eryk allewell words, four hundred and thirty notes, i blame the beach[/div] ❚ The sun was blazing, the three seater push chair she was pushing was covered with a blanket and the two year old holding onto the edge of it was holding her bits in a very... obvious way... Obvious in the sense the already potty trained tot needed the toilet. Even as one of the four month olds in the buggy started to cry, Wendy just repeated her mantra in her head. 'It's a beautiful day... It's good to get out... And I realllly want to see the sea!' Wendy looked down to the little girl walking with her, wearing her Minnie Mouse swimming costume and her white sparkly tu-tu (yes, like every morning, Jasmine had picked her own clothes) and asked her the same question she'd been asking all day “Jasmine, are you sure you don't want the toilet?” to which the toddler predictably replied “No Momma, I'm fine.” All she could do was take a deep breath and stop quickly to lean around and lift the blanket. It was simply a case of popping the dummy back into Anastasia's mouth to calm her but it was enough to make Wendy wish she hadn't said it was fine for Eryk to catch them up. It was about the only time they'd driven anywhere in months but leaving her husband to grab the bags from it and walking down to stretch her legs was seeming like the worst idea she'd had within them. Being a parent was nothing if not... challenging. Before she'd even left the car park Dodger had decided that Mommy putting a blanket over the buggy was completely unacceptable, and refused to listen to reasoning when Mommy told him he was just to keep him safe from the sun. Wendy took a deep breath and looked up, waiting for Eryk to arrive and sighing when he did. There was a reason Wendy ensured he kept that cursed ring safely on his finger and it was days like today. With a smile, the blue eyed blonde pushed up her body to lay a kiss upon her husbands lips. She was almost ready to go again when her little girl looked up at daddy, using what she'd gained from ear wigging a conversation about whether she'd be able to walk across the sand or if she'd find it too hard, and used her twisted comprehension to what she thought was her advantage. “Daddy.... I can't walk... Is too hard!” It was a nice try, probably would have worked better if they'd even reached the sand yet though. [/div]

Sometimes, he wished he had had it long before he actually acquired it, he had forgotten, in his years of creeping in the shadows and darkness of the world, how much he enjoyed the sunshine, and the lightness it could bring to his spirit in something so simple as a day at the beach.
And it beat walking round in an overall and an umbrella whilst your skin crisped.
Reaching wendy, the beach bags slung over his shoulder as he walked, bumping gently against the back of his legs, he smiled at the kiss, and gently kissed back, only to chuckle at his daughters logic. ”Too hard? But… this is flat, and yesterday you walked all over the hills with me and fang! It can’t be too hard.” Normally, Eryk would have given in immediately and swooped his daughter up onto his shoulders- however, he had seen the little girls potty dance, and did not appreciate the idea of being wee’d on as he walked. He had triplets that seemed to get enough amusement from emptying their bodily fluids onto already, he didn’t feel like adding his eldest to the list when she had only recently left it.”Walk a little further Princess, until we get to the sand.. then you can sit and play with your bucket.. and we can go see the rockpools”.
Smiling, Eryk tugged gently on the collar of his t-shirt, and then self consciously at the shorts that clad his pale legs. He had been convinced to forgo his suit today, due to the laid back nature of the beach – but he missed the familiar and comforting feel of a starched white colour against his neck. [/style] |

eryk allewell words, five hundred and thirty eight notes, i blame the beach[/div] ❚ Sometimes Wendy just couldn't help but grin as her husband conversed with their little girl. Maybe it was the way he called their little curly haired blonde Princess, or maybe it was the way he spoke to the toddler like she was a grown up, but she loved it. They'd never spoken down to any of their children, okay since they're still tiny, Wendy is known to baby about how cute the triplets are in a baby voice, but she never dumbs things down. Jasmine was never forced to grow up or learn anything, she enjoyed it, but that being said, neither of her parents seemed keep to respond to grunts, pointing and 'want'. Jasmine got what she wanted more often because she was able to communicate with her parents, and from Wendy's experience, that lead to a lot less whining, crying and strops, in fact, they hardly ever had a problem with their little one..... Well... Until today...... As her father refused to carry her she whimpered pathetically, still holding herself awkwardly as she took exaggerated strides to walk along with her mother, hand held tight to the buggy. Eryk's wife couldn't help notice the way he tugged at himself. Using her abdomen to keep the buggy going straight, Wendy reached one hand up to run it along the inside of the shirt. "I told you if you didn't want to wear it I'd understand." It was too far into their relationship for it to not be unusual to see her husband in something like this. She could count on one hand the amount of times she'd talked her man into jeans and the number of times he'd been in shorts was probably less.... The closest Eryk came to, what would popularly be considered, normal was just after waking of a morning when he was still in pyjama pants or the occasional time Wendy would get him down to his boxers... She excepted who he was, just like he accepted her short shorts and her skimpy sequin numbers and his daughter's love of glitter and fairies... They were an accepting family, willing to accept anyone that needed the love they had an abundance of should they be willing to show they deserve it. This day was a stark contrast to the way things were only a matter of weeks ago, a wife deep in the depths of depression and a husband forced into the grip of dispair as a result. They loved each other and their children, and this day, the way the sun shone on their family and the warmth spread through them, it was days like this that made you glad you were alive, and that you were together. The loving gaze Wendy was giving him was soon cut short by a quick, loud squeak from the eldest of the four children with them. Stopping the buggy, feline blue eyes shot to the girl as she almost threw herself to the floor pathetically. "Daaaddy, I can't dooooo it!" By now it was insanely obvious to Wendy that she was probably struggling because she was uncomfortable.... but the girl would not go pee... So what was a mother to do?
