It had been seven months. Grace was sure. She had counted. The redhead sighed, her brown eyes reflecting the last rays of the sun. Seven months since she had seen the ever so intriguing boy that happened to be a hunter. The last fun she’d had. Since then, a thorough grounding was what she had gotten. Even after the three month grounding, Grace hadn’t been up to going out once more. She still earned dirty looks from some of the pack members for being a ‘hunter lover’. Of course, the little firecracker had a rebuttal to all this, but the only person that seemed to be able to understand had been Evelyn. Grace didn’t know what she would’ve done without the small teenager. As if reading her mind, the girl peeked her head into Grace’s solitude, giving her a concerned smile. “Grace? You’ve been sitting in this room for the past seven months? Why don’t you go out? Mom’s not home.” Evelyn grinned mischievously. In response, the redhead turned to give her sister a tired smile. “It’s alright Eve….” she suppressed in a glum tone. If it had been anyone else, Grace was certain she’d get away with just wanting to mope in her room. But it was Evelyn. As if on cue, the younger girl walked into the quiet room, stopping right in front of Grace. “You’re going to rot Grace! Go out! Have fun please? You’re making me sad. And mom’s even actually worried.” Grace chuckled at this before actually considering going out. Her expression turned serious, as she contemplated what were the chances she’d get in trouble. “I don’t know…” she said quietly, the last thing she needed was to get into more trouble with her pack. Evelyn simply laughed, grabbing Grace’s hands and pulled her up off the bed with a bit of help from her loup side. “Go Grace.” That was all the redheaded needed. Immediately, she sat up and kissed her little sister’s head before shooing her out of the room so she could get dressed. Grace wasn’t planning to go out in her sweats and tank top. She examined the closet for something strappy, before pulling out a short dress with flourish. Perhaps this was what she needed, just a night to be free for a while. Of course, she’d make it back before her parents got home from their hunt. Grace pulled the fabric over herself, and walked over to where her makeup laid in a klutzy mess. Only Grace knew where everything was. The redhead’s lips pulled up slightly as she attempted a smile. In all honesty, she felt like she looked like crap. Grace grabbed the foundation and got to work, keeping a natural look as she usually did. The girl didn’t enjoy putting on too much because it messed with her intense wolf senses. Still, enough to make her look like a normal person didn’t hurt. Doing her hair in a waterfall braid, Grace was done prepping herself up. If she was going to where she thought she was going, the girl wanted to look innocent, but fancy enough to fit in. She quirked her lips as she looked at herself in the mirror, happy enough with her reflection before strapping on some heels and stepping out of her heels. Evelyn grinned in response, already waiting “Well you look like you took on a transformation.” her voice held a teasing ring to it. Grace made a mock scary face “What’s that supposed to mean miss?” she asked before chuckling and grabbing her car keys. “Cover for me please?” she asked. “I’ll be home by one at least I hope.” she said, unknowing what the night held for her. Evelyn dutifully agreed and watched her sister drive the pickup out and down the road. Grace grinned at herself, she was finally going out again. It felt as if a dead weight had been lifted on her tiny body, though the minute she thought about Alec, it clonked back into place. She badly wanted to see him again, though she had never gotten his number or anything for that matter. All she hoped for was that he didn’t get into too much trouble. Finally, the girl reached the club. She looked sadly at it, remembering it was the place she was going to bring him after their walk. Ignoring the little thoughts in her head, she strode on forward, immediately embracing the loud music pumping inside. The girl whipped out her fake I.D. and easily made it in. She doubted the guards even cared anymore. Wanting to distract herself quickly, Grace went onto the dance floor and began swinging her hips and shaking her body in time to the pulsing beat. Her own self was engulfed by a crowd of many other youngsters dancing as well and Grace finally felt as if she belonged somewhere for half a second. 818, outfit, woot! partay! |
