It had been a year since Eddie's world had turned completely on it's head. She'd gone from being the surfing party girl who was content sitting on the end of her twin's bed while he played xbox, to a wife and a soon to be mother. As she wandered the shops with her best friend, picking up bits and pieces for the infant growing in her stomach (and more specifically against her spine), she realized how different her priorities were now. She'd suffered significantly when she couldn't do the thing she loved most and when she couldn't see a future in it, but nine months ago, the only thing on her mind right now would have been getting to the beach, hitting some waves and surfing her Sunday away. Now she was making sure she'd eaten enough and worried about what brand of formula would be best, what kind of bottle, whether or not they should be using pacifiers or not, she was thinking about going home to her husband and seeing what he thought but more than anything, she was all but melting at just how cute it all was.
To look at Eddie and Maggie you would never tell there was only six weeks between their due dates, for one thing, Eddison's best friend was huuuuuge while Eddie barely looked pregnant at all, but the way they giggled and clung to each other around the stores, you'd never doubt that these girls, like the children they were expecting, were going to be friends for life. "Okay Mags... It's up to you..... Food court or we can go home and order burgers....."

So much had changed in Maggie Harris’ life from the moment she graduated from school. Never even in her wildest dreams did she think that she would be in love with her ex-teacher or the fact that she was carrying their child; their son. Every moment that she thinks of that it makes her heart skip a beat. While she was what you might consider an orphan after the unexpected death of her father at the hands of the demon that inhabited her boyfriend’s body. She also knew that she was going to do everything in her power to protect her son. Parker was going to be well cared for and he had his parents who loved him more than anything. Yes, this was the life she didn’t know that she craved before graduation but now she knew that her life with Cooper was the only thing she wanted. He was her life, her everything. And their future was looking brighter and brighter with every passing day.
Today was a girl’s day, plain and simple. Maggie needed this and with her best friend Eddie she knew that it was going to be worth her while. They both knew that in a month’s time they would no longer be able to do this. That’s when Parker would make his entrance into the world and their carefree nature would be over and done with. No more girl parties and sleepovers, instead it will be diaper changing and feeding schedules. You would think she would hate this, she was eighteen years old and now a soon to be mother. But she wasn’t, in fact she was the complete opposite. In fact her and Eddie were off shopping somewhat for things for their babies, arms looped together and just being relaxed. ”Hoome!” she exclaimed with a heavy groan, ”My feet are killing me and hamburgers sound heavenly.” Cheerfully she squeezes her bestie’s arm playfully. ”That is unless you want to shop more.”

With a giggle and a shake of the head, the bright blonde surfer chick shook her head and grabbed Maggie's hand, pulling her towards the car. "I think my little one is trying to kill me, I've tried informing it that it's spine is against Mommy's and every wiggle is like a knife but noooooo.... Selfish if you ask me." She was clearly kidding, her broad aussie accent hiding a hint of a giggle as she continued to stride towards her fathers truck. It was the only place she could get comfortable, it was like the shape of the seat held her in the perfect position to ease the discomfort. Once they reached it, she threw her bags onto the back seat and hoped up into the drivers seat, waiting for Maggie to get in.

A big grin spread out on Maggie’s face as she listened to her best friend. Oh boy did she know all too well what she was going through. Her hand gently pressed against her own stomach as if her son was hearing his dear Aunt’s words and wanted to show off. ”Well just be glad your little one doesn’t use your bladder as a bouncy house,” she snorted in amusement. Holding on to her own Aussie’s hand they headed to the truck, her bag bouncing against her leg gently as she felt herself drag. Being pregnant had proved to make her body feel like she was training back at the Academy all over again. Part of it was refreshing but in the end she just wanted to not be pregnant anymore and take care of Parker. Letting go of Eddie’s hand she headed to the passenger side seat, tossing her bag back with hers she tries to figure out how to get in the car again. Maggie bit her bottom lip in concentration as she shifted and wiggled herself up and into the seat. A loud groan escaped her as she melted back into the seat, already getting a bit of relief from her aching feet. ”I have never been more glad to sit down…ever.”

For a moment Eddison weighed it up..... Spine grinding against her spine vs baby using bladder as a bouncy house.... She was pretty sure she envied Maggie, but as she saw her bestie struggle to walk with the bump that consumed her and the way she seemed to get herself exhausted, she daren't tell her that. Despite the pain, the lack of weight seemed to be treating Eddie better than the glowing, gorgeous brunette in the other seat of the car. Eddie snorted a laugh at her for a moment as she sat and turned to look at her, starting up the engine. "You should have said something silly!" And with that, she began to pull out of the car parking space she was in, twisting her little body to see behind her and then off they went. "My place or yours?"

Eddie was always one that would genuinely concern Maggie from the moment she found out that she was pregnant too. Her best friend had gone through so much and the fact that she hardly looked that pregnant scared her to death. She never mentioned it though, never felt the need to. It was just an irrational fear for the well-being of Eddie and the baby. More times than not Maggie was always watching her intently as if the blond might break. A horrible habit, but someone had to do it. A grin spread across her lips as she turned to look at the driver, ”Something funny? How about I feel like I just ran 5 miles on my tip toes?” she giggled as she stretched her legs out in front of her. Slowly she reached up and put her seatbelt on with a satisfactory click, not even sure how it fit across her belly but she just didn’t ask questions on these sort of things. ”I’m good with whichever…just give me a burger and a comfy chair and I’ll be the happiest girl alive.”

There were often times, in certain situations, where Eddie could tell the worry that Maggie had for her, the way she constantly seemed to be on the look out and making sure she was okay. She didn't know how worried Maggie was about her pregnancy, truth was though, she wasn't the only one. The fact her pregnancy followed so close after a miscarriage was scary enough, but then watching her friend grow as she didn't and then losing one of her twins the night before her wedding... Eddie felt like she'd been walking on eggshells for a long long time. It was worse being in the knowledge that her doctor thought the baby was a little small and had told Eddie not to do anything that could bring on labor until they were certain the babe would be safe living in the world and not in the comfort of her stomach. Eddie was in so much pain every day but it was going to be so worth it to hold her little one in her arms, to watch Sebastian melt as he held his child, to see its uncle Mason teach it how to play video games and to one day watch on as her child sat playing in the living room with Maggie's. Yes, they'd never had any doubts that their children would grow up together. They might have only been friends for a year but it was undoubtable that they'd be friends for many more to come.
As she headed towards the house she shared with her husband, Eddie clicked her cellphone into the holder on her dashboard and pressed one of the speed dial keys, putting it onto loud speaker and letting it ring until words rang through the car. "Hello, the burger palace, can I take your order please?!" A grin spread across her face. She really did love food, it just took this long to get the girl to a point where she really ate it. "Hi, could I get a deluxe burger with onions and extra pickles, a chocolate coconut milkshake and cheesy fries please?! Then... What do you want Mags?" She turned to look at her quickly before going back to driving and giving Maggie the floor to do her worst.

Far too many times Maggie sat back and really thought about her friendship with Eddie. She was one of the bestest friends she had ever had in her entire life. They might’ve only known each other for a year but that year was one that she would never forget. Even when they were both old and wrinkly with their grandkids running around they would remember how such a friendship would blossom. Maggie had gone through a lot in the last year, and who was her one constant to help her pick up the pieces beside Chey? Eddie. Just like she always wanted to be there for Eddie no matter what happened. Already the drama in their lives was worse then anyone could imagine. All of them just needed a vacation far away from their lifestyle.
A large grin crept up on her face as she heard whom Eddie was ordering with. Already she could hear her stomach growl with need of a delicious cheeseburger and shake. As she listened to her order, Maggie almost imagined what the poor person on the other end was thinking. Hey they were two pregnant women who wanted food! Was that so hard to ask? ”And can I get a Cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup only, a chocolate milk shake, and fries with extra ketchup,” she said with her large grin still on her face. Softly she rubbed her swollen belly as if to comfort her son who was starting to settle against her pelvic bone painfully. ”Do you think they’re thinking we’re nuts for how much we ordered?” she whispered loudly as she turned to watch the tanned beauty behind the wheel.

There was a huge grin on Eddie's face as Maggie ordered and then spoke to her about whether the guy at the other end would think they were nuts. Giggling to herself, Eddie turned back to the phone. "Thanks Dave... Yeah normal place. Chaaaaaaars bye!" And pressing the button to hang up. "If you see what Sebastian normally orders, we're fine... Besides.... An order like that? You'd automatically assume pregnant." She loved her husband and his love of fast food, his knowledge of all the best places to eat and the fact that he never once made a fuss about the fact he married a woman that could just about stretch her culinary talents to a bacon sandwich. He loved her anyway, just like she loved him despite all the things he did often that seemed to rub people up the wrong way. He was crazy and impulsive, sometimes ignorant and often annoying as hell, but she took that because of all the good in him, because of his sense of humor, the way he teased her often but never took it too far, the way he let her teach him how to surf because it was something she loved, the way he told her she was beautiful when she looked like a mess, the way he held her when she was scared and made all the pain go away and the way he told her every night and every morning that he loved her like she'd forgotten in her sleep or the mess of the day.
Pulling up outside the house, Eddie grabbed her bags and heading into the house. Skipping inside she unlocked the door, throwing it open and skipping inside, throwing the bags onto the couch and just grabbing her purse, searching out her purse so she had something to pay for the food with, throwing it on the table in the side and moving back to the truck to grab her phone. Using the telepathic link she had with her twin she sat there telling him about all the things she'd bought the baby and generally gossiping. The ability to hold a conversation with her twin and whoever she was with was something she'd spent years honing. "Mason said he's coming to steal my fries."

As Maggie sat there watching Eddie she couldn’t help but catch the infectious giggles. She definitely didn’t want to ask how she knew the person on the other line on a first name basis. It wasn’t that Maggie would be the same way with some of the fast food places near them, hell she was on a fairly regular meeting with the people from the deli down the street from her apartment with Coop. There were far too many times that while she’s still trying to learn to cook for Coop and eventually Parker when he’s old enough that she was far too lazy to try. Burger places like this though, wasn’t exactly close to their part of town. ”I’m sorta scared to even ask what it is that Bastian always gets…he’s huge so I think I can only imagine,” she laughed while she ran her hand through her hair. A year ago she probably would’ve felt sick eating as much as she does sometimes but now, she was eating for two and what baby wanted baby got. She’d get back to her figure soon enough after he was born, that’s was just a given.
A sigh of happiness escaped her as she saw they were finally to Eddie’s place. Maggie was just ready to stretch out on the couch and enjoy their food, maybe watch a movie and just spend quality time with her dear Eddie. Once the car was in park she unbuckled, wiggling her body around to grab her purse and the few bags of things she got for last minute things. It seemed every time she went out they realized she’d forgotten some key thing that Parker would need once he made his entrance into the world. Today excursion she’d gotten him a little baby blanket with small ducks on them and a little outfit that looked like he was wearing a suit, something she got to tease Cooper about later on. Slowly she waddled towards the house, bags in hand as she heads inside and sets them down with Eddie’s. She slipped her phone out of her pocket, texting Coop that they were going to be at Eddie’s for a while and just relaxing and that she loved him. Yes she still liked him knowing where she was, it gave her a peace of mind. ”I didn’t hear your phone rin---Oh! You used your…” she started as she tapped her temple with a weak smirk. ”I still don’t think I will ever get used to the fact you can do that,” she laughed as she headed towards the kitchen, ”He can steal your fries but mine are all mine!”
Once she reached the kitchen she set her phone down on the counter, turning the volume up so she’d hear it if it rang. She held onto the counter as she wiggled her body so she might slip off her shoes. It took a bit to finally get them off but once they did she felt the relief of no longer having them on instantly. ”Hey Eddie! Do you want to watch a movie or something?” she called out towards where she was in the house. Something ebbing at her nerves to make her feel uneasy as she looked around slightly nervous.
