scribbled them down, as quickly as he could, and that is when he noticed her stop and look at him for a minute. He gave her that same questioning look as if she was trying to figure something out. That is when she asked him why he was asking about possession first and why he did not ask about vampires or werewolves first. Since well most people ask about that first with them being huge in the movies. She then asked him what experience he had with possession… and he rubbed the scruff on his beard a little sitting back in his chair eyeing her and wondering if he should tell her…. “I asked because I do know a little bit about it and I wanted to see what you knew… and I have tons of experience when it comes to being possessed.” he had said waiting to see if she caught on and if she’d press him further on what he had meant.
He had asked her about werewolves and he listened to what she had to say before she had leaned forward, her chin one her palms batting those lashes. He just shook his head as in this girl is full of surprise since she had been giving him the evil eye earlier and now is batting her lashes at him asking him what he had meant. “ Okay so there are two types the loups that you said, and the ones that are like in the movies so I was asking what kills them is it the typical silver bullet like you see in the movie or is it something different? It was good question or at least he thought so . Gregg went and took his half-chewed cup and sipped down some more of his coffee, eyeing her being cautious as could be since this girl seemed to be very unpredictable. She seemed to keep him on his toes so, he tried to stay focused and be aware of what was going on around him since it seemed as if you had to be on guard here as well.
