Come, break me down [/blockquote] ****************************************** Emily decided to go again to that bar; the same one she had been the night before, and the night before and the other, pretty soon after she entered for the first time, she discovered that hunters were regulars too; So close to home and she had no idea, months living in that damn town and she had no clue, months living alone and now she found a place where she could relax and be herself, since witches were not discriminated as they usually are. As soon as she walked in, she noticed Zophiel (an overprotective and kind of real quiet guy), Mac (an empath driven 'crazy' by her gift) hanged to him as if he'd be hanged to a lifeguard, Madison (A trauma surgeon who was aware of the dangers of the night but who kept herself out), Brennan (another witch), Lily (a hunter) and Russ ( a handsome guy who had no clue what-so-ever of what was going on). She waved at everyone as she passed by and head straight for the counter. But that night someone else was there too, his name was Darian, her instics told her he was bad news, he kept himself in the dark and his eyes were grim; Emily could've even swore that when she passed by near him, his eyes glowed. As she took a sip of her drink, she looked around and saw the same faces over and over, even Brennan's dog 'Boss' remained quiet, seating next to her in front of the fire place; But how on earth happened what was about to happen? No clue... Mac was hipper sensitive about her ability, she would flinch at the tiniest reaction and as usually, Zophiel was there to calm her down, that guy seemed to alway be ahead of thing, as if he could read minds, she always found this about him weird but her suspicious grew stronger when Mac yelled that she couldn't feel him, when she was clearly reading everyone else, empath couldn't feel supernatural beings but Mac felt comfortable with him so she let it go; Darian got up to talk to Madison and all hell break loose -literally- from there on....
****************************************** Note: Sorry for taking so long to start this, BTW: I said I'd start I never said it'd be good tag: Brennan/Russel/Madison/Zophiel/Darian/Mac/Lily word count: no idea credit for the template: I did it myself

((OOC: I had the admins make this its own thread, so that it wasn't lumped in with "Abrielle's" description!)) And all I know is, you're cute when you scream... The place was hopping tonight, with a couple of new faces even. Or, at least, faces that were new to Darian. One of those faces in particular, that of a young woman that the others called "Lily," was of great interest to the vampire. She looked uncannily like someone that he'd known in years past, someone that he'd fully intended to kidnap and torture just to make Sastre Quicksilver suffer. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, and a group of demons had had that honor... Oh well. He let his eyes drift to the current object of Sastre's affection: dear, sweet Madison. Yes, she'd be a suitable replacement for Solphi, Sastre's former lover, the one that Darian had been unable to take from him. Thinking of Solphi, he looked back toward Lily again, unable to quite believe the resemblance. Perhaps he could use her as well... Rising from his seat, Darian used all of his preternatural skill to seemingly-glide across the room to lean against the wall near Madison, his feet barely appearing to have even touched the floor. Oh, he loved being a vampire! Once he was at Madison's side, Darian began speaking softly to her. "So, my dear," he began, flashing her his most charming smile. "Why don't you go ahead and tell me everything you know about our new friend Lily over there, eh? You may not know this, but she shares an uncanny resemblance to the poor departed soul that you've replaced." His smile widened as he moved closer to her. "Surely you know about Solphi? Something tells me that you know an awful lot more about Sastre than most... "Who knows?" he went on wistfully, "maybe if you're lucky I'll decide to use our little lookalike over there in place of you. Though the prospect of toying with both of you seems pretty enjoyable to me..." He shuddered, grinning. "I simply can't wait to have you at my mercy, Madison. To taste your blood, to hear you scream in absolute misery before you die." He looked at her long and hard, his brow furrowing a bit. "Though maybe you'll surprise me... Maybe you aren't the type to scream at all..." He shrugged and winked, laughing. "I guess we'll just have to find out, then, won't we?"

I can hear the devil call my name Hopeless, I’m falling down Filthy, I can’t wake up I cannot hold on, I will not let go Worthless, it’s over now Guilty, there’s no way outMadison listened to Darian go on and on. If nothing else he was a long winded vampire. Unfortunately, as much as she tried to keep her composure Madison was terrified. The slight tremor in her hands and the small hitch in her breathing was enough to give it away she was sure. Darian, though he looked young, had been a vampire for quite some time, and Madison knew he wanted her dead. For whatever wild reason Darian believed that she was Sastre’s lover. No matter how much she tried to tell Darian that it wasn’t true, he simply didn’t listen. She wasn’t Sastre’s lover, but he was her good, maybe best friend. She trusted him above all others, and she dreaded the fact that Darian was trying to use Madison against him. When he brought up Lily, though, Madison felt a new surge of fear slither through her veins. Darian didn’t know about Lily, and Madison was intent on keeping it that way. The fact was that Darian would use any leverage he could. As much as it would hurt Sastre if something happened to Madison, she knew it would practically kill him if something happened to Lily. “I’m not giving you any information on anyone, Darian.” Surprisingly her tone was steady, though Madison had no idea how. Even then she was edging around the table, trying to move away from him in the process. “And when are you going to realize? I’m not Sastre’s lover. I never have been and I never will be. You don’t have to do any of this, but just remember, no matter what you do, it’ll never be his fault.”Turning away she walked towards Lily to check on her injuries. “How are you feeling?” She asked the brunette softly, while trying to shake off Darian’s words. She was more than petrified and she needed something to focus on. Lily was injured, which meant maybe Madison could help.

Lily had been watching the vampire as he'd chatted quietly with Madison.
Her every instinct had been to drop him right then and there, and while last time he'd managed to escape her, this time she was more than ready. The 9mm in her hip holster was loaded with custom hollowpoints that had been filled with dead man's blood, which would be sure to slow the fang down long enough for her to lop his head off with the machete that she was keeping in the back of her jeep. For a moment, she actually considered doing just that, but then the stabbing, burning pain in her abdomen made up her mind for her.
She was in no shape to start a fight tonight, not even one she was fairly sure she could win.
Closing her eyes, she laid her hand absently on her stomach, hissing to herself in pain and downing a long drink of the whiskey that she'd gotten from the bar earlier. The gashes were deep, but she was pretty sure that she'd bandaged them up properly, and that once she managed to block out the pain she'd be alright.
She tried to relax and regain her composure as Madison managed to escape the vampire's clutches and approach. The doctor sat down, and with a concerned expression asked Lily about her injuries. How did she do that, just know when someone was hurt? Sure, Lily'd been limping around a bit, and was certainly drinking more than usual, but... She shook her head, smiling at Madison.
"I'm fine. Just a lot of aches and pains, and some bruising. Was a rough hunt, tonight." Leaving it at that, she took another long drink of whiskey, finally beginning to feel the numbing sensation that she knew would come.
Now that she was finally relaxing, she looked about the room, observing everyone. Immediately something caught her eye: Zophiel, who claimed to be an angel, and Mac, the crazy empath, seemed to be having some sort of trouble, though what exactly was happening was beyond Lily's current comprehension, drunk as she was.
It seemed like, right as her vision blurred, Lily saw Mac crumple to the ground, and immediately thereafter chaos ensued...

Ignorance was bliss. If only the undercurrent of reality, linking the individuals he recently came to find himself surrounded by, was so unfamiliar as to justify his apparent oblivion. What brought him back to their sides time and time again, despite making a very poor impression upon a number of them? He had little to offer any of them; he knew this despite having it made very clear for him, anyway. How easily he let himself fall into the pretty boy airhead role, and how readily he allowed himself to believe it was to avoid treading upon any more toes. It was no wonder that it entirely alluded most why he so stubbornly ignored some very serious threats to play their game according to their rules. He was all for adjusting, but something had to be preserved to maintain his faith in the world’s perceived reality. The reality he clung desperately to for the false security of believing he was the sane one; no matter how much his normalcy made him the odd-man-out. Any qualms he had were not fated for an easy ride when he tested the waters of his safety and sanity yet again by finding himself in that place. It provided a suitable setting for a past that was not his own, dangerously allowing him consider the truth for the first time in his life. Were these people crazy, or was he exceptionally gifted at deluding himself? Everything he knew begged him to give in to his own training, the ability to tune out the odd things they sometimes said to him or within ear shot. But it was for things he did hear that he kept showing up. The things he was determined to rationalize with excuses and explanations to tie into what the world accepted. What every normal little boy was taught: the difference between reality and fantasy. He would not be satisfied until he could accept these rationalizations once more. They would test him, and he would withstand—or else he might as well just crawl right into hiding with Mac. With an earnest rift already growing, Russell tried to mind his own business, sitting at the bar with a drink, allowing filtering exposure, but not submersion into the perilous actuality that he loyally represented the world in ignoring. But pretending it didn’t exist would not protect him from it forever, especially with an insatiable curiosity like his. But was tonight the night to submerse into another bout of fighting? Another night to watch as these people destroyed themselves from the inside out? No, perhaps not. Even for him, especially for him, some things were too much. Tonight, he would save his sanity. Preserve it for someone worthy of flushing it down the drain and perverting his false sense of security. Raising to his feet slowly, Russ slipped out the door. [aight, took my stab at this, despite not really remembering everything that went on that night. >.< Edit: Well, in the consideration that this thread is pretty much dead, but having rather liked my post, I've pulled out on the off chance this thread kicks off... cause my character has changed and I don't want to back track with him this much.]

((Quick OOC question: Right before Mac collapsed, Lily was having some sort of argument with Darian, and then Brennan and Emily drew their guns on him to back her up. Anyone remember how that went down?))
