Combined with her uncanny ability to 'sense' danger and heal from injury remarkably quickly, Hope is remarkably hard to take by surprise and even harder to take out. However, not knowing of her true origins, she has had no real training in how to use her abilities and thus relies entirely on her natural instinct in situations where her gifts would come into use.

A BRIEF CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Hope Louise Theron grew up in the middle class, suburban heart of New England, raised by a family that had worked their entire lives to acquire the funding necessary to live in such an environment. Born to a Kosovan father and American mother, both of whom had originally come from the 'wrong side of the tracks', Hope was often considered different to a number of the 'All American' trophy daughters found in the area, and was often teased about her heritage as a young girl. Her family stuck out like a sore thumb – in that they grafted long hours and were careful with their money unlike most others in the neighbourhood.
Despite having a reasonable upbringing – sent to a good school, never short of clothing or food, Hope struggled in the education system, namely due to her having a low self image and few friends. Many people found her 'odd', 'weird' and accused her of 'trying to hard', due to her overly bubbly and trusting nature, while some were jealous of her natural beauty. Often called a 'loner', the name stemmed from the American cliché of girls 'hanging' with their friends and ignoring their parents - whereas Hope equally enjoyed spending time with her family, and would often be home most evenings and weekends.
Her classmates dislike of her continued well into her late teens, and Hope was consistently struggling in most classes. She seemed only to excel in sports – having a natural aptitude for near every athletic pursuit she undertook. Near unbeatable in track races and in gymnastics – she had the natural ability and flare to outrun those about her, carry her weight well, and find natural ways of moving over, around and under near any obstacle. While asked numerous times if she would join school teams – she declined, not wishing to spend more time with people that didn't appreciate her, or indeed, want to spend time with her. Seeing her reluctance, a guidance councillor suggested that Hope pursue out of school dancing and parkour – a way for her to put her interest in sports to use, and to blow off the near constant energy she seemed to have.
Taking up both as extra-curricular activities, Hope finally found something she felt secure doing. Making new friends as a dancer and a free-runner, she put her natural agility, strength and speed to use. Despite having to retake a year of high school, she is much happier in herself, and while still not popular – certainly has more friends than she did have. That said, Hope has no knowledge of why she has near unbridled energy – or why seems to naturally know when danger is close. One of this generations Slayers, Hope has yet to uncover her true purpose – and has yet to experience the dark shadows of the evil that roams the night.
